      +Alan First off, South Park came out in 1997, when Opie and Anthony were still in Boston. Secondly, South Park was a fucking PHENOMENON when it first came out. It was on every magazine cover and news paper in the country with equal parts adoration and condemnation. A few pirated clips on WAAF did fuck all for Matt and Trey.

    What people don't understand is that Jesse Jackson is a leader in the black community. While we don't always agree with him, we do consent to his ideas, for the most part. Having to apologize to a leader of a community, in my mind, is the stupidest thing for an accused racist to do. The best way to apologize is to never use the N word again and if you are going to make a national apology do it on a news show where a reporter interviews you. Apologizing to a black leader is simply placating him and buying face and stinks of patronage.

      @@lt.finglefubledingler1972 In the Episode nobody understands why you can't say the N-word and that it's "not a bi deal", but when they are in a situation where a word is hurtful to them and reminds them of things they would rather move past, they get really offended and want to ban the word themselves. So the episode is trying to illustrate how black people feel, when the n-word is said and that you should be respectful to that, because you would feel the same way in their position.

    • @TheGr8one1022
      @TheGr8one1022 11 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Why would it bug you when he's completely correct? It's a stupid double standard that the media has; he was trying to be serious, not comedic, so what does "being funny" have to do with it? The South Park clips were already funny, complete jokes in and of themselves, so it would be unnecessary for him to try and add onto them to be funny, and he instead wanted to talk about a serious topic that exists; white people have to walk on eggshells and watch every single word they say, while colored people and white people who act like ghetto idiots don't, with the latter being, ironically, unintentionally racist on the part of people who follow those standards. Hell, that was one of the points this episode was making, so they commented on it; trying to be funny every minute of every day gets old, and sometimes it's cool to have a serious topic.

    • @common101sense
      @common101sense 11 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Everytime Southpark, Family Guy or the Simpsons Jimmy goes off on the same rant. It's just annoying that he sees a funny clip of a show and has to get angry and change the vibe of the show. I get what he is fighting against but it just comes off like he hates cartoons. I'm just getting tired of self righteous Jimmy.

They came on the show once back in Boston i do belive and opie since has called the creators of the show by their first names only as if hes best friends with them. He gets upset cause he thinks that he helped them get to the top and now they dont come on his show any more.

      I started the 2nd channel because I had finally given up on trying to deal with a copyright claim from Prince. I had gotten zero results and all attempts to deal with it had seemingly failed. So, 2 days into starting the new channel, I get a message saying the counter notification I believed had either been rejected or failed to process...was successful and the channel was back to normal. So, I left jasonayeiter2 and went back to the original channel. I'll hold onto that channel incase I ever need it again but I don't plan to return to it.
