You are incredibly amazing Ron, and I could listen to you play for hours on end. Thank you kindly for reaching out to other musicians, so sweet of you.
First..woohooo!! Mega cool when Guitar Gods like Bumblefoot take time out of their heavy schedules/gigs/life etc to give tips to help out other musicians!! AWESOMENESS!! YOU ROCK!!! His guitar faces are so cooool...shows how much he loves to play guitar and that so comes out in his tunage!!
Ron, these are really clear and effective lessons and its clear there is a high degree of accuracy in your playing. I also like the videos where you play with the guitar unplugged - its unique and helps the student to focus on the technique rather than the final tone.
I always thought he is an alternate version of guthrie govan cause he has the cleanest technique of any guitarrist even though buckethead is still my favourite
Yep, he's so much more than what we heard from Sons Of Apollo. He can play anything. This tune is kinda reminiscent of Satriani's early stuff, but just more unleashed ! Bumble's style and techniques are friggin' amazing, definitely brings something new to the table.
Hi Ron I'm Yousif Amiri I'm currently working on my album but you have such nice stuff, I'm doing some heavy metal I just almost finished seven songs. You're such a talent, you're no joke. Cheers.✌😉
Bro, this is beyond! I almost use the word, "not normal" in my first comment about you but chosen "genius", "not common human" and "gifted" because the word "abnormal or not normal" have or may be used for not complete or rightly made or done things which in your case, you man, are gifted hahaha, great thing Jehovah has done wit hyou and some other people that exist today and have existed, so we have an idea of perfection. Just an idea! Thank you! On that interview with Loudwire, you used words that reminded me of myself, of how frequently I am misinterpreted and there you are another that is being misinterpreted even at things like "the sky is blue" or good things said yet, some people get us wrong. I'll keep your suggestion to put myself my two feet in my mouth to avoid this but reality have proven that is not us. Take care and may God assign you life! Take care and thank you for taking care of the people!
Like David St. Hubbins of Spinal Tap says(regarding Yngwie): "Why bother playing, might as well use my guitar as coffee table". I'm getting the same kind of thoughts when it comes to Bumblefoot. That being said, Bumblefoot is DEFINITELY an inspiring guitarist - even if I have 1/10 of his guitar abilities/capabilities, I'll be one happy person.
I really love his playing (though I didn't really "followed" him until now), but there is one thing that I really wonder about. At least, in this video: What's up with his vibrato? Does he have some kind of weakness doing it? I've personally struggeled with the downward wrist vibrato myself (until some months ago) but was always better than what he's doing here. And I just can't believe that... Is he doing it that bad on purpose? Since I don't really know hin and his music very well, maybe someone could answer that while I keep on clicking through other videos of him. ;) Cheers!
Okay... after two weeks I came back and listened to the main performance of the song here and there is just GREAT vibrato (both directions)! I think, he just didn't do it like that when demonstrating it slowly. So... all is fine! ;)
He’s focusing a lot on doing circular vibrato, just like on a violin. It’s a lateral motion with very subtle pitch variations that can maintain sustain. If you want one of the main examples of it, just watch Steve Vai or Yngwie
I've always been a fan of Bumblefoot's from back in his "Guitars Suck!" days ;) th-cam.com/video/wEOFMHgkHzI/w-d-xo.html (And just for the unaware, that "Guitars Suck!" is a tongue-in-cheek/ironic song title he has in a song where he shreds the hell out of a guitar, lol. I've linked it above for you.)
Ron Thal, aka Bumblefoot, legendary guitarist of Sons of Apollo, Asia, Art of Anarchy, and ex guitarist of Guns ‘n Roses, is doing an online INTERACTIVE ZOOM live masterclass with Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp!! I can’t believe I get to meet him live. There are only limited spots available so make sure to get your tickets quick! www.rockcamp.com/masterclass.php
Uh, when they have a short, fretted neck, and are played on the lap they're called a "guitar". You're apparently thinking of a cello. Glad I could help.
+Tony Marko they're avaible on the Vigier website (search for the Double foot guitar), if i'm not mistaken the strings on the bottom neck are standart (something like 9-42 or something like that) but the fretless ones are super heavy, like 11-51 or something like that
Oh ya, that was crazy fast ! Impressive. Sometimes i see shit like this from him, Petrucci and a few others and i kinda get the feeling that i should sell off all my gear and take up knitting or do crossword puzzles instead !
I can't believe I never heard this of guy 3 days ago... He's not only unbelievable but he's refreshingly original... Rock on BF....
Make sure you check out some Sons of Apollo. His playing is stellar. Technique and ideas, in perfect chemistry.
@@YaoEspirito I have... I'm a fan of that big rock sound... Ron's playing is just out of this universe!
I mean no offense to you Don, but have you been living in a box?
Ron is just the coolest guy and what talent man. Killer licks and playing. I love his vocals too..
This guy knows how to think outside of the box. Great talent and such a nice guy.
Downright amazing. Now to hit the woodshed.
You are incredibly amazing Ron, and I could listen to you play for hours on end. Thank you kindly for reaching out to other musicians, so sweet of you.
Non capisco perché questo genio, non venga considerato uno dei migliori chitarristi rock di sempre.
I get weirdly excited when Ron fingers a chord that I recognize.
It's kinda rare.
it is rewarding to know your study is helping you
I Don't think I will play this song but it gives you a lot of cool ideas to put in your own music! this guy is such a great teacher!
At 4:45, they translated "uno mas" to "Bruno Mars". I can't even …

Good rocking guitar. This man is a cool dude.
he is kind of the funky brother of Buckethead, who loves some Punkrock too
Slears Buckethead is friggin funky too. listen to his funky pikes.
But hes not afraid to show his face i love buckethead tho
Yeah they both have shitty names
I always thought he is an alternate version of guthrie govan cause he has the cleanest technique of any guitarrist even though buckethead is still my favourite
The creativity and technical skills of Ron are amazing. This lick with chromatic passage using tapping technique is very nice
omg amazing guitarrist. I discovered him thanks to sons of Apollo. great techniques

Great guy, great talent and great teaching. Music isn't about winning so you don't have to be the best as long you are great!

He is a kind genius.

Insane improv at 1.20. So badass.oh now he has made me sound American! The power of Ron Thal.
Very fine, super good guitar player, top notch, elite.
Such a cool dude, definitely an inspiration.

2:04 That flanger effect weights 13lbs and is worth almost 7000 bucks!

Ron Thal is the Guthrie Govan of metal
So delicious music
Great Player
This has such a theme song vibe to it.

Ron rules!
...and 2000 years later ___ sent his son back to earth to bring us real rock music and free the earth from soft pop synthy crap!
This guy is a fucking awesome player. And super creative. Hi Everybody! LOL
Does anyone know the brand of string dampeners he uses?
This would make for a kickass theme song for an animated children's show!
kinda in awe here, right now.
would love to see a album with him and buckethead they should call it bumblehead or bucketfoot
what tecnique/harmonic is he using at 1:31/1:32
I my not sure what exactly you are talking about but it sounds like he is just hit notes on 2 strings and holding one while bending the other

Where did you get the name Bumblefoot?
If I recall correctly his wife is a vet and he got the name from one of her textbooks
Your a genius Mr bumblefoot.
You, not so much. Three mistakes in five words?
@@YaoEspirito your definitely not.

didn't he do the MXC theme?

Reminds me of a track from Twisted Metal.
sounds like 90's blink 182, and some weird shredding stuff
THE IRA Blink + Foo Fighters + Shredding
La ptite Vigier de la mort qui tue !
1:07 it's like a super mario powerup

Sabes como se llama esta canción??
Fumbles, some nice chops, but what's going on with your vibrato bro? Relax with it and git some nice long flow happening. :-) Enjoying the vid. thx.

Glad I could help.
Fucking horses! Great!
Wow…
Some people are down on this play?!
They must be more famous and better guitarist than Mr. Bumblefoot, then…
anyone knows the string gauge? they look super light.
+Tony Marko they're avaible on the Vigier website (search for the Double foot guitar), if i'm not mistaken the strings on the bottom neck are standart (something like 9-42 or something like that) but the fretless ones are super heavy, like 11-51 or something like that

4:43 Uno mas! por favor! jajajajajaja

2:23 was lubrication for what he was about to do to the guitar
i dont like to play with that string muter, i think it changes the overall sound, its very helpful though
Bumblefoot sounds like a radio narrator

You know you made it if underneath your name it says ''Shred''
That tapping lick sounded better at half speed.
Kinda like Satriani-style but on mega steroids !
Doing solo in a fretless guitar. WTF!
This almost canon.
