It's 2021 and this melody is like q brick through the window. Yes, I love the Stones, no pun intended but there music seems to betray a come as you are spontinaity-magic , just to put it lightly. Starts in on the second verse, but I don't mind that because it has the best melody and really does have that "we are better than Pink Floyd" kind of feel. Love this song, love The Stones and of course, I do love a bit of Pink Floyd. Jolly good show boys, great works indeed. What I love most about this recording is that the crowd aren't all trying to sing along, it really annoys me when the crowd sing along at a concert. I'm there to listen to the artist, not a thousand wannabes.
Beatles got spiritual and psychedelic with Sgt. Pepper's, released May '67 and along comes this album in December '67. It is claimed by many that the Stones followed the lead of the Beatles in terms of style. Maybe. Who cares they came up with awesome original tunes
This song had exactly 50 years when they played it, and sounded absolutely fantastic here, right tempo and fills. Some numbers have aged not that great, but this, oh boy, makes up for its name.
