BTOB BLUE was formed pre-military.
Military enlistment in order: Eunkwang > Changsub > Minhyuk > Sungjae & Hyunsik (went in at the same time) > Ilhoon
Peniel did not go to the military as he is American
BTOB 4U was formed after Minhyuk was discharged, at this point Eunkwang and Changsub have already been discharged, and these three + Peniel is this subunit
When It Rains is the only one produced by a member - Hyunsik.

Actually Ilhoon enlist week after Sungjae and Hyunsik Go in but maybe he did not finish yet because of his controversy we don't know but he enlist only Peniel did not.

Btob Blue is the vocal line, they did a few songs together before their official 'debut' with Stand by Me in 2016. Pre btob blue unit songs include Will be here from I Mean EP (my all time fav), Endless Melody from Beep Beep EP, and I Don't Know from Move EP

The comments explained it well, but one thing that I'll like to add is that they enlisted at their peak of their carriers. They made the decision and enlisted so that they can comeback as a full group for their 10th year anniversary! At the time, they were one of the biggest groups in South Korea, probably one of 3 most loved group by the general people. The point is, they sacrificed and enlisted earlier than usual and came back for their 10th anniversary (that they celebrated these past 3 days), being the first 3rd gen group to finish the military enlistment. Not many groups can stay this relevant in the industry as these guys and I'm glad that international Melody, like me, are growing in numbers. It's incredible really! Idk if you saw some fancams on Tw but they really love to assure us that they will sing for a very long time and it's so heartwarming!
Hyunsik composed When It Rains. Not sure of who composed Stand By Me, Peniel directed the MV (I think there is a Beatcom episode of the bts of the filming), I Hate You is a cover on a competition show. They were up against Ilhoon XD, btw Ilhoon was really good too!
my eyes got teary reading your comment because it reminds me of those times when they announced that. It's so brave of them to go in the military during the peak of their careers just to be all together during their 10th anniversary which is why it's more sad because at the end they still didn't get to celebrate it with 7 of them :(( You could really see the bond with btob as brothers because supposedly the maknae line (Sungjae and Ilhoon) still have so much time for them to enlist, even the same age idols like Ilhoon who were born in 1994 are starting to enlist this year while those 95 liners like Sungjae still have a year or so but they all decided to enlist earlier only for that reason. They planned the order so well actually, they divided the order into 3 members so the remaining 3 will be with Peniel then once it's their turn, the other members are already discharged so Peniel was never alone. But this is now the reality, all the members seems fine even Ilhoon. I love that he's now back posting on Instagram and he seems happy at least. I just wish all the best for him. Also I love it when the members sometimes mention Ilhoon though not his name literally but by his nicknames lol, so non-fans wouldn't know but melodies for sure know, even Minhyuk sometimes play btob songs that were produced and written by Ilhoon lol, DJ privileged Ig and I love it and it's so obvious he's still in the btob gc I can't😂
@@Portiayuu Yes, it's super sad. But these past 3 days, I feel less sadness. Act 2 means they are 6 now, I will support them as 6, I will also support Ilhoon separately (until the day they become 7 again, my hopes will never waver). I just think they need to separately grow and then they meet again. It's all up to the Korean general acceptance and the countries movement. SK is a fast developed country recently, hopefully their mindset of what law and justice really is, improves too. (I believe laws should be questioned and improved accordingly for the better of the people, not followed conservatively by people, if you want improvement and development of a country. Therefor I lightly blame civil people for not questioning them (I'm judging some of Korean Melodies reactions at that time, even if they changed since then, out of love for Ilhoon and BTOB, BTOB are so loved by the general people, there were a lot of them also writing bad comments at that time). Anyway, I've seen a lot more Korean Melodies missing and making videos of Ilhoon so my hopes are up. Ilhoon's bravery but also trust in us to update on IG, and BTOB's happiness these days is what gives me major hopes for the future!
And yes, the gc is suspicious XD, Changsub's hand raised up when they were singing Be Together at their concert, Hyunsik's hand to his heart when he was singing Someday, "me without you" part, even these days, them still following him on IG, Minhyuk playing his songs and singing along to them on his radio show, he once said on his vlive in 2021 during Kingdom, "this is one of our members part" (if I remember it correctly), when he played one of their songs and Ilhoon's part was playing, and tones of other moments. BUT, sadly, when Peniel liked his post that time on IG, he took the like away after we all were crying on TW about it. I think we are all emotionally reactive, like Changsub lol LOVE HIM, but somehow, because of cube it doesn't go well in the end. Hopefully we can react less and cht cht more, where that company can't see us lol. Maybe that's how we protect them now, I still don't get how to go about this situation, what is good or bad? It's cube's fault for not being transparent and letting them mention him at all, we could've gotten a better clarification of their stance, and we would act accordingly. Also the new fanchants tho... Cube ;( MAYBE this is all why there were no online streaming of their concerts?? Idk. Literately so salty about it still lol. Anyway (for like the 3rd time😂), sorry for making you teary and for the long comment, thank you for your reply and I hope Toni doesn't mind us ranting here. 😂💙
@@eiane2781 I agree with everything you said here and to add more with the things you mentioned from their concert, Changsub randomly said "See you again" while they were singing Someday and I don't know if it was my delusional side but I really think it was for Ilhoon. And knowing it was Changsub who said that makes me think of it even more since he was the member who was so brave about 7tob before some dumb knetz got angry on Changsub for raising number 7 with his fingers on their btob4U con, Istg they act like it's easy to forget a member when they've literally been together for a decade including their trainee years, besides, Ilhoon literally grew up with btob, they're his actual older brothers if you think about it and for them to get angry. There were even some who questioned btob because of that and thought that might've done it themselves as well💀 and yep the gc is super suspicious lol, I remember back then, Minhyuk used to tweet screenshots of their funny conversations on their gc and you can always see the name of the gc with the number of the members who are in that gc but ever since Ilhoon left he tweeted a new screenshot but this time the name of the gc was cropped (hmm I wonder why👀) even when Sungjae showed his message in 'The Manager' they blurred out the name of the gc when it's literally just called btob lol. But yeah I'm also sad that the his name on the fanchants has been officially taken out because that's what they used on their latest concerts but tbh I really do feel that some koreans are accepting Ilhoon. In his recent ig posts, I see a lot of Korean comments that are missing him and wishing the best for him. There was also a recent event that they performed at and some melodies did the fanchant with Ilhoon's name in it (they were brave) Ig they really just couldn't do it in their concert because it's an official gathering with cube but it's really confusing we don't how to act when the members themselves shows how much they miss Ilhoon even if it was subtle but with us fans it feels like it would be a sin just to mention him on fanchant even though it isn't. Tbh Ilhoon is one of those idols that I actually think has a greater chance to go back in btob. I know it never happened to an idol before but considering how the members hints some stuffs about him, for a group who got hated for sticking with the 7tob back then, btob are still pretty open about it, It was subtle at the same time it was very obvious😂 Also one of the producers who works with btob and cube artists commented on Ilhoon's recent post and said he misses him. So I don't know that's just what I think, but even if they ended up not being together that's still fine. I will support the 6 of them and Ilhoon as a solo artists. It seems like Ilhoon will be releasing something soon, there were some hints showing up or maybe it's not him singing the song but he just produced it but nonetheless, I know it'll be good knowing Ilhoon. I'm sorry Toni for the long rant lol, we just miss Ilhoon🥲

TOP is still part of Bigbang it seems, they came back with a song (don't know if he faced backlash tho) but I think although Ilhoon's situation is different, the two groups are both loved by the general people, I think he has a chance to come back. And like you said, he is a genuine good guy, that is well loved by everyone he's met. Until he'll join BTOB again, I'm sure he'll produces songs and hopefully he releases solo albums too. It might take a while for him to be with BTOB, but I will keep hoping. Thank you for the rants! 💙
@@eiane2781 yes I was thinking of TOP's situation as to why I think Ilhoon could go back, though TOP never left bigbang but he still got so much backlash from the netizens, it was really bad but in the end it all worked out and now a lot of people still supports him. And yes, Ilhoon is a good guy, he had problems and tried to cope up with it but he did it wrong but he never got anyone involved and never caused problems for other people so it's sad that he's getting so much hate when he's already suffering so much. I know he was wrong but I think there were other idols who did so much worse but received less backlash. And Ilhoon never denied it and sincerely apologized over and over yet netizens were so close-minded they treat him as if he killed someone. But anw that was from the past and everything seems to be getting better now, I just hope it stays this way and eventually becomes better. Thank you also for the nice replies.
Love these emotional songs.. WHEN IT RAINS was written by Hyunsik & arranged by Kang Hwa Sung. STAND BY ME was the debut song of BTOB BLUE which was formed on Sept. 19, 2016..before enlistment. The music video was directed by Peniel. The members really wanted to enlist at the same but they didn't want to leave Peniel alone so in 2018, Eunkwang was the 1st to enlist. After a few months Minhyuk followed then Changsub. So Peniel was left with Hyunsik, Ilhoon & Sungjae and they had some shows where they were known as BTOB SQUAD. When Eunkang was discharged, Hyunsik & Sungjae entered the military at the same time then after a while Ilhoon followed and was the last one to enlist while Changsub & Minhyuk were dischaged. So Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Changsub & Peniel were the ones left and were known as BTOB 4U and released INSIDE Album in 2020. Then they joined Kingdom in early 2021..then afterwards released OUTSIDE Album..then came Nov, 2021 when Hyunsik & Sungjae were finally discharged..so they had their comeback as a full group w/ Be Together Album in Feb, 2022. They planned everything well so that all of them would have completed military duty before their 10th anniversary concert in March. But Ilhoon was not in the group anymore and some members had covid that time so the concert was postponed. And so it happened finally just 3 days ago. =) Anyway, I HATE YOU is just a cover, I think..and they performed it on this show, Starzoom And yes, that was Ilhoon and he's also a part of a group there that made a performance.

Not that Peniel doesn’t have other friends or anything but it’s gotta be hard to be in your own while your members are in military and you can’t even rely on family because they’re so far away 😩

@@ToniReacts Yes, during the recent interview, when Peniel was asked when was he truly happy in their 10 years..he answered, it was when the members were all discharged. And on the last day of their recent concert, Peniel's mom was watching somewhere in the audience & Peniel greeted her and said that she shouldn't worry too much about him..said so many people and Melodies love and support him and BTOB members are like his family so he's going to be ok & that's why he's staying in Korea. Told his mom to relay the message to his dad too. =) Yes, so many unfortunate things happened last year, losing Ilhoon..then having covid..Minhyuk was the 1st one who had it..then Eunkwang. When they were supposed to start the taping for Running Man, Hyunsik got it then Peniel, Changsub and Sungjae. So the show didn't push thru..the concert was postponed..when they had the Kcon Chicago, Sungjae wasn't able to go with them coz of the filming of his kdrama..and he missed lots of shows and guestings w/ the group. When finally he was free, Peniel had his foot injury and had to be operated on so during their next shows and events..Peniel was the one missing. =) Like all the misfortune happened last year. But this Dec..everything went well. Minhyuk won KBS DJ of the year, Sungjae won MBC Best Actor & Eunkwang won in Immortal Songs King of Kings edition and the much awaited 10th year anniv concert finally happened. Wish that this year they'll have all the good things in store for them..
@@glenn6791 I’m sincerely hoping for a better 2023 for BTOB and honestly just everyone! Every single person I talk to say 2022 was just so meh and honestly it was for me too 😩 I hope we all are able to thrive this new year!!

@@ToniReacts from what I know they all planned to enlist together since it will be faster for them to finish their military service but they don't want to leave Peniel alone so hyung line and maknae line enlisted together 😊
Stand by Me is my favorite BTOB Blue song and I just love the I HATE YOU cover. It's so good. That's when I realized how good the vocal line is, I wasn't a fan yet when they did that cover. 😍
I was just reading an article where K-pop fans where asked about which group they thought had the most amazing vocals and a lot of people answered with BTOB 😂 our vocal kings!!
