    Easy Chicken Korma Recipe
    Ingredients:
    ¼ cup cooking oil
    1¼ cups onion, thinly sliced
Whole spices: 2 cinnamon sticks, 5 cardamoms, 4 cloves, 2 bay leaves
    1 tbsp garlic paste
    1½ tbsp ginger paste
1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
1½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
    6-7 green chilies, slit
    2 tsp cumin powder
    2 tsp coriander powder
    ½ tsp garam masala
    ½ cup water
    1½ tbsp raisins (kishmish)
    2 tbsp cashew paste
    1 cup hot milk
    1 tbsp ghee
    1 tbsp powdered milk
    A small pinch of sugar
    Fried onions for garnish
    Instructions:
Heat the Oil: In a large pan, heat the oil over medium heat.
Sauté Onions and Spices: Add the sliced onions and whole spices (cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves, bay leaves). Cook until the onions turn light pink.
Add Pastes: Stir in the garlic and ginger pastes. Sauté for 30-40 seconds.
Cook Chicken: Add the chicken pieces, salt, and green chilies. Mix well.
Add Dry Spices: Sprinkle in the cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir to combine.
Simmer: Pour in ½ cup of water. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Add Nuts and Milk: Mix in the raisins and cashew paste. Then, add the hot milk, ghee, powdered milk, and a pinch of sugar. Stir well.
Final Cook: Cover and let it simmer on low heat for another 15 minutes.
Garnish and Serve: Once the korma is cooked, garnish with fried onions. Serve hot with pulao or parathas for a delicious meal.

20 mins cover + 15 mins cover, won't the chicken be overcooked?

Great question! Typically, the cooking time depends on the size and cut of the chicken. For this recipe, the gentle simmering helps the flavors meld together without drying out the chicken. If you're using smaller pieces or prefer your chicken less tender, you can definitely adjust the cooking time to suit your taste. Thanks for reaching out with your concern! 😊

You should use dark meat if you're worried about over cooking chicken. It honestly gets better the longer you cook it.

Try using dark meat and not the breast, the longer it’s cooked the more tender it is

What is the meaning of korma !It's called chicken khoorma and the preparation is too wrong it's called village ka korma😭

    • @Voyagers-r6w
      @Voyagers-r6w 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

In Bangladesh there is nothing called Khoorma..Korma is our traditional food..so you don't need to comment on what you don't know! And there are huge differences between Bangladeshi and Indian Pakistani recipes! You should educate yourself about food from different countries before commenting!

How is it any different from usual cooking that a working mum would find easier to cover?
