      You're welcome. Just a tip as well, you will need to soak the mister nozzles in vinegar when they clog to remove the hard water deposits (Calcium) due to our hard water here in phoenix.

      @@lifeisrandom23 so the calcium filter was good enough alone?

      @@Bluberrypie157 it's much better than not having it but you know how phoenix water is. I would still soak the removable nozzles in vinegar if you see them not working properly from time to time.

      Thanks! I got mine at home depot. Lowes or any hardware store should have them. They are about an inch or so wide. I forget the lengths they sell it in, but I cut mine to suit my needs.

    How about put a ball valve then you make it easy to drain...
    Nice video though how much cooler is it in the shade now?

      That's a good suggestion. Thanks. I'm not sure exactly how many degrees cooler it makes it, but it definitely does make it cooler.

    What size orifice (mm) did you use on the nozzles, 0.1 or 0.8mm etc

    • @lifeisrandom23
      @lifeisrandom23  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Dolores. I am not sure as they don't list it on the package, but It's the low pressure ones that come in a 5 pack or you can buy the nozzles individually at any big box store. I put a link to where I purchased mine at Lowes. The Home Depot also has them. The package will tell you if it's low or high pressure. You want the low pressure ones for a simple system like mine.

    Hi Hector, I have a question about your sunshade? How were you able to install it on your aluminum patio? Good work btw.

    • @lifeisrandom23
      @lifeisrandom23  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello again. I just realized I misunderstood your question. You were asking about the sunshade, not the misting system. I used coarse sheet metal screws for the brackets that came with the sunshade. Hope this helps.

    So you just hook it up to the hose? There is no like 300.00 dollar pump? Does it get everything wet?

    • @lifeisrandom23
      @lifeisrandom23  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. It's a low pressure system so no high pressure pump is required. It does get things a little damp.

    Quick question did you angle the misters downward or at 45 degrees? I’m trying to see what’s the best position

    • @lifeisrandom23
      @lifeisrandom23  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a matter of preference. the center nozzles are on an adjustable section so I can turn them. The ones on the sides are fixed angled slightly inward.

    Which motor you are using for the water pressure....?

    • @lifeisrandom23

      Hi. It's a low pressure system. No pump needed.

    How’s the floor. My floor gets wet all the time.

    • @lifeisrandom23
      @lifeisrandom23  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds about right. It's normal. It's a low pressure system, so the droplets are a little larger than a high pressure system with a pump. You can aim your nozzles away from where it's getting too wet. I have mine aimed at 45 degrees away from my sitting area in some spots.

      I made the eave pieces myself out of flat aluminium, and the ones for under the patio overhang out of wire as I did not want to drill anything into it. You can probably find pre-made ones in the big box stores or on Amazon.

    that calcium (hardness) remover item really intrigued me .. how expensive is it? Can it be "purged" / cleaned to de-calcify the crap it collects? Or is it simply better to just go buy a new calcium remover each season....?

    • @lifeisrandom23
      @lifeisrandom23  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. I just buy a new one when it stops working as well, but they seem to last a long time. They are fairly inexpensive on Amazon.

    • @lifeisrandom23

      Hi Jonathan. I can't remember the exact cost, but it was fairly inexpensive. The most expensive parts will be the nozzle sections sold in a set of 5 sections for about 18.00 each. I think I may have spent about 120.00 or so on everything.

      Hector A let me know what you would charge. I have a standard patio. I would want it to be exactly like yours with the ability to decide which section of the patio gets the mist. Also like the idea of extending the hose length with PVC. Let me know what your hourly rate is if you're interested. I'm near 35th ave and Deer Valley
