@AlphaNumberX oh ok. Was it the Japanese psx/ps1 version that only got that mode or was it in the U.S. release as well?
@@gm9984 I played the game on japanese at the time, don't remember exactly what version. Some lembrances of Nagare (Swiming guy from sports school) soo that was maybe the second game.
@AlphaNumberX gotcha. Yeah, have it on domestic U.S. ps1 so I don't remember ever seeing a character creation mode or I would have spent a life time using it lol

Caramba que nostalgia, fui muito feliz jogando na minha infância na época que ñ tinha que pagar nada por DLC, que época maravilhosa.
E tinha uma boa quantidade de personagens e ainda era customizavel.

Ótimo gameplay. Maravilha dos anos de ouro da divisão de jogos de luta da Capcom. Um jogo desses, periférico no quadro geral dos jogos de luta da empresa, tinha mais alma e capricho do que os jogos centrais dela (SF, MvC) nos últimos anos.

Jogaço, vinha em dois CDs e tinha múltiplas coisas pra se fazer.
Para quem tem Playstation, esse é um dos jogos que tem que ter na coletânea.

Joguei Rival Schools num arcade multi-jogos e achei bem difícil, talvez a dificuldade estivesse alta, mas era bem suado passar por todos, muitos deles finalizavam com combos ou especiais, foi insano!
WE ABSOLUTELY NEED MORE OF THESE! I miss playing this so much. I still own them actually so maybe if I can find them, I'll dust them off and give em a run thru. presentation wise I actually like this one more than the sequel. especially on the music front. thanks for the trip down memory lane with this. takes me back to 2000-2001 when I was playing this all the time lol. thanks!

That's where you're wrong. Akira in fact only said "Gan, stop" and nothing else, especially anything related to how their gang leader went missing.

I love Rival School series late 90s japanese taiyo high school my character team up batsu hinata and kyosuke most excellent job capcom fighting games my childhood so love it!
Batsu didn't realize that Raizo Imawano is his father, but I'm completely shocked that Kyosuke Kagami has something to do with the kidnappings in Taiyo High School and not only that, his brother is Hyo the final boss of the game and it's also revealed that Raizo is the uncle of Kyosuke and Hyo, and Hyo is the one who brainwashed Raizo, according to Wikipedia, Hyo has something called a "father complex" here's some information about "father complex":
Father complex in psychology is a complex-a group of unconscious associations, or strong unconscious impulses-which specifically pertains to the image or archetype of the father. These impulses may be either positive or negative
I gotta say guys I have heard about Street Fighter and Tekken Games but I have never heard about this Fighting Game! This Fighting Game does look so damn great!
Rival Schools is one of my favorite fighting games besides Killer Instinct and Dead Or Alive! I wish they would have kept going with this!

@@michellelincoln9987 Yes, both Capcom and Snk suffered a big decline of their rich fg Ip collection around the late 90's. For Capcom, the Marvel series grew so much more than their others, even Sf, to the point that interestingly it was Capcom's crossover that survived the 2d fg purge. Like, Sf - the original fg - died, while Mvc and Cvs remained in the 2000s. I guess the biger gameplay and character variety of crossovers helped in their survival.
The problem to me was Capcom's low efforts to assimilate those smaller Ips in the 90's. They did it to Morrigan, Cap.Com, Strider, Cyberbots in Mvc; also not a crossover case now, but another very positive move was sheltering Final Fight in Sf forever. Still, all that could have been better. For ex, i can't understand why they disregarded Rival Schools for Sf, when they even meant the series to be connected to Sf... That's one of the biggest injustices to me about this matter of Capcom and Snk handling of their smaller Ips in the 90's.
@@michellelincoln9987 That's why i started thinking, after seeing the decline of Mvc and the slim chances of other Capcom crossovers, that the best move to be done in the near future is Capcom making their own "KOF" or "SSB". A big 1st party crossover.
They have more than enough gold to guarantee a big success, that will please every long time player because of the love given to Capcom's legacy... and with the bonus that they won't need to deal with another company as in every other kind of crossover. And it will take some weight of responsibilities off Sf's shoulders. I believe it's the best thing to do right now. They must make this new franchise and turn it in a regular one like Mvc, that will follow Sf basically replacing Mvc.

The magic of Capcom's fg dev staff in the 90s... the strongest fg staff of all time, still unbeaten even today. They make the current Sf and Mvc devs look like amateurs.
It's pretty cool how this game is confirmed to be part of the Street Fighter universe!

Agora Batsu pode se juntar pra ajudar o pai nesta missão de mudar o país.

Kyosuke pergunta o q foi isso?
Ele explica q Raizo bateu nele qdo Batsu mostrou boletim dele e mãe dele concordou com Raizo ter batido nele.
Hinata e Kyosuke caçoam de Batsu e dizem q ainda vai haver um bom tempo até Batsu ajudar a mudar o país.

I always thought Roy was a preppy Leon from Resident Evil, and Kyosuke looked like Ichigo with Uryu's clothes on lol!!😂 If they ever made something like a CGC label but for video games, This gem should be the 1st one they label.

I heard them not doing this because the voice actornof Hyo died. The same was for the Anime Kenicho when Japanese Miu voice actor died.
