I was once on fire for the Lord Jesus Christ but I grew lukewarm for many years. Listening to the Rambos has reignited the flame. I will cling to Jesus Christ now and forever.
Oh my Lord! I have listened to this song over and over... for hours at a time... for years... and I always cry uncontrollably... I had a heart attack and then a triple bypass in February this year... and each day that passes I feel closer to home... home... a place I don't deserve... provided by a savior I don't deserve... He saw something in me that I thought had died... because of my failures to him... But praise God... Christianity is the only religion in the World that doesn't require you to be perfect before you come to him... Just call out his name... and trust in him... and you will have that home... Amen
I hope you are well these days. I was listening to this because, as a musician, these people are a riot; it's funny to me. What I want to ask you is this; why would you want a "father" who constantly tells you and makes you thing you are worthless, undeserving. Yahweh and the characters in The Bible (Bronze Age Hebrew Literature) are horrible, horrible creatures. If you will read that disgusting book ( Old and New Testaments) you will see I am right. I want you to feel good and not believe in ghosts we now know, we know, are only ancient characters.

what a walk back in time - as a teenager, I was blessed to have friends that loved the Lord [and me] and would take me with them on some of their 'gospel' trips. over the years we saw/met the Rambos, Goodmans, Stamps, Slaughter, Blackwood Brothers, Gaithers, Catherdrals, Hoppers, Imperials, Speers, Couries, Kingsmen, and so many more. as time slips through our fingers, these great ministers of music, have been all but forgotten by most. their Holy Spirit message still carries the blessed anointing of the Power of our Living Lord! thank you for this post - it refreshed the sweet memories of the move of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those that have gone on to be with the Lord, but their message live on. to God be all of the glory!
phillip buttram I have many records of some of the groups that are such a blessing to me! Have you heard the Blackwood Brothers singing Showers of Blessings? I wish someone Would put this song on u tube! God bless you brother!
That harmony is incredibly simplistic. Dottie, herself, does have a wonderful instrument in her throat. But, musically, this stuff is junk. I'm glad, however, that it makes you feel good in believing in something that does not exist.
@@ABCDuwachui Uh, no. As I said, there is a fine instrument in her throat. But, the singing is pathetic, disgusting, junk. But, hey, if it made her rich good for her. The music, itself, is pus. How can you stand the corny, schmalz of it? It is comical. The 'harmony' is beyond simple. That is fine for some people. But, if you want to enrich your ears and brain and heart listen to Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings or Mahler's Adagietto from , I think, Symphony #5. You will see how disgusting this other junk is.
The Ramos were members of our church in Atlanta (Chapel Hill Harvester Church). They were on the road quite a bit, but it was a real delight whenever they we're home andblessed us with their wonderful music.
If that doesn't raise the hair on your arms, you haven't met the Spirit of the Lord. Listen to more from the Rambo's and you'll find your way home. Be Blessed.
I think Reba made that group. She ran from singing with her parents for awhile and didn't know God has called her to be a part of the group. They looked for someone to sing with the parents after various ones joined the group. They needed someone at one time and convinced her to sing. It was meant to be all along. I don't they ever shown in the same way after she joined the group. My favorite song they do is, Ten Thousand Years. Look it up. You may love it as I do. Bless you all.
This is a positive comment. Dottie had such beautiful hair. I saw her in person back in 72 at a christian booksellers conference and it was long and hanging in curls. She was richly beautiful and a very elegant lady. Her smile was awsome then and her step light.
HONESTLY, never heard this song before but God allowed me to find these people.i have YET to find a version of this song that truly speaks to my soul honestly!!
When I first heard this beautiful song, Guy & Ralna from the Lawrence Welk show, sang it on their The Lord's Prayer project. That is when I fell in love with the whole album. I still think Guy & Ralna 's version of this song is the best.
I remember when this song came out by the Rambo's. Audiences loved the song. The lyrics are descriptive about Jesus who was born of a virgin. Such a nice, worshipful song!
Yes, the Angel told Mary to call Him Jesus, which she so obediently did. We do as well, as well as so many other names He is called in the Bible. The reason I love this song is that the Bible says we can only serve one Master, the only one who has the Power to forgive our sins; so by also calling Him Lord, it signifies WHICH Master we have chosen to live our lives for. He is Lord of our lives. He encourages us, and corrects us(if we just listen when he speaks to us.) He lets us know quickly when we have sinned. He forgives, when we are sincere.
Hi there, I'm trying to find out who owns this video so that I can license it for a documentary project. Can you tell me where you found it? Thanks so very much!
The gospel music industry is very much like that of the world, they want top 40 hits, they want makeup, and gawdy jewelry, they want sleek figures that look like a million bucks to grace the covers, why do they want to use the same strategies as the world? because they are trying to make money from the sale of records, tapes, cd's, and such, and slick ads and airbrushed pictures create a desire for that product. That is why you can use the time machine that is youtube and go back to those early videos and see a standard, that would change with time until the person selling the music looks just like their worldly counterparts in country or rock music. these older videos harken back to a time when there was such a thing as standards but then some preacher came along singing a new tune in 1 Cor 11 Paul has just laid out the issue of headship and hair, then some preacher came along and began emphasizing verse 16 1Co 11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. completely undermining and undoing all 15 preceding verses as if they no longer mattered, as if they were no more than just some old fluff or filler God stuck in there for no good reason at all. and with that preacher others soon caught on and the standards that had been held fell like the walls of Jerico, and within a short time that standards were gone. the reality of this is that those who held those standards and then abandoned them overnight, told on themselves that the standard they held was of convenience and not heart felt conviction, as if those standards had been heart felt convictions they would not have been so easily abandoned. It is a job to keep up long hair, and for some that long hair can give headaches, so there were reasons why they did not like their long hair, but to hold a standard and then to abandon it like it was yesterdays old garbage really shows where the heart was. I am doing this because I feel like it is required, but when that preacher came along and said 1Co 11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. claiming that old standard was unnessecery how many jumped ship for the new found freedom? man that old standard was a drag, uh are you kidding me, do you know how long it takes to take care of this long hair? I am reminded of some Israelites that were sick and tired of this Num 21:4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. Num 21:5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. Num 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

I've never seen a group put so much heart and soul into a song!!
My fav Rambo song. "He Looked Beyond My Fault And Saw My Need" was my next favorite.

one of the greatest Trios of all time with Spirit, harmony and blend of voices.
I love this so much
There will never be another Dottie Rambo. No one with her spirit and sensitivity. One of the most anointed singers I have ever heard.

Does anyone know why they used sign language ? I mean it's awesome ! I just noticed they did for many of their shows.
My guess would be it was for the benefit of the hearing impaired
..................... 🤔. Lol
I heard somewhere that their mother was deaf and the sign language was in her honor.
Sorry for the double post. It was not intentional.
