There was only one clip that was dubbed, all the other is the actual sound from the taping. I am the director and editor of this piece. I am glad you enjoyed it.
Its getting bad out there now, so many are teaching this dance and care nothing for even the rudimental history consequently we have many within the scene who came through those people and see it as the norm, I've been in this for 30 years now and se so many divides, thanks to Ynot, Skeme and others like them who keep a yolk in this crazy egg
Man!!! This is attack of the Scratch Nerds as mentioned on DJ Revolution's latest album. My initial comment was meant as tongue in cheek, however Skeme Richards and YNot both have very valid points. There arent many DJ's today that roll wit BBoys, Writers or MC's. This is certainly true in Glasgow (Scotland) and the bboy cru that i am part of are trying to address this. A few of us have started to MC and DJ, whereas i myself have start to take to the aerosol cans! What about you guys? :)
good job on the video. The bboys, DJs, rappers, and graff artist need to take this culture back. The Rap and Dogcrap they play on the radio is not Hip Hop!
Doesn't matter, y'all. Ynot is a down to earth cat and skeme's a real nice dude as well. Both of them are talented cats who deserve to be heard. If you don't like what they're saying then change the station and listen/watch something else. People need to stop dissing on the net and instead go out and dance.
that shit was CHURCH! but really, background dubbed music does no justice to the moves hes doing because, real talk, the moves are inspired by the music you see him battling to, in the clip. much respect.
the background music is the exact same music that he dances too, just like in the last example (get on the good foot), they haev the original music and then they overlayed the same song but it's actually even better quality so it sounds better. but i get what you're saying too
I dunno what this guy Skeme is talkin about. He obviously isn't really paying attention if he's saying no b-boys nowadays have character and saying dj's don't represent bboys. That's bull. Dj's that rep bboys just to name a few, Dj Pablo, LeanRock, Def Cut, list goes on. B-boys wit character, K-mel, Machine, Sonic, Do Knock, da list goes on.
Now that i think about it, i believe what skeme richards was trying to say was that people who practice the different elements of hip hop dont really mix. From where i come from not many cats who write are rollin' with MC's, BBoys nor DJ's.... Where's the love yo?
Learned a lot from this clip.
Thx.
