- I teach you step by step how to play Would You Be So Kind by dodie on the ukulele. This lesson includes chords and strumming patters that go with the song. Share this with any of your friends who love dodie and want to learn her songs on the ukulele!
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT BEAT COUNT: I realize that I halved the beat count (I counted the "and" beats as full beats) but it's okay because it's all relative to each other! Just follow the rhythm and what I count out in the tutorial. It doesn't really make a difference. I just wanted to acknowledge I'm not the most technical music teacher lol. You could actually disregard this entire note and be able to play the song fine. Just wanted to address it for those who care more about actual beat count.

Listen, I know this is a year old already but it really helps to press against the back of the neck when doing barre chords, it balances out the needed force to get a good barre chord, if you're still struggling, trust me you will get stronger fingies over time

Hey guys!! If anyone finds this tutorial hard you should try a couple more times because the more you practice the easier it will be, *BUT* if you would like an easier version here you go. (it does require a capo if you want it to sound more like the original!). You put your capo on the fourth fret. The intro is *C* and *Fadd9* x2. The verse is *C* , *Fadd9* , *Am* , and *G* . The chorus is *C* , *Fadd9* , *Dm* , *Em* , *F* , and *G. The bridge is F* , *G* , *Am* , and *G* . Also I use the strumming patterns that were given in the video, they work great, I hope this helped!!

This is one of the more difficult uke tutorials on my channel! Mostly because of the barre chords though. Even my fingers hurt a little after playing it lol.

This is an aMAZING tutorial. I’m pretty beginner still but all I had to do to keep was throw this bad boy on 0.75x and now I’m able to play it and I can get faster. That’s awesome, love this song 💕

The E chord is definitely hard for me but there is a alternative way I use... I do a D chord on the 4th fret and mute the G string with my pointer finger. I do that my lowering my pointer more than usual 😃 Hope this helped anyone struggling with the E chord..

For everyone talking about their hurt fingers, Doodie and Elise have stronger finger pads because they’ve been playing along time so you really need to practice and keep doing those difficult cords because it will strengthen your finger pads

I have been practicing this song for *months* and I FINALLY got everything but the bridge (but that's because I didn't know the words all the way) Keep practicing bar chords! You'll get there

I really want to start playing the ukulele I even put on my gift list that I always give my parents for ideas of things to give me on Christmas day. I’ve been playing the piano and I’m not really passionate with it anymore. I have a piano already and I’ll feel really bad. Tips?
I have a slight problem. So my fingers are really short. And I’m not like saying this as an excuse. No I play the flute and my band had to go get me something to elevate my fingers because they’re too short. And the flute is a pretty small instrument. So does anyone have a close alternative to C#m?
