My instructor is having me learn songs, but I dont like the quality of my sound. I was looking for exercises to improve the quality of the sound and saw your videos. Definitely what I was looking for. I will practice with them. Thank you.
The are great exercises to incorporate into practice. Thank you! I'm noticing that my thumb can't stay in place on those eighth notes, though. I've got some work to do.
Amazing video! After a stressful week of work, this is just what I needed. Your explanations and exercises are really helpful, I'll be working on this this weekend.
Hi Rick, excellent question! I would check to see that your fingers are fully draped over the frog. It sounds like your bow's frog may not be deep enough in your hand. The top of the frog (aka "the stick") should be touching the middle knuckle of your fingers. I have a more detailed video on the bow-hand set-up if you want to see how I teach the "bow hold:" th-cam.com/video/rxUFLzc5rvg/w-d-xo.html 👌🏻

It's the middlle finger that moves off the metal
I don’t think you’re supposed to bend the wrist in the first exercise
