I loved the overall message. However, I think its very dangerous to teach that a man doesn't need love. Lack of love and guidance is the reason men and women alike are so far from who God made them to be. Me and one of my brother's in Christ were just discussing biblical gender roles vs. cultural gender roles. Though well intentioned, a lot of gender differences that are taught are cultural and not biblical at all. Just as in a few asian and african countries, the women are viewed as more sexual. It really comes down to understanding how God made YOU and how your compliments your role. When you look at the bible's definition of love, showing respect is included in it. (1 corinthians 13:4-7) You cannot love someone by biblical definition without also admiring and respecting them. I think he (along with many others) hold on to culture's definition of love. Which is just intense emotion and stereotypical romance. Thats how these things get misinterpreted.
I think God knew what He was doing and saying when He added it to the Bible. We need to be careful when we try to override God's word with human logic.
Woman needs to hear that a man loves her. Men needs to see that a woman respects him. So respecting a man shows his that she loves him. Read Ephesians 5:33… No emotions. Read the word as it is.
