Umar Akmal is absolutely the best middle order batsman in Pak cricket - with fantastic reflexes, great footwork and superb eye hand coordination! Unlike others playing in the Pakistani team, Umar takes the minimum amount of time to settle down - against both spin bowlers and pacemen. His innate skills are reflected also in his fielding - absolutely one of the best in the country in the outfield. Umar Akmal and Usman Qadir are two supremely talented cricketers who have been kept out of the Pakistan cricket team on reasons that are absolutely unclear!!!

There was no doubt about umar Akmal talent and ability probably one of the best talent from pakistan in last decade or so, but the issue with him was his attitude.

I never forget his 2009 T.20 WC performance 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. Kya thokka tha Umer Australia ko #Bret Lee ko. I’m so sad to see his career in danger. I hope he come back in Pak team witch he deserve very well. I had no clue that Mrs Umar Akmal is the daughter of Abdul Qadir - that sort of indicates that the same group/individuals that was/ were against Abdul Qadir are against the inclusion of Umar and Usman. A favorite foreign coach of Pakistan comes to mind - that Abdul Qadir had indicated was not quite the person for Pakistan cricket.

The problem with Pakistan team is if you are regular in T20 they add you in odi I feel Umar Akmal can be good player for odi and test but Pakistan selection is always based on PSL that's the negative part of it just wait for 2025 CT you might see Azam Khan in the Odi team

Akmal has had a roller-coaster international career, marked by flashes of brilliance but also long periods of poor form and controversies. He was once touted as a future star for Pakistan, scoring a century on Test debut in 2009 and amassing over 3,000 ODI runs at a strike rate of 86 by his early 20s.

These two were highly talented but rather then focusing on their performance they started to become social media people. I have to say a big thank you to Ahmed Shahzad, after he was dropped after the first match of the CT17, Fahar came in and we ended up winning the trophy.
