I love how you literally show everything with the process of installing the PPF. The good, and the little mistakes and how you easily fix anything. Subscribed! I’m picking up my CyberBeast today! (July 8, 2024. I worked my ass off for the last 4 years to make this possible. I’m truly blessed how everything worked out.)
What’s typical price difference between the PPF and vinyl with respect to having a shop do the install. Wouldn’t have color warp or whatever that’s called. Love the 3m satin thundercloud color. But that’s just in vinyl to my understanding. Any help or direction would be awesome! Just got my vin today!
Congrats! It will typically be nearly double for color PPF vs a vinyl wrap. Here is a video where Ji explains the price and features of both PPF and vinyl that might help - th-cam.com/video/4o-tD3gdTWw/w-d-xo.html If you're thinking about going the DIY route, we have kits starting at $2k for color PPF: tesbros.com/collections/cybertruck/products/diy-protection-ppf-kit-for-cybertruck
That's a tough one! Personally, I love working with Avery Dennison films because they are beginner-friendly and perfect for our DIY kits. They offer great quality and are forgiving, making them easy to handle. I also enjoy using STEK films and, to be honest, I was quite impressed with IVIOS in this video. It's hard to choose when there are so many good ones out there and the film technology just keeps getting better and better!
Very interesting. I'm wondering what a Cybertruck would look like with matte black at the bottom (up to the hipline) and then gloss black above that. It then would look even better if the windows are tinted. So, the trunk top is gloss and the trunk front is matte black. The Tailgate will be matte black. Just wondering if you would have to do something special where the two colours meet like a mirror tape underneath?
Nice design concept! Where one PPF color ends and the next begins, you will have to seam it there. So it would be right against the other and hardly noticeable if it's on a body line and precision cut to fit
@@tesbros I thought about the cutting. With the install one can overlap the two colours at the hipline and then cut through both to ensure the perfect fit.
That is Ivios Rosy Green PPF. Great color! Since it's not an option currently on the website, send us an email at support@tesbros.com and we'll get that one for you!
During the filming of the shoot, it was slightly short but since then, we edited our patterns. So, yes the color PPF DIY kits that we offer wrap around all edges. Good catch!
@@TeslaDiyMan colored ppf is significantly more expensive but I’d recommend the Avery Dennison Noir if you’re looking for gloss black. It will be much more affordable than the Stek version.
PPF is typically around 8 mils thick. This video will help a lot with PPF features while comparing to vinyl if you want to know more: th-cam.com/video/4o-tD3gdTWw/w-d-xo.html

Like the Miami Blue, but ❤ the Light Stone
Both great options!
Ok if you had to choose only one ppf brand which would you choose and why?
UPPF, they offer clear and color PPF. UPPF is also manufactured in house.
Second UPPF! 40+ color options made with high grade TPU, self-healing, and hydrophobic.

We really like that purple/green ppf but don’t see it on the site. Is it a kit?

Welcome to the channel!
maybe it's my eyes... but it looks like the films don't cover the forward door edges? is it cut short, or does it wrap all edges?
During the filming of the shoot, it was slightly short but since then, we edited our patterns. So, yes the color PPF DIY kits that we offer wrap around all edges. Good catch!
So your patterns don’t require trimming with a razor blade??
None
What ceramic coating do you recommend to use on top of a newly installed STEX ppf. I am a beginner.
Does the alcohol And water tack damage glue ...
No, it allows the adhesive to stick better
@@tesbros ok on some brands it distorts glue I heard....
@@JBIRD575 Not a problem if you have high quality film
wrapping ppf on a scratch the bulletproof truck?
I want to choose STEK , but I dont see any option
The colored ppf is on pre order but launching this coming week! We will have Stek available as well. Is there a specific color you have in mind?
Not yet but mostly gloss black , will it be 1999 too
