- Hi there, Doug Stuman with IT Creations. Do you remember just a few short years ago everybody was wanting a workstation with AMD processors? Well, your wishes have been fulfilled by a number of vendors at this point, but remember Lenovo was the first with the Lenovo ThinkStation P620 in 2020. I did cover that one shortly after it came out and you can see it here, (pointing). Today I have the Lenovo ThinkStation P8 workstation. Yes! Finally! The next gen version. This system is equipped with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000 WX series CPU. Subscribe to this channel if you want to see more reviews of new and relatively new servers and workstations.
The ThinkStation P8 also features the Aston Martin design aesthetic for the front grill with red accent touch points, which I do like. Lenovo also sent this really cool monitor along with the workstation. The Lenovo ThinkVision 27 3D. It shows… Watch the video!

As a Long Term Mac User I now have a ThinkStation great solid High Quality Machines - excellent Machines - Great Design - any model. Swap out parts no tools - FANTASTIC
I just built my own epyc workstation with a romed8-2t and 7443P. Not paying the ridiculous prices of threadripper
Cost is always a factor…unfortunately. That's why I'm still using my Lenovo P700 workstation but I too can dream. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You make good videos but still did not get god no of views@@Itcreations-LA
Don't get me wrong! I do still like my P700!
Good video ❤❤❤

Much obliged! Thanks for watching and commenting!
P8 only handles (1) 40** GeForce RTX card!! Not limited by space or power. I bought one, returning it now. You can see this in the fine print of the power spec document.
Have you tested Boinc and Folding@home on your machine ?.
No, we have not. Had to look those up. That said, I don't see why you couldn't subjugate some of the processing power to share…
Thanks for watching!
This is groovy; apart from having only one 10Gb ethernet port - glaring omission for a $5000+ workstation 🤨🤨
You can always install a Thunderbolt card… 🌩Thanks for watching and commenting!
Too bad that it doesn't have same amount of PCI slots as the Lenovo P620... would awesome to see Six - 48GB Nvidia Gpu's in there to handle Llama-3.1 with 405-B
I have two of them but I really dislike that they are very load even when under mid load. If you have RTX 4070 TI Super Blower Edition it gets very loud. I´m about to do a custom build with watercooling again...
My P620 with 3975WX and Radeon W5700 is uncomfortably loud too. Screams under load. I'm disappointed the replacement isn't better.
@@origamitom I ordered some parts: Fractal Design Define 7 XL, Asus WRX90 Sage, AMD 7975WX, Kingston Fury 5600-256GB Octa Kit, 4x WD SN850X 4TB, RTX 4090 all with watercooling and external MO-RA IV. Lets see
for 5k these are a steal i was thinking of building a ultra 9 285k system when it releases but i think i would be way better off with this considering i use it only for office tasks
Need a beast with 96 VRAM
This will fit the bill and then after you add a few high-end GPUs like the RTX A6000 with 48GB ofGDDR6 memory. Unfortunately not included on the base system… Thanks for watching and commenting!
Need this for Fallout 4...
Was kinda hoping they would reposition those sata disks :/
Doesn't everybody? 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for commenting and watching!
Well, love the case tho.
48,000Mhz? 😉
I meant to say 48 Kazillion MHz… 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for watching!
