Koh Kreat is only 1,5h away which makes a perfect Bangkok day trip. Koh Kret Nonthaburi is accessible by a orange flag boat and it is only 16 baht to the Nonthanburi pier where you have to catch another boat to the island.

It's bringing back a good memories of cycling around Koh Kret. I used to bike around the island with German friendS 10-12 years ago.
Koh Kret is a man-made island since 1722 and is a village of the ethnic "Mon" people. They're famous for making pottery, Thai desserts and the best snack called "Khao Chae" which is a traditional dessert made from rice along with exciting side dishes. Thai people like to eat it during the summer. The other recipe, you can find in Petchburi province. Only 2 places in Thailand to find such good & unique dessert.
I am fascinated by the culture of them. They're strictly adhere their beautiful culture, gentleness and hospitality to the guests who visit their village.

This vlog brings back many happy memories of a visit to Koh Kret 😆. The shuttle ferry for a few baht, renting a bike, buying a little pot which I still have 😂. Happy days 😀. Thanks for the memories Diggy and Danny😉.

Boat Journey was excellent value indeed. Natt smiling as usual. River traffic looked busy. Great way to travel. Smaller boat looked fun and super fast Diggys expression was a picture. The pottery ceramics looked cool. Plenty to do with shops on the river and the bars having a beer. Dan Bangkok, nice guy too. The market and the temple looked interesting to visit. Pagoda looked amazing in the water. The lollipops where cool and handmade superb. Good variety of goods at the market. The sweets were something different you can chill at the market place cafe was really nice to have drink. Bike ride around the island 60thb for a bike for the day good Value. Tree was out of this world. Great super day out to chill from the hustle and bustle of city life. Fantastic vlog enjoyed your adventures 🌟🩷🌟👍

People we call Mon today is the descent of Mon immigrants from Shan state, Myanmar. That's from what I know so far since when I was young. But the real fact is discovered nowadays from national DNA observation that we Thais are actually the descent of many ancient ethnics wherein Mon is the majority. So actually the Mon are our ancestor and they were one of the oldest who established an ancient civilization on the past Thailand.
