When washing is done ,is water also sucked into the drum ?if yes then how water is separated from filterate when drum is continually rotating?

Washing is done by the solvent used in slurry but more than 90% of Liquid preparation contain water as solvent so mostly water is used for washing

Compression (निचोड़ना) increase rate of filtration

No dear we are taking about drum filter that is a continuous filtration equipment we can have drain liquid from a film of slurry so compression increase the drainage of liquid from slurry

When you filter the tea from sieve after filtration when you press the cake it drain remaining amount of the from residue
