The Verve borrowed from the Rolling Stones they took the rights to the song £££ for about 10 years and then gave them back to the Verve because they were impressed with the track but you have to get permission.. ✌️❤️🏴.
You are sort of right.Its a sample of Andrew Oldhams orchestration of Sympathy for the Devil so publishers were The Glimmer Twins ( Jagger/Richards they got the royalties for more than 10 years but as a positive gesture gave it to Richard Ashcroft in perpetuity on his 50 th birthday
The bass player from the Verve gave Ren a guitar after hearing this cover. Ren is a once in a lifetime artist and human. Love watching you guys !
