Bride of Pinbot 2.0 Backup And Restore

This is an instruction video on how to Backup and Restore your Bride of Pinbot 2.0's SSD drive. Everything shown was done once and essentially live so this method works. It uses free software called "Clonezilla Live" to do the backup and restore. Get it at: clonezilla.org/... and follow the instructions to make a boot USB thumb drive (using TuxBoot). You'll also need an external Hard Drive. I used a Western Digital "My Passport" drive. If you only need to backup your drive, just watch the first part. You might want to watch it all to see that the backup actually works. You can also jump around the video in case it's too boring. I won't be offended (much). Comment if you want, but be nice.

Thanks for putting this easy to follow video together. I'm keen to get my BoP 2.0 drive backed up just in case. Would backing up to a USB drive work just as well? Looking at hard drives at the moment and most are around 500GB to 1TB in size - which seems overkill for the small HDD size in BoP 2.0. I'm thinking a 64GB USB stick would be less wasteful and cheaper - will clonezilla work fine with that?

I think that would work. The good thing about a bigger drive is that you can use it for other backups like pictures or financial data as well. I once lost a drive with pictures I had taken of our child when they were young and it was the only copy. I was able to retrieve the pictures but it took a 3-day weekend to do it. It never hurts to have a backup of valuable data.
