Tim you and Mario Buatta are the only two Designers living today i would allow to decorate my own home. I am very educated in both the Arts. Architecture, and Design with a broad range of experience, including restoring very old homes and Gardens and you two are the only ones i have seen now that really know how to conjoin comfort and beauty with Period Antiques and yet make then HIgh Tech in the sense of every day utility and practicality. Bravo l I can hardly wait to see what you do with your new Cheateau. My late husband was from Montreal and my grand daughter was born in Paris.. lol You and Mario have the mix down pat and you both only buy what you love and see when you find it then find a location for it. This is the smartest thing to do. You put your own stamp on it..

3:16 - Seeing as I absolutely, love greens and browns, this room would NEVER, EVER, become overpowering to me. It's maybe, the most grounded and earthy room in his place and my favourite. I personally, still, would have partly, divided the dinning and kitchen spaces, as that's a look I still, prefer. To me, when you enter one room you want to completely, forget about what went on in the previous room and actual, divided spaces that make actual, rooms is the only, way to do this and to create that change of scene in every room of the house, which is much, needed sometimes. The kitchen and dinning areas are prime examples of this. Open concept is INSANELY, OVERRATED! My Retro/Vintage Best. Out.
Entry way, kitchen and the living room is well done. Rest of the house doesn't look like was done by him. There is no vent above the stove ? Placement of the stove on the island was a big mistake, same with using of fabric shads above .
I don’t understand what is comfortable or practical about this. I would feel suffocated if I lived in that house. The master bedroom seems particularly dated although probably recently completed. Being in Los Angeles, the house should be more open and bright.
How beautiful and how lucky you are I try to make what I could out of furniture I find out on the street for garbage fabric it I washed it painted and try to make it usable for my home and make it my own so I can afford please adopt me or can I come work for you can house clean or take care of the garden I'll be your personal assistant I could bathe you and fold your clothes clean house clean the pool whatever you need
This is the worst music for the type of elegance this home has. Definitely deserved a better soundtrack than this, maybe one with more of a classical touch.

The venting system automatically rises up out of the island, it wasn't a mistake. The shade is an outdoor performance fabric and is up to the task.
