    Wow! Fantastic. I came here doing research for a percussion composition I was requested to do by my composition teacher.

    Amazing piece. Did you compose it on paper first, then do the programming, or the other way around? Just curious as to your method of working within constraints of Western notation!

      Thanks! Percussionist recording session, programming/synthesis experiments, paper sketches, and finally entering notes into the score editing software.

    what do you use for score editing?

    Is there a key or something that gives information for what staff line equals what instrument? Or is it up to performer discretion?

    • @elifieldsteel
      @elifieldsteel  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a percussion key in a separate User Guide document that accompanies the score. The User Guide contains other important information as well, e.g. how the instruments should be positioned, how to set up the hardware/software, and some other notation-related comments.

      Eli Fieldsteel is this document available for perusal?

      I've added a link to the user guide on my website: www.elifieldsteel.com/works/electroacoustic/fractus-v-metal-detector

    What kind of equipment do you use together with Laptop for live-electronic?

    • @elifieldsteel
      @elifieldsteel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the Fractus pieces, nothing out of the ordinary. Microphone(s), audio interface, foot pedal, loudspeakers.
