- Arma 3 is the most realistic sniping game you can play. Using the GM6 Lynx with armor piercing ammo to shoot people through walls, take down aircraft and take out enemies at range as well as using the M320 to take out targets at range. Highlights from King of the Hill, recorded in 1440p at 60 frames per second in high quality on the C4G EU#5 server.

How to Play King of the Hill:
King of the Hill does not require any mods to play (unless you want to play a modded map or RHS koth). Just type 'King of the Hill' in the mission section of the search filter. Infantry only servers will have "INFANTRY ONLY" or possibly "INF" in the server name. Look for servers running the v14 version of King of the Hill, but everyone's stats were reset for the update to v10. Some servers such as Hostile Takeover have started their own version of koth and there has been no stat wipe on those servers if you can't deal with the wipe. Just watch out for those servers running xp and money multipliers, you could loose your stats from playing on these servers.

Have not played in years, but wall banging the towers with the Lynx was so much fun. Your helicopter shots were nice.
Use the Advanced Combat Environment 3 (ACE3) mod for ultimate realism. Unfortunately it's not supported in koth, but Arma 3 is still the most realistic sniping game even if you don't use ACE3.
Great video, it was very satisfying to watch, I never made it to the sniper rifles in the game mode because it was just so grindy to get there especially because I just wasn’t that good at the game.

I'm almost level 60. Just now watching this video I found out the Lazer Designator can go in heat mode. 🤷♂️🤦♂️ I'd use the Verona and guess range

like how is your vision this clear ? when i go out for sniping most of the time the fog cancels every view after around 1000 meters or so.
I turned it already low on the options but i still get sightblocked by the fog way to much ...

You need to set up your view distance + object vision high enough in the game settings. And also in the KOTH menu settings.
Hey bud. As Oli0104 says, you need to have your Arma 3 graphics options set with a high enough view distance and also the view distance in the koth in game menu. It's the tilde key near the top left of the keyboard to access the koth in game options. Set your 'on foot' view distance to at least 500 meters further than what you're trying to hit. So many years and still we dont have Enhanced movement for KOTH, it would make it a brand new level, you could climb that roof on 8:42 for example.

Also laser targets will get xp and money if that person is killed or vehicle gets destroyed. Putting one round in a vehicle grands you a slice of the pie money/xp wise.
Hit 70k without firing a single shot on a Vehicle server!

How do you target people with the laser designator?
@@Essermann you need the designator perk. It has a laser. Mouseclick and you see a red cross. Be advised; using the laser you can be spotted by other snipers and vehicles.so lase the target and turn itback off. Only keep lasing if you want to point out to friendlies or for guidance missles or bombs
And I must add, normally being a sniper long range is not very rewording money wise, but that feeling that you kill that other sniper who is lurking in the grass, because with the designator also comes thermal view, using a ghillie-suit can block that a bit, but you can see the white hot glowing barrel..
Normally i go with the ammo, designator and sniper perk. I pick the lynx with the APFSDS rounds. And the long range scope. The 408 is more accurate @ over 2000mtr, but that APFSDS makes up significantly by still some pen power at long range. I made kills over 2600mtr. But have to check when online. I thought stats could be looked into outside Arma3, but @Luke9k could answer that probably better..
@@Machil77 Some good info dude, thanks. :) You can look at stats externally, but it does not show as many stats as when you check in game and indeed the longest range kill is not included. To see your stats outside of the game go here: stats.armakoth.com/#/stats/home and click on the small 'Mt Stats' icon at the bottom of the screen. You will need to be signed into Steam on what ever browser you're using.
can you take a screenshot of your settings? I can see clear with thermal DNSR . All is green....

I have increased my field of view, I show how to do it in this video: th-cam.com/video/KcJEHbg4i6o/w-d-xo.html&t adjust the FOV does affect optics though, so you will need to point up in the air a bit more to make those longer shots.
