This was one of the few videos that addressed violence towards women which in SK even to this day is taboo. I freaking love 2ne1 for making this especially when the rock sound was just coming back to SK popularity with bands like CN Blue and Mate. If you haven’t already you should also watch Abracadabra by Brown Eyed Girls. They are another amazing group who addressed some womens rights issues back then.

The one who died was the girl, she was in the black car, and the girls are ghosts or angels. This song and Ugly are 2 of my favorite songs from them, rock vibes and has social commentary at the time South Korea wasn't prepared for, til now. Please react to more 2ne1, preferably the live ones

This why 2NE1 is revolution back then, their songs was so powerful from lyrics to sick beats! Thats why international fans love them so much and they even penetrated the America back in 2010 competing with Taylor, Rihanna, Justine, Katy, 1D and etc. They never stops proving that they are the Queens of KPOP since debut!
Edit: Other groups are scared to cover their songs because only 2NE1 can cover their songs making it reggae or rock. 2NE1 is really damn Queens no other artists can give their songs a justice except for them❣️. QUEENS OF KPOP
This is such a timeless song and unfortunately a timeless topic to sing about as well. Domestic and womenabuse is at its all time high in the world and even around 2010 it was big numbers of women dying from domestic abuse. I'm grateful to 2NE1 for focusing on such a big issue in the society. They really brought up societal and individual issue in their music a lot. 2NE1 are just incredibly charismatic and have such a broad discography that resonates with everyone but they are also so relatable and did their best to incooporate issues and tradition into their music that people all around the world could relate to. Such a timeless music group and such an example of a legendary status.
And yes in the end she dies, which is shocking but tbh it is very realistic as well, these kind of things don't have happy endings all the time.

2ne1 being way too ahead of their time... before even being "woke" was a thing! This is also my favorite 2ne1 song! Been a while Ed but hey, I'm here!
As a backstory, the guy starting beating her after she told him "so you're still wearing the clothes I gave you" (which is why the guy threw the jacket at her at the end of the confrontation), and on the end racetrack scene, she exacted her revenge on him by basically getting him in an "accident" with the intention of "un-aliving" herself in the process (the "S" word people commit when they don't want to live anymore). The three other girls were never there "physically" with her as they were her "guardian angels", hence, why she never had any straightforward interaction with them until she un-alived herself at the closing scene where all four of them were seen walking together.

I found KPOP in Feb 2023. The first one I liked was Blackpink. Then I discovered 2NE1 and I became a blackjack. They are real (no lip sync), communicate emotions, confront controversial subjects, and keep their individualism while merging into a cohesive group. The group is greater than the sum of its parts.
Reactors should definitely know that ENG SUBTITLES have only started in recent years like 2015 and onwards -- old kpop videos DO NOT HAVE SUBTITLES.
