3 years isnt long, i bought my 2005 Lincoln Town Car 5 years ago and it still has what appears to be the original bags. It sits outside as well.

Finally happened to my grandparents town car today. Started to sag on the right, now when you park it, it deflates overnight.
Original part lasted them 16 years.
Mines an 04 and it just finally went all the way out yesterday on the way to work, now it bounces about a foot off the ground over potholes lol, gonna have to fix it ASAP got one nasty headache from all the bouncing around this morning lol
I just picked an 03 and the air bags still work but I really think I’m going to just buy all the parts to replace them right now! Just in case!

Thanks to you I found out my problem was actually a hole in the hose going to the compressor patched it up with duck tape 😂 and it started working again

I'm almost there pretty soon I'll have to change them. Back years ago this job would cost $3,200 hundred dollars. If anyone has other estimates let me know. For doing it yourself that's how much money you will save. Thumbs up on this.
300 dollars for a complete new air suspension on internet, comes with compressor, bags, and all, I do everything possible myself saves so much labor even with buying tools
Hello everyone. I have a question. Lincoln town car 2007. The right side of the car is 2 centimeters lower than the left. I'm looking for the reason and I can't find it. I moved the rear air bellows from the right to the left and nothing changed. I moved the Makpersons from the right to the left front and nothing changed. I checked the Watts rod, it's working. I moved the air bellows valves from the right to the left and still the same. Can any of you help me?

Just yesterday I had the whole rear suspension changed to springs and shocks on my '03 Town Car. The bags are appx. $600 apiece. Mine are 20 years old, I won't ever have to mess with them again. The conversion kit was $600, so way cheaper than the bags.

@@Sammy-ty1wz I just got two new bags from Suncore Industries, $70 for the pair . I'm reusing my solenoids and my air compressor is fine. 2006 TC with 135,000 miles.I love the air suspension since I tow a motorcycle trailer, and it's self leveling.
Does this have the ability to turn my car off if it's broken. It keeps shutting off the engine than just able to turn on. But that turning off randomly crap can ruin the harmonic balencer

Can you show us how to adjust the air ride sensor please? Mine is a little low in the back.
My 2006 has a single height sensor over the rear end on a frame rail. Earlier ones have 2. My sensor was in a little slot 2 inches wide, I loosened the 2 bolts holding it in and slid it a 1/4 inch to one side to raise or lower my car an inch.

I just changed mines, and I had the same problem after putting the new ones. Didn't go up. I heard the air compressor working but the car just stays down.
You probably either got an air line leak or a bad vehicle height sensor, my money would be on the air line, very common problem
Great video good job and nice explaining the steps, but you guys forgot to bleed out the compressor before turning it on after installing the new air bags, so you guys basically exploded the compressor because it was full with water 💧n pressurized air that's why you guys saw that it didn't have the locking clip and the blot that holds it In place and alot of water around the compressor. Good luck for next time you change them again, but got down with the video 👌🏾👏🏽🤟🏼👍🏼

Compressor was likely on its way out anyways, they don’t last forever, especially if your bags have been leaking a while, my compressor only lasted about 2 months after the bag started leaking now they’re both bad

How much noise did the new compressor make? I replaced mine with a compressor from Car Parts and it sounds louder than a cement mixer. Was yours quite, and if so what brand?

What anybody knows about if changing the air suspension bags and I also change the air suspension compressor.
But after 4-5 hrs later the air suspension goes all the the way. You think what is the other problem to fix. If anyone knows.

You need to lift the car, the leveling sensor is between the two air bags, you’ll see it

We put coil springs. Much better! Lasts forever! We got tired of replacing air bags😤😥😥😥
we prefer air suspension instead of springs, the reason is because when the car is going over 50 miles it loses stability

THEY WOULDN'T BE USING THE COIL SPRINGS IN A COP CAR! IF THEY LOST STABILITY!!!! AND WE DRIVE THEM ALL OVER 55 MPH!! THE LINCOLNS' TOO!! WE GOT SICK OF NEVER ENDING PROBLEMS WITH THE AIR BAGS!

Just put the air bags in and low and behold, the compressor isn’t working 😂
Too much trouble! I just went ahead and did a coil spring conversion on my 2003 Lincoln Town Car. It was a lot easier and I can't tell any difference in the ride.

Young Dude….the car’s hood IS NOT a workbench! Have some respect for the paint! At least put a blanket or something to prevent unnecessary scratches and dings.
If it’s his car it shouldn’t matter, I do this on all my vehicles because I don’t care about the paint, my trucks paint is faded and I’ve hit deer with both cars lol
