Gearbox tune is what you need. I've just had my 335d stage 1 and stage 3 xhp. Running 385bhp and 795nm torque, nothing but an upgraded k&n panel filter. Runs around 4 seconds 0-60 🚀 These engines are capable as hell

I’ve got a f31 2017 rwd stock draggy time I got was 5.36 stage one bang on 5 seconds. You need to use launch control it’s more consistent The extras in your car make little to no difference the best stock time I did was 3/4 tank and 2 up, but could never beat that time even on my own. I also have 19 inch wheels 4s tyres

@@Tom-dz7ofMy xdrive definitely feels quite weak mid-range, especially compared to how quick it is off the line. Struggles to keep up with Polo GTIs & Fiesta STs from 30-70. Keep looking into remaps but want a proper custom one, which doesn't come cheap.

@@Tom-dz7of when mapping car is it mapped and that’s it or does it need to be mapped in all driving modes. Like the transmission flash is that it or only when in sport made. Hope that makes sense.

Is that a generic map or a Dyno. Had My f31 330d done on a Dyno. 315 bhp and 656 nm torque. Absolutely flies. I heard the Generic maps weren't quite as good, but don't know for sure. I love the car, so a few hundredths of a second wouldn't bother me .
Hi mate good figures, it is a generic map, but I know it’s a good one, would defiantly be better on a dyno or road map, might be down to Opperator error on times, just the car reved too height in sport mode as diesels don’t respond well that high up in the rev range

I’d go fore stg 1, unless you want economy, best to talk to the mapper for what your after, but does make a difference and bmw offer it from factory 🤷🏼♂️😎👍🏻
Hi mate not 100%, but they are the ones on it when I bought it as good treads all Round but I’m shire there not mainstream brand so would make a big difference with wheel spin I’m sure, main issue was the revs as Iv analysed the dragy times the gear changes is 100% where I’m loosing most of the time, using the paddles next 😎👍🏻
Hi mate if there diesel there both basically the same engine just the 335d has another turbo so more to go wrong, the 330d mapped takes it to pretty much the same as the 335d so depends on what comes up and you can afford and spec you want 👍🏻😎
I know it’s not much info mate, but can’t go wrong with the m57, just make sure service history is good, regular oil changes etc, gearbox should be serviced 80k, chains are only really an issue if services have been missed, bmw recomend 10k, id be doing it 8k or annually, make sure there are no metallic rattling on cold start, go for the spec u want etc 👍🏻😎
I have an f01 2010 , 170 k km . Should I be worried if i remap it to stage 1 ? I am driving the car normally not any brutal accelerations and I change oil at 8k km interval. Will it affect anything ? Put some additional stress to some engine parts ? Thanks 🙏
Hi mate I wouldn’t be worried, Iv mapped the e91 -190,000+ miles, and all our others which are over 130,000+, if you do regular oil change’s definitely won’t be an issue so long as u use a reputable company/map 😎👍🏻
Huge torque with RWD will never launch well its just that upto 15mph or so that makes the time crap thats its. My e90 335d made 322bhp at the wheels, doesnt do good 0 to 60 times but rolling from any speed any gear and nothing much out on the road gets near it.
Hi mate, I’d expect more from a 30d tho, maybe practice, martins f30 made sub 5’s it’s only a twin scroll turbo so low down it should bite, yours will definitely pick up as a twin turbo, still rolling at 30 it goes 😂

Probably not the best mate, but revs in sport, sport+ are way too high for the engine, just lost too much power and lost out on the shift, diesels shouldn’t rev to the end of the range, could believe comfort kept it all in check!. With the car rolling S’port definitely makes a difference, but off the mark is way too much, just rev Rd too hard then lagged before the change
Your probably right there mate take leaf out of martins book🤔, was surprised S’port isn’t good off the mark, or it might just be me, had a good few attempts tho, think it’s best 30mph +😂😎👍🏻

I'd so the same as beeswax says - get ready to short shift before the revs get too high. Find some fresh tarmac too (is it better when the sun's been on it?). So many variables can impact these times. Upshifts are quicker in Sport but it will let the revs go higher, of course. But we all know it's off the line grip that makes the huge difference. Bet Martin would struggle to be consistent with that time he got.

How is the turbo systems hybrid, I’m considering the stage 3 turbo for the e91 on a low tune 350+ and standard injectors and pump 💪🏼😎

Putting the power down in the hardest point but midrange is where it would shine. Tires and road conditions makes a difference
Definitely mate, while it’s rolling 30+ it puts the power down, might have to do a few motorway pulls 30- 70🤔, see how it does 😎👍🏻

Why didn't you use launch control? (gear over to the left in sports+ hold the brake and hard on the throttle = LC active)

xhp gearbox tune and have it change up at 4500 rather than 5+. Sounds like that Alpina tune is a bit pants

Alpina tune is designed for the 35d engine not the 30d engine

What tyres are you running? They have a massive impact on launching quickly. Latest Michelins or goodyears i recommend.

Defo worth doing a 30-70 or 60-120 in Mexico 😏. More realistic mid range times and can be compared to others

I wouldn’t worry mate if your thrashing the car 24 7 then yeah maybe . Don’t forget bmw offered a stage one time for the 30d

Rwd for you. More aggressive the driving mode, more wheel spin. Try in full manual mode and use paddles
