This is common knowledge. When you say tips and hints you have to be little specific. When you say tax class change you mean to change the husband tax class ??? I came recently another article where the tax class 3 and 5 is going to be abolished .
Some informations can be made specific, and some cannot . Coming to your question, This is not necessary that husband needs to change the tax class, it depends on who is going to take Elternzeit, there are few cases where the father take elternzeit for longer period than the mother, hope I answered. Tax class 3/5 abolishment is not official, this was just a draft. That’s y we recommended to talk with a tax consultant.

2. If I am correct backdated is possible for up to 3 months and not 6 months but recheck this part
If we plan delivery in India then also we will get the elterngeld ? If applying online will be enough?
You will be eligible provided you submit the apostiled birth certificate of the kid, but I am not sure if the kid must be registered in Germany 🇩🇪

In the past Yes, but according to new law, it allows to take Elternzeit parallely only for 1 month together
