Christmas markets (Weihnachtsmarkts in German) are street markets associated with the celebration of Christmas during the four weeks of Advent. Though Germany is the origin of these markets, but now they are held in many other countries.
Bonn Weihnachtsmarkt 2021:

Opening hours:
Sundays to Thursdays 11 am to 9 pm (food and drink until 9.30 pm)
Fridays and Saturdays 11 am to 9 pm (food and drink until 10.30 pm)
Corona regulations:
Participants of the Bonn Weihnachtsmarkt are subjected to 2G rule.
Exceptions to the 2G rule
• Children up to the age of 12
• Adolescents from 12 to 18 years of age with a test no older than 24 hours
• passers-by who merely cross the Christmas market area
There are approximately 165 stalls decoring the Weihnachtsmarkt with their exquisite handicrafts, Christmas products and culinary offerings.
Paper stars, handmade jewelry, wooden toys, Christmas mugs, Lebkuchen (Gingerbread) cookies and hearts, paper stars, handmade candles, hand painted candle holders, Lichthäuser (painted porcelain Christmas village houses and figurines) are just a few to name from the sea of handicraft and Christmas products offered in this market.
The food section is equally varied and interesting. Glühwein (mulled wine), Reibekuchen (potato pancakes), Currywurst, smoked Salmon, Bachfisch, hot Waffles with a range of topping choices, Crepes are again just a few to name.
While the beautiful paper stars, handmade candles and hand painted candle holders soothes your eyes and lure you into a shopping spree, the aroma of Glühwein, smoked salmon, Bachfisch, waffle make your tummy rumble.
