HI Just starting watching your video . I was put onto your site by XC restoration's comment . I am undertaking 2 xc at the present and loved all your welding points and watching you at work. Also i am getting lots of education on fitting panels and welding. The point you made about using Front guards for the rear quaters ,i had the same idea but not the R to L and L to R . Too bad I did not have the money to buy your XB
Gidday, relatively new subscriber from New Zealand. Enjoy all your videos, not bothered if they are more talk or more timelapse, either way the info and delivery is great. Thanks.
Lovely work Graham as usual, i got excited when you mentioned the shrinker stretcher always been interested in learning to use all the different metal machines. Lookin forward to the next one matey 🤙🏼
Totally understand getting replacement panel instead of (maybe) wasting 2 hours making something complex I'm not a panel beater but a Boiley And don't want to waste people's time Keep up the rambling!
Hi m8 I been watching all yr videos they been great keep up the good work I love fords myself, iam not a fab man l like your humour..well done n informative like yr work it's neat.
The patch panel based on the wagon.. years ago I put extended mad max style shackles on my XA wagon and noticed they didn't stick out like they did on a sedan / 2 door. The lower quarter is longer on a wagon, but I suspect is on more of a horizontal angle aswel, hangs down more, which might be why its wrong where it fits at the front.
nice job getting that lower repair section fitting your right about the poor quality of the rust repair panels but as you said it would cost a lot more if you made the panel from scratch i've fitted a lot of rares panels in the last 40 years and there getting better the worst ones are the FJ holden outer sills there shocking and HKTg lower guard and rear quarter sections there not a good fit at all i bought a small spot welder for doing light repairs from a place in adelaide quite happy with it works well
I had a small spot welder for a while their and honestly it lasted waaaay longer than I ever thought possible but eventually I burnt it out but for a relatively cheap one it did very good welds
What I’ve been told is y rare spares sections don’t fit is because there presses are worn out second-hand Ford presses or GMH Holden ones have passed there used by date is y there always bigger than the actual car in the sections
Great tips. Especially the welding and picking apart spot welds.
Very similar to diy auto school. Except Australian and better 😉
Love the rambles as much as the repairs. You are real, keep it real and keep up the awesome work! Love to watch all the progress on all vehicles 👍
Your rambling is half the entertainment of watching you 😁 then there is the bonus of your quality repairs 👍 great video as usual
Wait till we catch up in person one day we'll probably talk each others ears off haha
@@xacoupeguy haha 😂 very possibly !
I like that you put in the little pressing on the inner panel , i also like watching when you make patch panels keep up the good work 👍
Great video, watched this one a few times, going to do the same repair shortly…

Love your work Graham, I would be extremely happy if a repair I did somewhat represented the quality that you produce.

Graham, where do you get the copper spray, and which brand mate? I have a project on the rotisserie, and your vids are an inspiration mate, cheers
it can be got from most crash shop suppliers and even ebay its a UPOL brand copper weld thru primer and thank you!!

So how hard is it to remove the cut off metal from the inside of the panel after you well the top?
Easy as reach inside the boot and grab it out
@@xacoupeguy Woops thought the boot floor was a single piece wall to wall with a wheel well in the middle.
