I've had both. A cat is generally easier because they use a cat litter box. Dogs must be trained and it takes a long time. Cats are very smart. If you are quiet and loving and provide a good home for your pet, either will be fine. Cats don''t have to be put outside or walked. They can be left for longer periods of time because of their use of the litter box. The more time you spend playing and loving your new pet, the better and more lovable they will be.
