Well, im actually the contrary. I wish cyberpunk had the amount of npc interactions and quests like starfield. And player decision actually impacts the story. But 2.0 seems to be the game changer cyberpunk needed.
its the bit i see the least amount of criticism towards, but i still see a lot of people who either have legit complaints about it (the disconnect between main missions and side jobs is my one real complaint) or just still want to be "that guy" who hates CP77
I didn't have issues with the story. I like the story and side quests, the only thing I was surprised about was how short the story actually is. I did all the side quests first then when I did the story missions it was incredibly short! But I really enjoyed the game and can't wait for 2.0 and Phantom Liberty!
I don't think we can just say "the story is short", it's that it's possible to rush the game in IIRC 17-20 hours? But that's deliberately avoiding all romanceable NPCs, and the "getting to know Johnny" arc, so you don't get the ending option with Panam or the "suicide run" up Arasaka Tower. It's less of a "short story" and more of a specific mission chain you need to do to trigger "Meet Hanako at Embers". I think this was a very conscious design decision because back in 2019/2020 gamers were whining constantly that games were "too long". I remember laughing when people then immediately pivoted to CP77 being "too short". My playthroughs have all been over 60 hours. But if you play the game to try out different builds, then the relatively modest number of hours you need to level up, lets you got back and start another build, or have a couple going at the same time etc.
@@gospelofrye6881Judy and Panam's arcs are optional side quests. You don't need to do them. Also, only Panam's quest chain actually offers any change to the ending of the story. My research is actually playing the game. I can complete it in under 4 hours, and I'm not a speedrunner.
I don’t really understand why people had issues with the games story though.. like the main story is phenomenal in my opinion, and the side quests r just as interesting, all the way down to the smaller stories in the gigs and NCPD scanner hustles r mostly excellent .. but hey, to each their own I guess .. can’t wait for 2.0 and PL
I think the exact same thing but I don't think its most people it was these reviewers in particular. I only played the game last year because people kept saying that while the game runs roughly the story and characters are phenomenal. I think that's the consensus like people only kept recommending the game because of that great story plus there are some amazing side quests, some of the best writing cd projekt has ever done. These reviewers are talking nonsense
To each their own, I found the main story to be mid at best, the romance options are phoned in, there were like four interesting side quests that weren't just fetch quests, and the biggest sin of all was the world wasn't nearly as interactive as advertised
that's people who think that if they hate then they need to hate all the way, people with black and white mentality. Most of them didn't even pay attention cause they were already angry from the gameplay
Well tbf, the game was promoted that your decisions mattered and after we noticed that dialogue really doesn't matter most of the time, specially in the main quest, the disappointment was clear, not justified the magnitude but, it had a reason that even the official twitter changed their description because of that. The story tho is great, even if the only "choice" you have is in the third act in which you really don't go beyond that, the story and how crude it is, is very good. And yeah, the fact that they changed the description was because they knew they were misleading with that consciously, and then changed it to minimize the backlash.
I always felt like the stamina perks were totally useless, so ar least this will give more of an incentive to increase ur stamina and it’s regeneration
well to be fair since the last 3 years i´ve seen a lot of people complaining about how the game is too easy even on higher difficulties, so this change might add to that difficulty. Also i think it will be definitely possible to upgrade how much time you can shoot before draining your stamina completely; running won´t consume it anymore as i heard
The story is amazing and certainly the best aspect of the game at launch. There is an issue with the main motivation for V clashing with the open world and side quests a bit because of it's sense of urgency, but that is an issue shared with most games like this I think.
Ok at that point you'd have to take away lots of player freedom if you want a realistic pace to the game. Would also be a slog on multiple playthroughs
@@jello5508 Well the criticism is more geared to the premise itself. You can't improve on the criticism without changing the premise. I like the premise itself enough to compromise on it, but it does directly clash with the other half of the game's freedom, which is the appeal for a lot of people and how they marketed it. Adjust the premise to reflect the freedom you want, not constrain freedom for the sake of the story. To me, merely de-escalating the rate V deteriorates would have been enough. Changing that initial interaction with Viktor after you wake back up from Weeks to something much longer.
Yeah, they fell into the same trap with the Witcher 3 (my favourite game of all time). It doesn't really make sense for Geralt to be helping some woman find her pan when the situation with Ciri is so urgent.
I felt the main plot was pretty weak, actually. It felt very 'paint by numbers' and wasn't particularly inventive in any major respect. Where I think the story really shined was through side quests. I was hoping for a longer and more interesting main campaign, honestly.
@@jello5508 I think this confusion about what kind of game they wanted it to be, is the root cause of a lot of its launch issues. Either go with a mafia like approach, where the city is simply a backdrop for the plot...or try to emulate rockstar and create an open world with tons of things to do besides the main story. What they ended up with was neither
It felt rushed in a lot of key spots. The fact that the main story is only 20 hours, but with side content, you can push out past 50-60hrs is frustrating. A lot of the beats are just extremely rushed or even skipped over. Tons of npcs you save just hang around, pretending they'll be important eventually, but they never do.
I went into the game very skeptical bc of launch so I waited to get a ps5 to play and … call me basic but I was actually blown away by how good the story is especially after the heist mission when you turn into Johnny Silverhand
I'm really curious to hear more about crafting/upgrading systems in 2.0. One of my few really big complaints in the base game was the fact that the ability to craft/upgrade high-level gear was locked behind spending A LOT of skill points. So basically, if you wanted to access some of the best gear, then you just had to spend a pretty good chunk of your points on that skill tree, which really felt like it limited the rest of your build options. I don't necessarily think that the crafting tree should be removed, but the ability to craft/upgrade good gear shouldn't be locked up.
yeah that was my biggest gripe, having to be at level 18 tech to unlock half of the legendary/unique weapons (including smasher's shotgun) was really annoying. hopefully they at least change the whole blueprint system
@@found6393 The only references I saw in the SL build planner were related to getting more mats and the number of upgrades Cyberware can receive. Also that you can upgrade cyberware is interesting all on it's own. I am very interested in how that will affect item crafting and upgrading for all of those signature weapons we picked up.
I completely tore apart the new skill tree and didn't see any crafting perks in the tech tree so either that's been scrapped or crafting is now universally available to all builds
i genuinely think the story and world are a bit too nuanced for some; not trying to be that guy, but so many seem to completely miss out on big moments simply because the game doesn't break it down and tell them how big it is
@@geronuis2295I think a lot of people blew through the story without doing the side content. When you have those endings they aren’t nearly as good as it is when you do most of the side content before ending the game.
The way they worded it calling them "issues" is weird. It's more that they didn't like it. The devs made the story the way it is because they wanted to. That's not an issue.
There are a few things that were initially supposed to be in CP2077 that were cut before release which I was hoping this would bring back. Primarily a subway system and wall-hanging
I think it was established, that the subway system was scrapped way back actually. Like when the cinematic trailer dropped, with the famous subway sequence, it was known in the studio that it wouldn’t be in the game.
I'd be happy if the car chases were more than cut scenes. I was more than disappointed when I realized it doesn't matter what you do and you couldn't even fail them.
@a.x.w they actually got you covered woth that, 2.0 adds gta5 style cops and also adds car combat. Idk how effective it'll be tho. And also if you get PL then some cars will have guns mounted on them
These guys talk like they played 1.0 and haven't touched it until 2.0. The wardrobe system lets you wear whatever you want already and blades have always been more than viable.
Yeah these guys are the epitome of a casual gamer reviewing a, at this point, living product(Yuck but if there was gonna be one it would be "Cyberpunk" lol)
Same, the story nails everything I would want from this genre. Even the bittersweet endings fit perfectly. Can't wait to see how the expansion adds to the overall narrative!
This is great to hear. I have a bunch of hours into it, but never ended up finishing it, then after hearing about 2.0 I kinda stopped just because I was not a fan of the perk tree. Excited for when this and Phantom Liberty drop.
I finished the game for the first time with 140 hours of gameplay, I think. Didin't reset or start over, just done all the secondary quests, gigs, etc. I can say that there's a lot in this game to do. I'm saying this because I have a friend that said to me: "cyberpunk is cool but I finished the game in 20 hours" He just finished the main quest and thought that's it. Saw everything the game have to show.
I feel like the changes to the perk tree in this update is greater change as the ordinator mod, change the perks in Skyrim and took the game from kind of fun to really fun and immersive
@@lucasmiranda660I don’t know about you but the side gigs and quests were more fun to me than the main story. Shame people ignore them. NCPD scanner is lame though IMO.
I will NEVER understand a game that gives you 50,000 different outfits given that it has FIRST-PERSON view only, and you can see them ONLY on mirrors or when riding a motorcycle. Such a ridiculously wrong foundation choice! This game should AT LEAST give the OPTION for third-person view.
One of the main issues I had with main game was once you reached level 50 with all legendary weapons and armors even on highest difficulty there was no one to fight V was to powerful. Hope when we reach max level in CP and DLC there is someone challanging to fight that isn't MaxTac otherwise it's missed oppertunity and little disappointing.
@@VisionoftheChief i really dont know if that could work without reworking most of the endings, im pretty sure all of them are either "V leaves night city" or "V dies", and then you reload a save before going into Arasaka. i wish there was a new game+ though, i just dont see it ever happening without a major story overhaul
@MrAnoymousBoss123 They can make it a mode that unlocks after that point seeing as the game knows when you complete the story. Just something to keep people playing basically.
@@VisionoftheChief yeah i agree, it would be nice (in a sort of TVHM/UVHM from borderlands 2 way). if they don't do it here (for story reasons) i hope they find a way to do it for Cyberpunk: Orion
I'm cautiously optimistic about this update. I'm a little on the fence about the changes to crafting, healing, and stamina being drained from shooting, but overall it looks like how your character develops will be more meaningful.
i like the stamina drain on most combat actions because it feels closer to the original ttrpg, where you had to be really deliberate with positioning, accuracy, ammo usage and understanding weapon ranges to be truly effective. it might be a turn off for some people though, but elden ring was game of the year and stamina drain was a big part of the combat system
@@MrAnoymousBoss123 well i also would definitely say Baldurs Gate 3 being as huge as it is might possibly make people enjoy the systems that are closer to its TTRPG roots. BG3 is easily the most popular ive seen a game of its type get
@@quinnmarchese6313 yeah, i dont have a pc or ps5 to play it just yet, but the mainstream love and respect for BG3 was surprising to see (not that i thought it would be bad, but i thought it would be too niche). ttrpgs are at the core of all modern rpgs, and a return to those roots is honestly in order. larian and cdpr leading that push are probably the two best studios to really do that
@@MrAnoymousBoss123 I genuinely feel bad for the people who can't play bg3 yet, it's the freshest RPG I've played since new Vegas, and it also benefitted from working at release lol, but I'm also happy to see the tides turn in CP77s favor, I liked it from day one
@@quinnmarchese6313 yeah im waiting for it to come to xbox (i think they said early 2024) so ive avoided as much content as i could on it, but even with that nobody has been able to avoid seeing the praise for it.
Them addressing the story surprised me as I don't recall hearing anyone having any notable issues with the story. Some things could be improved, certainly, like a more time to bond with Jackie probably being the main thing. But as someone who loves the game already, story is far down the list of things I wish were improved while they seem to consider it a major weakpoint.
The whole video was them somehow talking non-stop yet saying not much of anything. Essentially: "Yeah this is like, a feature, and it's like, you can use it to do things now, and it makes your character funner to play or something, and I like it. It's like it does things to your character to make them be like cool to play or something, whereas before, it was like, less so, and now it's more so? So that's something... "
Honestly, at the end of the day its still not the game that was promised and thats especially true if you were unfortunate enough to pick up the last gen version.
The issue with the story was that it played like a CoD campaign less than an RPG. The game was always a whiplash of choice in gameplay and then when you get in a cutscene your basically forced to chose between one of two outcomes and at best, a secret third. You were never your own V, you were always the main stories V. Thats at least my take. The gameplay ensure you feel like your own character. The quests ensure you stick to the formula. Especially the higher lever you get. Youre never rewarded for thinking outside of the box. The only moment you see gameplay like this is when you have the option to sneak past boss fights. But thats only incidental. Regardless. Happy to see them improving the flow of what was already solid. Looking forward to what the future holds for this IP.
The game is a flawed masterpiece. It is fruit born from exceptionally talented creatives saying "yes" way, way more than "no". I started playing it for the first time a month ago. At its current rate (pre 2.0 - i think 1.63??) the game is amazing. I have seen probably 10 small glitches and 1 major glitch over 50 hours.
I'm glad to hear things are feeling even more defined but I already felt as though each play style gave a unique experience. "Blades" was easy-mode when you got a few levels to build it up. I'll be interested to see how that has changed.
i bought this game like 2 years ago and never got into it... i started playing it last week and i'm completely hyped on this game i'm so glad i decided to reboot it... very excited for the new update and expansion! :D
I'm ok with moving armour to cyberware. That said it's worth mentioning - when it comes to clothing - CP2077 added transmog already so you can wear whatever you want and have great stats even before 2.0.
Functioning law enforcement (jury out), spontaneous gang dynamics (nope), realistic npc interactivity and crowd behaviour (nope), exploration of verticality (nope), even more completely OP shooter/looter gameplay (check), CYBERPSYCHOSIS as a core theme and factor for the player (nope), cause and effect of actions and speech (nope), dynamic events (nope). Meaningful, balanced progression curve (V becomes ridiculously OP in about two weeks). The story itself was actually pretty good if a little short. Sometimes I think people have forgotten what an RPG actually is. Fortunatly with this final update and only DLC modders can get to work without the fear of their time and effort being demolished with each new update.
Dynamic events is actually a check. also dynamic gang wars and interaction. These are the exact reason why the CPU requirement for patch 2.0 Skyrocketed.
@@TayRich93 Yeah shake your head cause it’s not even out yet. You haven’t experienced the 2.0 update nor the expansion so you really can’t have a meaningful opinion about it yet.
Much needed changes. Skill tree, no more spamming your inhaler and being unkillable, more quick hacking, shooting from vehicles etc. now maybe we can toggle quests on and off to get rid of that “Meet Hanoko at ember” quest on your screen.
Very excited to go back to the game. I never managed to go past halfway because the RPG elements of the game were good but quickly became old. That was mainly because of the bad perk trees which basically meant that you quickly weren't excited to level up anymore (like they mention in this video). It also felt too bad because you could see that the game had plenty of content and opportunities to leverage into great RPG elements, but instead you were just left to look for a stronger weapon while the perks and building your character were completely out of the window after you had bought a few of them. The story is solid, no complaints there. The only other thing I wish this update would've fixed is the driving/handling of the vehicles. I love the idea of a big open world with lots of cool vehicles to drive around, but the handling of the vehicles is all over the place and I end up fast travelling more than I'd like. Anyway, I'll keep my fingers crossed this element of the game could still be fixed later and in the meantime I'll start a fresh save and enjoy this new version of the game which is probably much closer to what the developers wanted to ship to us in the first place.
@@alexinivai08 So I actually have been playing the game since the update came out and I think that they indeed did change some things related to the driving. Mind you, the experience is not as good as driving around in a car in GTA for instance and the Bikes are still bad, but for me the driving went from ''unplayable'' to I actually enjoy driving now. I too haven't felt the need to fast travel that much. Some cars are still not really enjoyable to drive, but in general I'd say the driving is at least 50% or 60% better than it was. My original comment was before they release 2.0 since ''driving'' wasn't mentioned in any of the patch notes or trailers, but its a really great job from CDPR. Cyberpunk 2077 is becoming one of my most favorite games of all time.
I thought it was fine. Hardly a masterpiece. Echoed stuff I'd seen back in the 1980s, so not exactly innovative or trailblazing - just competently presented and bundled up. But a 'masterpiece'? God, no.
It wasn't that great. No choice, no consequences. It has some nice moments, and disregards lots of lore, and brings more lore into question. The story was a 7/10 at best. Not terrible by any means, but not great.
@@markjackson1989 I really enjoyed the ending I got and I had fun with the game but yeah I get it. It’s not necessarily ground breaking but I didn’t think it was a major flaw of the game
I normally dislike stories that are overly grimdark. But I was fine with cyberpunk, though I didn't love it. That shows how well the supporting characters and the story is written. Phantom Liberty should be more of my kind of story, so I'm looking forward to that.
3 years too late. Cyberpunk cannot comeback from the horrendous betrayal CDPR did. I wish they would simply let this series go so a more suitable game studio can work the IP into a game not full of lies and false promises.
I'm happy to hear that it's a deeper RPG, because I was worried that the improvements will mostly only about the sandbox aspects of the game and I'm not that big of a fan of sandbox games anyway and RPG is where CP77's strength lies.
CP77, at launch (on PC), is one of my best (video) gaming experiences. It felt so immersive. The story was a great experience. This typed, as much as I enjoyed my time with CP77, I've not been able to get into a second play through. This is interesting, as I've been able to return to games I didn't enjoy as much. My hope is the update and DLC* change this. I'm looking forward to trying. * I usually don't like "mid-game" (or sprinkled through a game) DLCs. At least, not if I've already played it.
I get you. It's a very involved experience and despite there being choices is still a fairly linear story. So it's not the most replayable while it's still fresh. The Witcher 3 is one of my favourite ever games and I've only played through it three times because it's such an undertaking.
They had the transmog ability in the clothing menu.... yeah you needed clothing for armor, but you could set different outfit looks that you wanted to wear, and youre actually wearing the armor pieces you selected, but you'd see the style of the outfit you wanted to look like, but have the armor stats for the actual armor you wanted. it was just a double click in the menu.
@@ianlindstrom2019 I never said it was there at launch, I said it was there... also, that's their fault and problem for not keeping up with the updates and just swearing off the game at launch. Sooooo yeah, my previous comment stands
the clothing thing was patched ages ago. It doesn't really matter what you're actually wearing, you can just set the visuals to match something you've previously had in your inventory. So you can just look however you want. It's also first person, so I'm not sure it matters much anyway.
Story is the strongest quality cyberpunk has. Only problem is its too short and some of the goods ones like the peralez side quest seems like a cut content.
I personally think night city is extremely impressive. I was surprised to see them want to deviate away from the red engine after putting out this technical marvel. Night city is super dense and really does make you feel small walking around in it. I sometimes find myself RP walking I'm this game to missions or just driving slow abiding the traffic laws, which is something I've never did in any other game. The fact that everything is seemless without loading screens is astonishing.
I’ve been to Chicago, Tokyo, NYC, and a lot of other big cities and personally its remarkable how much Night City FEELS like a real city compared to “cities” in other video games. IMO that’s one thing they got very right.
Armor was connected to the clothes but for a long time now, you could overhaul the looks - so you still have the best armor but in the same time you can look just the way you want. Now, connecting stamina to gunplay can be tricky. Are you saying that I shoot my shotgun twice and have to reload AND wait for stamina to get back? In a sense, the reload and ammo management is the stamina for guns.
Using a knife in this game still appears to not come in any contact with enemies. It just dowsn’t look or feel right. Katana is pretty good still, idk about maces or blunt weapons
You could transmog in the CP 2077 1.0. also. This is nothing new, you just had to set your outfit in one of your houses and that stays, so you can ware anything and look the part.
Proud to say I was one of the few people who enjoyed cyberpunk since release, glad that the game is getting more love now. Not saying the bugs in launch was forgivable, but the game itself was alrdy quite enjoyable since launch.
@@TapTwoCounterspell im not sure if its just me, but when I played on my ps4 pro, i did not encounter alot of the bugs at the time. Im sure many other people are disappointed that so many bugs existed, but personally I somehow avoided any bugs. Of course I did get the usual npc clipping and once in awhile car clipping, but with close to 100 hours in the game it was still quite rare for me. But the core gameplay and story was great. Easy 9/10 without bugs. The only complain I had was the fact that they didnt have a working transit system but thats all. Hence, proud that Cyberpunk has come this far and didn’t die out.
looks good. I mostly enjoyed the game at launch but never finished it as it really unraveled mechanically in the lategame excited to start fresh and jump into the expansion
This review is solid but genuinely, the sidequests and gigs offer so much if you read the lore. Theyre interconnected, you get very special dialogue doing certain orders.
As someone who's played through the original version of this game multiple times, it blows me away how many things are being touted as new features that have always been there.
Everything CDPR has announced is new or reworked. Games media and TH-camrs are pretty bad about getting facts right and I don't blame them. The internet is basically one giant game of telephone these days.
So your stamina goes down when you’re shooting a gun too? Or did not understand right. Also you’ve been able to wear whatever you want and use different clothes as your armor for a while.
Looking forward to replaying the amazing story with even better gameplay. Imo, the game’s story and atmosphere was true and loyal to the gritty nihilism that the Cyberpunk genre is all about. If you were looking for a happily ever after ending you chose the wrong genre
Super excited for this. Looks great although the shooting using stamina part sounds kinda awful. Hope I'm wrong about that and it's actually a good change
I'm not going to pretend this isn't a massive disappointment with all their hints and the speculation around the 2.0 update was dropping. Only to find out that it's another week out. Might as well be on the same day as the expansion at this point.
You could lock outfit appearances in cyberpunk already so you could look how you wanted but wear whatever the best armor is. I don't understand why they said it wasn't like that
I feel like the Stamina should not be called stamina but Posture. Gun recoil of course affects your posture, dashing affects posture, deflecting and blocking affects your posture, when you deplete your posture, you're so outbalanced that it's impossible to dash. You can still shoot but you can't control the weapon swing because you're out of posture. It just makes sense more than calling it Stamina. Story is the single main reason I barreled through the game when I played it on launch in a mid spec PC. I ignored all the bugs and stuff just because I'm so invested on what comes next.
Whats the problem with the story ?? Its a great story with great characters. Its a realky full game. It was great from the beginning im interested in how 2.0 changes things
It was a really good story in my opinion and I’ve beat it 5 times. I would say one of the problems which I think they are referring to are when it comes to certain characters. Like Jackie for example he died way too early in the game. I mean his death was shown in early gameplay trailers. It just felt like they missed a huge opportunity on building a deeper friendship with Jackie. I think they also mean in some side quests/missions they just end too quickly when more story could’ve been added if that makes sense.
@@aarondunnmedia fair points if that's what they are referring too. Just seemed like a dog at the story telling and I couldn't understand why. The side missions I agree aren't very character driven but the main story with takamura and Johny and everything going on had me really hooked
playing starfield after cyberpunk just shows how far we have come in terms of world building, animation and graphical fidelity. Not that graphics are everything but in order to have a sense of imersion they are key in selling the world.
My only nitpick with the story is with some inconsistencies with the dialogue. For example, Wakako and Padre both introduce themselves to non-Street Kid V after the heist as if they never met you before even though Wakako gave you the Sandra Dorset job & and Padre being in the cutscene before that and speaks fondly of you at Jackie's offerenda. And then there is V & Vicktor giving two different deliveries of the "I got a job from Dexter Deshaun" within the same discussion. Other than that, the story was great. Nothing really to fix other than maybe incorporate more of the dynamic gameplay mechanics and not be too scripted (car chases, ambushes, etc.)
Playing Starfield really made me appreciate cyberpunk.

The story is fine as an action game. as an RPG it's pretty lackluster as none of the backgrounds or choices matter or influence the story/city.
Shooting taking stamina could either be a really good change or the thing that kills the flow of combat entirely
you can still shoot while exhausted. you're just less accurate
I always felt like the stamina perks were totally useless, so ar least this will give more of an incentive to increase ur stamina and it’s regeneration
That honestly ruined combat for me hopefully everything else makes me forget about that dogshit decision from CDPR
well to be fair since the last 3 years i´ve seen a lot of people complaining about how the game is too easy even on higher difficulties, so this change might add to that difficulty. Also i think it will be definitely possible to upgrade how much time you can shoot before draining your stamina completely; running won´t consume it anymore as i heard
@@danielnava5917you'll be able to mod it soon I'm sure
People have problems with the story? I loved it!
Obviously these guys could have done it better
problem with story is that outside of combat scenarios story is pretty linear
They did. Near as I can tell from looking at their build planner, crafting is no longer tied to perks.
@@found6393 thank god, i dont even know how that made it into the game in the first place
The story and writing in CP2077 was always great.
Didn't know people had issues with the story, I thought it was phenomenal
i genuinely think the story and world are a bit too nuanced for some; not trying to be that guy, but so many seem to completely miss out on big moments simply because the game doesn't break it down and tell them how big it is
@@geronuis2295I think a lot of people blew through the story without doing the side content. When you have those endings they aren’t nearly as good as it is when you do most of the side content before ending the game.
@@Jacksonmontyart also a very good point. they bring a ton of context
The way they worded it calling them "issues" is weird. It's more that they didn't like it. The devs made the story the way it is because they wanted to. That's not an issue.
Looking at the comments. It looks like only 2 people had problems with the story and we're looking at them in this video. lol
And there is a decent mod that covers it, anyway! @@adam3bujek
thats what the metro mod is for , but now most mods have to be redone for 2.0
I'd be happy if the car chases were more than cut scenes.

I enjoyed the game as it was. All of this is just cherry on top now. Can’t wait
I don't think the devs deserve praise for adding features that were in GTA III in 2001.
Some sort of unending end game would change things a lot. Maybe even make a new rarity just for such activities.

Story was the best part of the game. Bro.
When 2.0 releases, I will finally install Cyberpunk. It has been sitting idle in my backlog for a long time.
I have been loving playing Starfield - but the minute Phantom Liberty drops, it's time to head back to Night City!!! So excited about this.
Honestly, at the end of the day its still not the game that was promised and thats especially true if you were unfortunate enough to pick up the last gen version.
All they needed was Yakuza/Shenmue activities! And martial arts styles.
Looking forward to downloading 2.0 and playing the story from the start. Haven't touched 1.0 since december 2020
The next gen update back in 2/2022 made it easily the best looking (and running) game on the Series X. Performance mode Dynamic 4K/60 fps all the way.

Blades is still OP on previous versions when paired with a good sandevistan

Curious about the car piece. Im still playing 2.0 and not once have I felt the need to fast travel.
This is the right evolution of historical RPG gameplay, Starfields doing this, skilling up should unlock gameplay mechanics.
Literally nobody had issues with the story, it was a masterpiece.
I thought it was fine. Hardly a masterpiece. Echoed stuff I'd seen back in the 1980s, so not exactly innovative or trailblazing - just competently presented and bundled up. But a 'masterpiece'? God, no.
I think I really depends on the ending you get. I loved it, but I have friends that hated it because they did no side quests

People complaint about shooting taking stamina yet forget how incredibly op V becomes even on the hardest difficulty as you level up.
I get you. It's a very involved experience and despite there being choices is still a fairly linear story. So it's not the most replayable while it's still fresh. The Witcher 3 is one of my favourite ever games and I've only played through it three times because it's such an undertaking.
I do wish they did some more with the side quests like going into sketchy apartments to save some cyberchick

I'm not going to pretend this isn't a massive disappointment with all their hints and the speculation around the 2.0 update was dropping. Only to find out that it's another week out. Might as well be on the same day as the expansion at this point.

Same 😅 and I think it was the best decision I ever made
This is why I’m not starting over. I’m just going to respec with all my existing points and just be able to build my build. I’m excited for that.
I can't wait to finally make a Maine build 💪🏾
6:39 erm… there was already a wardrobe system in the game
I sure hope so. I enjoyed the game back in 2021, but it definitely had its issues back then. If it's improved, I'll come back to it again, I think.
playing starfield after cyberpunk just shows how far we have come in terms of world building, animation and graphical fidelity.
Padre's introduction was addressed earlier this year
Stamina and shooting don’t ever go in the same sentence
Blade seems more viable now?
But it always has been
since launch
Not viable early game on V hard. Also very low amount of options as it always defaulted to Katana until they changed monowire
Was my favorite playthrough, some others were technically more effective but the blade playthrough was the most fun.
I got cp77 two months ago and have 138 hours in , it's a great game even before this patch
