Another dangerous, venomous, animal Australia has is a fish called the Stone Fish. This fish looks exactly like a stone, and has barbs on the top of it's back/fin. So, you can't look for them to make sure you don't step on them. Their venom is quite deadly as well, and very painful. The more you know. 😇

I love koalas, I remember I made an artwork of them when Australia was on fire, the piece was called "metamorphosis" and it showed in few drawings a sleeping koala on a tree turn into a skull with flames around, it's an old artwork by now but I still like it a lot.
most zoos in the U.S. lack the resources to care for koalas properly. Koalas can swim, if there are no assisted ways for it to climb out they will eventually drown. During the day they doze, tucked into forks or nooks in the trees, sleeping for up to 18 hours. And The koala is a symbol of relaxation, so its sighting is a reminder that you need to take some time for yourself. Additionally, the koala can also represent loyalty, family, and friendship. If you see a koala in your life, it may be time to reconnect with those close to you.
If you want to make more fluffy customs, I would take a look at some of the ooak/doll customizing videos. They have lots of good advice about wefts, flocking, etc. One person I would highly recommend is dollightful!
Koalas are the only other animals other than primates that have fingerprints with each one unique to the individual koala, like us humans! Amazing custom! Love your work 💕🐨🎋
As a brazilian I can confirm mane wolves are pretty cool (we even have a picture of them on the R$200 banknote). In portuguese we call them "Lobo Guará", it would be really nice and interesting to see how you would translate a mane wolf in one of your customs 🌟

My koala experience: I went to Australia for the first time this summer to study abroad and it was my first time leaving the country. We went to a wildlife park and I was not prepared for the koalas. Like I knew they were cute, BUT HOLY CRAP their little bottoms were adorable! And the way they crawled around was so precious ❤ I will hold that memory dearly forever 🐨

However, because they are so different from other marsupials, they are classified into their own family called Phascolarctidae.

I had a school project where we had to pick the 'less cute' endangered animals and put them in the spotlight through digital design. I learned that Camels are the 8th most endangered species, with less than a 1000 in the wild. Tht so crazy to me! Also love your videos! LPS was a big part of my youth in the early 00's 💖💖
while using faux fur, you can glue it the way you did or pre-weft it and pre-style it in baking paper, it makes it easier (at least to me) to have small wefts/tufts ready and just glue those in the way I want, and if there is too much glue showing, you can cut a bit of the fur veeery short into a bag (like small fur dust), put more glue on top of the showing glue and use that fur dust to flock that part. It'll become fluffy! Flocking dust is mostly made out of polyester fur, you can buy it ready to use or make it yourself. You can even make flocking dust using yarn, and that one doesn't looks like individual strands, but just clumpy fluff which looks great in my opinion. Just have in mind that if you want strandy flocking to stand upright and be fluffy and not just land flat, you need to use stactic force with an electrical device thingie.
This custom actually looks like it could be a G2 lps, this has to be my favorite in the series so far, it's amazing 🥺💞 I really like the fact that koalas are great mothers. They carry their babies everywhere and they even fight to the death to keep them safe unlike other marsupials who are more likely to sacrifice the baby 🐨

I remember always watching animal documentaries and being obsessed it’s sad to see that most of the animals documented may not exist at some point, it’s great to see more talk around animal endangerment to prevent that, love the koala custom on a lighter note! One of my fav animals so cute
On the hair front, made a fully furred bandicoot faux taxidermy years back. I used latex for some reason (terrible idea, it decays badly) but you want to paint a bit of glue on the surface, take a small tuft, then gently paint the base of the tuft down on to the glue. Keep going in layers of small tufts, similarly to how you've painted on the fur, but with the tufts (does that make sense?) leaving time to dry in between so you don't end up with a soggy clump (not that you did, just as a precaution particularly covering larger areas). Time consuming, but a nice effect.

I live in Australia and when i went down to my grandparents property they said that a koala was living in their gumtrees and that it comes out sometimes and unfortunately I didn’t get to see it but it was still fun sitting on their porch trying to find the koala.

As someone also in NC, I have experienced both tornados and the outskirts of tropical storms, and both are extremely nerve wracking considering my fear of storms 💀💀 (Awesome job on the custom btw! The way you do the eyes is always chef’s kiss👌) Edit: The birdsong here is indeed very pretty, but I’ve noticed that I don’t hear mourning doves as often as I did when I was little.

Dunno if you've seen this before or not but, one thing I've seen a lot of doll customizers do to make wigs with loose hair like that is placing hair in a row on something like a plastic folder, paintimg the bottom with mod podge, wait for that to dry, peel it up, trim the bottom to be straight and you can cut the row into pieces whatever size you need then you should have lil wefts of hair to use, place, glue, trim, etc how you like that way you're not trying to glue a bunch of loose hairs you know? Dunno if that makes sense but there's def tutorial vids out there, just an option tho 👌
7:52 GURL SAME I LIVE IN NC TOO! Tip for fluffing stuff: if you have fluff that has felt on the bottom it would work a lot better. To glue it on you need glue (any type) and your fluff. Make the shape of the thing your glueing it on, Put the glue on the bottom of the felt and then stick it on and done! YALL CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG!!!
Living in Australia I have gotten the chance to see these guys multiple times in my life!!! Something many people don't realise is that they have super sharp claws that they use to climb trees so every time I have been to a zoo with them you are not able to hold them, instead you take a photo next to them!!
27:53 I think my favorite childhood memory is my dad and I swimming out far beyond the shore into the ocean. It was dangerous and stupid, but I was so fun being that far out, everyone back one the sand looking small and blurry, being so close to where the boats sailed

Something that could help so you don't have to repaint spots as much as I've noticed you doing- Very very minor sanding with a very high grit sandpaper then doing a layer of ModPodge before doing the base layer of color. It sounds a bit unintuitive, but ModPodge works as both a sealant AND a primer, and I've used the technique several times myself in customizing Transformers action figures. It really helps a lot to prep the surface and prevent smearing and chipping.
It turned out so cute!! 🐨💕 This might be my favorite of the series. I don't know much about koalas, but I'm always reminded of the Koala Holiday song from Webkinz :D Also, I recommend making wefts when working with faux fur/hair! You only need to cut a section of hair and then paint glue onto the ends. Once dried, it becomes more manageable to trim and attach. I use this technique for making LPS wigs and it makes it so much easier since LPS are small. It's also important to work in a ventilated area or wear a mask so you don't breathe in all the tiny fibers!
I absolutely love the koala custom!!!! One story I have with koalas, was I had this plush koala as a kid that I took everywhere and sadly I don’t have it to this day. I’m guessing it got lost in a move or a garage sale, but I still miss them to this day!❤
Have you ever made a red panda? They're also endangered! An idea for the base could be a cat head + ferret body (idk how that would look but just an idea)
You forgot a detail on this LPS custom all koalas have a different pattern on their bottom. It’s sort of like their name koalas can tell other koalas apart from each other because of the pattern. It’s very useful if you want you can add it to the LPS custom you don’t have to, though.
What I always find fascinating when it comes to endangered/extinct animals is the animals that are commonplace now that nearly went extinct a century ago. White-tailed deer populations were reduced to the point where they were eliminated from many states in the USA and would have been counted as endangered - perhaps critically endangered - were their numbers at that level today. Same story with the Canada Goose - they were nearly hunted to extinction. It's a good reminder that though things are dire, rewilding has happened, and protections have worked. We can make a difference.
She is GLORIOUS. The only thing i have to say about koalas is that they are my mothers favourite animal! And i made her a character once for her birthday …and i added a tail- this video just created some lore for my mums little koala- oh well! Oh I LOVE extinct animals!!! My favorite is the Thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian Tiger, it was a marsupial too! It was hunted to endangerment, but the last ones died in a zoo in the 1920s. I LOVE THEM, this topic was so fun to listen to!
Surprisingly, eucalyptus leaves are poisonous to most animals and humans. So how do koalas safely process the leaves' toxic chemicals? It has to do with the unique microbes that inhabit the animals' digestive tract. Not only can these bugs break down the poisonous compounds they're passed on from mother to baby koala.
Koalas are literally so cute I love these animals so much, unfortunately I didn't have chance to see them irl yet :( Each time you surprise me with the custom design's, I think it turned out wonderful!
Here's a fun animal fact! There are certain animals that are 'Monotremes' they are mammals that lay eggs! The only monotremes are platypus and the four species of Echidna, all of which are found and native to Australia and New Guinea! Very interesting animals :)

It just walked across the road about 30 yards in front of me. It was a black bear and only a mile from my house. There are a lot of mountains and caves around here.
If you want to avoid acetone, you could use a fine grit sandpaper instead. Wouldn't be a good idea in areas with lots of fine detail but it would have been good on this one for just knocking back that raised paint.

I love how she turned out, especially the fluff !! Did you know after weaning off of their mothers' milk, baby koalas eat their mothers' poop? This is so that they will develop a digestive system capable of digesting the toxins in eucalyptus leaves, which is the type of plant that makes up 100% of a koala's diet! These leaves also give them almost all of the hydration they need. They are almost never seen drinking water in the wild! Anyways for your question about flocking, they make flocking powder specifically for that. But you can also cut up yarn into super tiny pieces, although that is a bit of a pain.
Koalas are my mom's favourite animal and I remember drawing koalas from very early age qhsh to this day I still doodle koalas randomly because they're adorable and very unique animals. A quick tip for painting with acrylics: A hair dryer on high heat cures acrylic paint in a few seconds. It saves a bunch of time, especially if you use thin coats

Luckily they're are lots of loving wildlife charities that help save the koalas! Koala Facts! 1. Koalas pouches are upsidedown meaning they're Joey (baby) is carried upsidedown. 2. I remember always watching animal documentaries and being obsessed it’s sad to see that most of the animals documented may not exist at some point, it’s great to see more talk around animal endangerment to prevent that, love the koala custom on a lighter note! One of my fav animals so cute
These videos always inspires me to make custom LPS. It also inspires me to get better at art in general.
On the hair front, made a fully furred bandicoot faux taxidermy years back. I used latex for some reason (terrible idea, it decays badly) but you want to paint a bit of glue on the surface, take a small tuft, then gently paint the base of the tuft down on to the glue. Keep going in layers of small tufts, similarly to how you've painted on the fur, but with the tufts (does that make sense?) leaving time to dry in between so you don't end up with a soggy clump (not that you did, just as a precaution particularly covering larger areas). Time consuming, but a nice effect.

Koalas were my favorite animal as a child :D I remember drawing a comic about them in elementary school art class where I made the main character Koala special by making her pink!
I live in Australia and when i went down to my grandparents property they said that a koala was living in their gumtrees and that it comes out sometimes and unfortunately I didn’t get to see it but it was still fun sitting on their porch trying to find the koala.

As for koalas, I didn't even realize they don't have tails until you brought it up xD i was on call with my s/o while watching and apparently they knew that as a random fact they had picked up over time haha
As someone also in NC, I have experienced both tornados and the outskirts of tropical storms, and both are extremely nerve wracking considering my fear of storms 💀💀

Dunno if you've seen this before or not but, one thing I've seen a lot of doll customizers do to make wigs with loose hair like that is placing hair in a row on something like a plastic folder, paintimg the bottom with mod podge, wait for that to dry, peel it up, trim the bottom to be straight and you can cut the row into pieces whatever size you need then you should have lil wefts of hair to use, place, glue, trim, etc how you like that way you're not trying to glue a bunch of loose hairs you know? Dunno if that makes sense but there's def tutorial vids out there, just an option tho 👌

Tip for fluffing stuff: if you have fluff that has felt on the bottom it would work a lot better. To glue it on you need glue (any type) and your fluff. Make the shape of the thing your glueing it on, Put the glue on the bottom of the felt and then stick it on and done!

Living in Australia I have gotten the chance to see these guys multiple times in my life!!! Something many people don't realise is that they have super sharp claws that they use to climb trees so every time I have been to a zoo with them you are not able to hold them, instead you take a photo next to them!!

Something that could help so you don't have to repaint spots as much as I've noticed you doing- Very very minor sanding with a very high grit sandpaper then doing a layer of ModPodge before doing the base layer of color. It sounds a bit unintuitive, but ModPodge works as both a sealant AND a primer, and I've used the technique several times myself in customizing Transformers action figures. It really helps a lot to prep the surface and prevent smearing and chipping.

It turned out so cute!! 🐨💕 This might be my favorite of the series. I don't know much about koalas, but I'm always reminded of the Koala Holiday song from Webkinz :D
Also, I recommend making wefts when working with faux fur/hair! You only need to cut a section of hair and then paint glue onto the ends. Once dried, it becomes more manageable to trim and attach. I use this technique for making LPS wigs and it makes it so much easier since LPS are small. It's also important to work in a ventilated area or wear a mask so you don't breathe in all the tiny fibers!
I absolutely love the koala custom!!!! One story I have with koalas, was I had this plush koala as a kid that I took everywhere and sadly I don’t have it to this day. I’m guessing it got lost in a move or a garage sale, but I still miss them to this day!❤

You forgot a detail on this LPS custom all koalas have a different pattern on their bottom. It’s sort of like their name koalas can tell other koalas apart from each other because of the pattern. It’s very useful if you want you can add it to the LPS custom you don’t have to, though.
What I always find fascinating when it comes to endangered/extinct animals is the animals that are commonplace now that nearly went extinct a century ago. White-tailed deer populations were reduced to the point where they were eliminated from many states in the USA and would have been counted as endangered - perhaps critically endangered - were their numbers at that level today. Same story with the Canada Goose - they were nearly hunted to extinction. It's a good reminder that though things are dire, rewilding has happened, and protections have worked. We can make a difference.

Oh I LOVE extinct animals!!! My favorite is the Thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian Tiger, it was a marsupial too! It was hunted to endangerment, but the last ones died in a zoo in the 1920s. I LOVE THEM, this topic was so fun to listen to!
Surprisingly, eucalyptus leaves are poisonous to most animals and humans. So how do koalas safely process the leaves' toxic chemicals? It has to do with the unique microbes that inhabit the animals' digestive tract. Not only can these bugs break down the poisonous compounds they're passed on from mother to baby koala.

Here's a fun animal fact! There are certain animals that are 'Monotremes' they are mammals that lay eggs! The only monotremes are platypus and the four species of Echidna, all of which are found and native to Australia and New Guinea! Very interesting animals :)

It just walked across the road about 30 yards in front of me. It was a black bear and only a mile from my house. There are a lot of mountains and caves around here.
If you want to avoid acetone, you could use a fine grit sandpaper instead. Wouldn't be a good idea in areas with lots of fine detail but it would have been good on this one for just knocking back that raised paint.

I love how she turned out, especially the fluff !! Did you know after weaning off of their mothers' milk, baby koalas eat their mothers' poop? This is so that they will develop a digestive system capable of digesting the toxins in eucalyptus leaves, which is the type of plant that makes up 100% of a koala's diet! These leaves also give them almost all of the hydration they need. They are almost never seen drinking water in the wild!
Anyways for your question about flocking, they make flocking powder specifically for that. But you can also cut up yarn into super tiny pieces, although that is a bit of a pain.

Koalas are my mom's favourite animal and I remember drawing koalas from very early age qhsh to this day I still doodle koalas randomly because they're adorable and very unique animals. I really love this video and all your customizations overall, you really inspire me to try to repaint LPS someday!!!
A quick tip for painting with acrylics: A hair dryer on high heat cures acrylic paint in a few seconds. It saves a bunch of time, especially if you use thin coats
