True, but it is because those people don’t know how to do it properly. Think it over: it is just a navigation software guide you from A to B: in 10 plus years ago: 64MB already can do it. How come a 2GB RAM not sufficient? This is totally an excuse of those guy who can not solve this issue, they tell you this is common issue. But in fact it is no such issue if you do it properly.
Don’t use word “Never” if you are just a newbie in programming or coding. If you don’t know how to get the system run stable, don’t DIY. The reason your system is not stable is because you don’t know how to do it properly.

Buy a native HW3.1 id5/6 unit and swap it. They cost around 500 eur. Much better. Dont flash anyways since you cannot flash EVO to newest istep anymore. Full screen car play is buggy. Trust me. I have flashed 40 ID4 units on bench;) Dont asume my system is not working OK. Assumption is the mother of all .... ;)
Rogier Gelling The Truth is I did first 10 sets got these crash or auto restart and reboot issue, but once I sort it out and following 200+ such upgrade never ever get anything wrong.
Can anyone who has gotten the upgrade provided by Max give any feedback? Looking at getting this done myself.
