I enjoyed your message!! I know for myself, God will use anybody. When I got saved initially, I faithfully listened to TD Jakes, Joyce Meyers, Paula White, etc. They served the purpose that God had for me, and not the purpose they had for me. As God progressed me to His Meat and Wisdom, He further opened my eyes to see better and do better. So I say, God works ALL things together for His Good and Perfect Will. They served their purpose in my life. They were my stepping stone to the Lord but because of the lack of knowledge, people sometimes choose to follow the man and not Our Lord and Savior. AMEN
I agree with you. As a new babe in Christ I was thirsty for the Word and listened to tv evangelists everyday; But I also studied the true Word of God everyday and had a Pastor that taught from the True Word. My revelation knowledge Truly came from the Lord as I studied to show myself approved unto God RIGHTLY dividing the Word of Truth. I rarely look at tv evangelists unless they are preaching Sound doctrine. I thank the Lord for keeping me and His Holy Spirit for teaching me.
Amen. I hold a similar testimony. I mainly followed Joyce Meyers because I was young in faith and in the early 2000s she taught a lot about walking in faith and growing in holiness back in the day. This was when her ministry was called "Life in the Word" before transforming into "Enjoying Everyday Life". I used to believe that she progressively switched to her current full on WoF ideology but now suspect God mercifully shielded me from her more damaging heretical teachings until I became more knowledgeable of His Word and discerning through personal study.

@@savedwretch I’ve heard different teaching pertaining to that subject. My Spirit given understanding is that unless God keeps us, even the very elect would fall away. His Word says that we were chosen from the foundation of the world. He declared our ending from knowing our beginning so therefore, His gifts and callings are without repentance. So I stand in believing what God says about His Chosen. He will keep us. But we in and of our fleshly selves would fall away.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge... this is a true saying but scriptural deviations uncovered, while helpful and beneficial for growth, is not the knowledge we need to know to keep from perishing for the lack of...that knowledge is knowledge of God's Righteousness and the knowledge of God's love. This knowledge is found when you repent from a sin to the acknowledging of truth...this truth is given witness to in New Testament scripture...in that truth is revealed a loving alternative choice to choose to walk in instead of the sin. Choose love and submit to walking in it, Abide in your walk in love that does no harm, and in time you will be transformed and become One. This love is now placed in your heart and begins filling your measure of faith with its equal measure of the Father's love until it is full and sufficient to your belief in Jesus. Your growth in the Way in/of Jesus is dependent entirely apon your efforts at repenting from your sins and eventually be able to apply what you have learned to the sin you do but don't want to do but do. What a wretched man you are who will rescue you from this body of death? Thanks be to The Father through Jesus Christ our Lord. Yes choosing love in the little sins can be chosen again when the big sin needs an answer of love. 'Submit then to God, resist the devil and he will flee.' The same as submit to the love found in the truth found in your progressive movement to find truth in repentance. Abide is better than resisting and becoming One is better than the devil fleeing. God be with you in the love that truth reveals thus establishing the kingdom of heaven within and establishing a reason for your belief in Jesus. And teaches you the one true doctrine summed up, 'repent and believe '.

Looks like she's just going through the motions.. don't see or hear true convictions or passion for ministry ! Yes 1000% true. We are way too effectuated with titles instead of actually letting God lead and speak through his chosen few and being obedient to his Word. I’ve seen how people run from the position as well because they feel pressured to lead because somebody “prophesied” over them at 3,4,5 that they would preach and then immediately start adding pressure and forcing them into the pulpit before that person even has a chance to go before God ask him what it is he actually wants them to do

Im still healing from this type of foolishness. She started with her pumping and priming the crowd and it triggered me and took me back to when I followed women preachers. I watched the 'passing of the baton', it was unsettling. Very worrying, the crowd ate it up. The holy spirit told me in 2011 Jakes was not a man of God. I see it. I hear it. Lord please wake up the church from their slumber.

If you ever feel your emotions are being manipulated- even slightly - it's a huge red flag. Jesus through His Spirit doesn't operate like that. He annoints and confirms THE WORD OF GOD. This was a good one, had to chuckle a few times which is just what I needed. Thank you for this video and the sound doctrine. I agree TD Jakes has a way of speaking that seems to appeal to women. I learned of him when I heard his Woman, thou art loosed sermon and while it did start some healing in me that I needed at that time I have since grown and studied that I can no longer supported his ministry or teachings. If we draw near to the Lord He will draw near to us and we will know Him through His word.
yes! I had the same experience. went through a really tough time and TD Jakes sermons REALLY helped me through. As I got deeper into the word personally, I had to leave TD behind
Part of my true conversion in my 30s was the Holy Spirit helping me recognized myself as being a false convert until that point. True regeneration inspired in me with such a new hunger for His truth that I poured over His Word night and day. My family thought I was nuts! Initially, I also voraciously read, listened to and watched Joyce Meyers and other high profile false teachers on TBN. This was before social media took off so they were all I knew as "Christian Ministers". But it was only a matter of time before I noticed how the teachings of the most popular ministers like Meyers, White, Copeland, Dollar, and Jakes, who initially seemed sound to me, did not align with what I was reading in Scripture. While God can and does use anyone, I don't believe that He would ever affirm the ministry of any false teacher by saving, healing or maturing people through them. I believe He simply protects us from going astray until He faithfully draws us out of them. Looking back, I realize that Joyce Meyers (my favorite) taught me NOTHING . . . even in the holiness teachings I consumed from her. I only grew in understanding through my private study and once I could recognize and then started gravitating toward teachers with sound doctrine who properly exegeted the scriptures. That's why I believe that it isn't really these false teachers that deceive us but more that our own hearts betray us. It is the authentic desire to know God as he reveals Himself, and to learn and obey God's will, whether it pleases us or not, that God honors. This love for truth at any cost allows the Holy Spirit to quickly illuminate us against error. This protective nature of the Holy Scriptures is what I absolutely love about them. It is always truth that sets us free. ❤

As a woman myself this Scripture regarding gullible women stood out to me. In 2 Timothy 3:6-7 it says...."(6) They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, (7) always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth." In Paul's pastoral epistles, his qualifications for both Bishops and Deacons are in reference to men. He never gives the perception that it's a woman. It's a biblical order. There is nothing wrong with women teaching women. But pastoring or leading a church of both men and woman is out of order.
The part that irritated me the most was when TD quoted John the Baptist statement about the Lord Jesus Christ “ He must increase and I must decrease” and said it to Sarah I was done and shut it down so I didn’t watch the rest of that saga!

Spirit-led, insightful presentation. Many Christians have become blinded by the spotlight and gleam of many of these megachurches and celebrity pastors, but it is important, existential actually, to view all these through the lucid light and wisdom of scripture. Nothing can replace sound doctrine and the truth of scripture and retain the Holy Spirit's seal. It just can't. Yet we see replete examples of 'ministries' doing dramatic displays, that are squarely rooted in heresy, running the whole gamut from ignorance, resulting in false teachings, to rituals founded in open witchcraft. Let us so value our souls health that we chase after only truth shared in scripture by pastors who see themselves as humble, servants in Christ's service and not icons to be revered, worshipped and adored while leading others to damnation.
The Bible teaches woman are not to be pastors. You T.D will be held accountable for your indignation. Your laughter and happiness will cause you to cry without ceasing. Everything you touch will fail.

I always find it interesting how often and how so many people say they know someone else is definitely going to hell as if they are absolutely certain they know what God's judgment would be. As if their wisdom is on par with that of God.

Hey Corey, over here in England there aren't as many prominent heretics, but there are plenty who ape the ministries they follow. In the same way that American television proliferates our airwaves here, even so American televangelism saturates Christian programming via satellite tv. It is a sad state of affairs. I just love how you get to the bottom of these foolish games these people are playing, I was one who earlier in my years almost get caught up in their foolishness, but caught on when I realized what was been said just did not line up to the word of GOD, I have a place of worship I attend now, but sometimes I do listen to some really good teacher who make sense without all the bells and whistle and who give their own opinion of the word of GOD, Les Fildick and a few others I listen to,to get some more understanding of GODS word.

Goes back to the curse, when God told Eve that basically she will want to rule over her husband. God gives wisdom and understanding to those that seek Him. As a woman who sought the Lord before my husband, I know the temptation of using what God has taught me to "lord" over him and thinking that I could do things better. It is pride! It appears as though women "pastors" have an issue with pride and submission. God's way and design is perfect, if we would only obey and trust Him.
Why do some churches have music playing throughout the whole service; the devotional, the prayer, praise team, reading of the word, offering, the sermon, announcements, benediction; the music never stops, in fact it escalates to a louder pitch at times. Why?

@@savedwretch I’ve heard different teaching pertaining to that subject. My Spirit given understanding is that unless God keeps us, even the very elect would fall away. His Word says that we were chosen from the foundation of the world. He declared our ending from knowing our beginning so therefore, His gifts and callings are without repentance. So I stand in believing what God says about His Chosen. He will keep us. But we in and of our fleshly selves would fall away.

This knowledge is found when you repent from a sin to the acknowledging of truth...this truth is given witness to in New Testament scripture...in that truth is revealed a loving alternative choice to choose to walk in instead of the sin. Choose love and submit to walking in it, Abide in your walk in love that does no harm, and in time you will be transformed and become One. This love is now placed in your heart and begins filling your measure of faith with its equal measure of the Father's love until it is full and sufficient to your belief in Jesus. Your growth in the Way in/of Jesus is dependent entirely apon your efforts at repenting from your sins and eventually be able to apply what you have learned to the sin you do but don't want to do but do. What a wretched man you are who will rescue you from this body of death? Thanks be to The Father through Jesus Christ our Lord. Yes choosing love in the little sins can be chosen again when the big sin needs an answer of love. 'Submit then to God, resist the devil and he will flee.' The same as submit to the love found in the truth found in your progressive movement to find truth in repentance. Abide is better than resisting and becoming One is better than the devil fleeing. Yes 1000% true. We are way too effectuated with titles instead of actually letting God lead and speak through his chosen few and being obedient to his Word. Im still healing from this type of foolishness. She started with her pumping and priming the crowd and it triggered me and took me back to when I followed women preachers. Part of my true conversion in my 30s was the Holy Spirit helping me recognized myself as being a false convert until that point. True regeneration inspired in me with such a new hunger for His truth that I poured over His Word night and day. My family thought I was nuts! Initially, I also voraciously read, listened to and watched Joyce Meyers and other high profile false teachers on TBN. This was before social media took off so they were all I knew as "Christian Ministers". But it was only a matter of time before I noticed how the teachings of the most popular ministers like Meyers, White, Copeland, Dollar, and Jakes, who initially seemed sound to me, did not align with what I was reading in Scripture.
While God can and does use anyone, I don't believe that He would ever affirm the ministry of any false teacher by saving, healing or maturing people through them. I believe He simply protects us from going astray until He faithfully draws us out of them. Looking back, I realize that Joyce Meyers (my favorite) taught me NOTHING . . . even in the holiness teachings I consumed from her. I only grew in understanding through my private study and once I could recognize and then started gravitating toward teachers with sound doctrine who properly exegeted the scriptures.
That's why I believe that it isn't really these false teachers that deceive us but more that our own hearts betray us. It is the authentic desire to know God as he reveals Himself, and to learn and obey God's will, whether it pleases us or not, that God honors. This love for truth at any cost allows the Holy Spirit to quickly illuminate us against error. This protective nature of the Holy Scriptures is what I absolutely love about them.

In Paul's pastoral epistles, his qualifications for both Bishops and Deacons are in reference to men. He never gives the perception that it's a woman. It's a biblical order. There is nothing wrong with women teaching women. But pastoring or leading a church of both men and woman is out of order.

Many Christians have become blinded by the spotlight and gleam of many of these megachurches and celebrity pastors, but it is important, existential actually, to view all these through the lucid light and wisdom of scripture. Nothing can replace sound doctrine and the truth of scripture and retain the Holy Spirit's seal. It just can't. Yet we see replete examples of 'ministries' doing dramatic displays, that are squarely rooted in heresy, running the whole gamut from ignorance, resulting in false teachings, to rituals founded in open witchcraft. Let us so value our souls health that we chase after only truth shared in scripture by pastors who see themselves as humble, servants in Christ's service and not icons to be revered, worshipped and adored while leading others to damnation.

I just love how you get to the bottom of these foolish games these people are playing, I was one who earlier in my years almost get caught up in their foolishness, but caught on when I realized what was been said just did not line up to the word of GOD, I have a place of worship I attend now, but sometimes I do listen to some really good teacher who make sense without all the bells and whistle and who give their own opinion of the word of GOD, Les Fildick and a few others I listen to,to get some more understanding of GODS word.

Goes back to the curse, when God told Eve that basically she will want to rule over her husband. God gives wisdom and understanding to those that seek Him. As a woman who sought the Lord before my husband, I know the temptation of using what God has taught me to "lord" over him and thinking that I could do things better. It is pride! It appears as though women "pastors" have an issue with pride and submission. God's way and design is perfect, if we would only obey and trust Him.

Why do some churches have music playing throughout the whole service; the devotional, the prayer, praise team, reading of the word, offering, the sermon, announcements, benediction; the music never stops, in fact it escalates to a louder pitch at times. Why?

There was an interview he did with Larry Reid a few years ago where he admitted that he and his ex wife were prophelying to people so that they could bring in upward of $10,000 per month.

Thank you for this! It's true.....yet sad to see the thousands of black people caught up in that. I used to be one of them.😔 But for some reason I never got down with TD Jake's or Woman Thou Art Loosed. I didn't understand a man ministering to me as a woman. I did follow Juanita Bynum until her marriage fiasco. Watched Benny Hinn until I started thinking why weren't more real stories being seen...plus I started to feel funny that people only waited for him to get healed. Paula White I would listen every now and then for a hype message until I grew hungry for meat. Now Joyce Meyers.....the jury is still truly deliberating, lol! I don't listen to her much, but I wouldn't be opposed. The rest of them....no. And that includes the "new wolves" as you said....lololol! Mike Todd, Steven Furtick, Rich Wilkerson.....a strong NO. Now I follow no man but Christ. And if it's a mega church....it's a clear sign to me I don't need to be there. This commentary was spot on and hilarious!
