Awesome awesome fucking band! I met Carson recently after one of their shows, and he was so so cool and friendly, took a selfie with me and talked about their future music ideas. Definitely check them out guys. Awesome band and awesome people.
Holy shit, I never knew Craig was the drummer for Viatrophy. My high school band used to play Seas of Storms all the time! I thought we were the only people that knew that band existed hahaha
Opened two shows with The Callous Daoboys and they were unbelievably nice and gracious and fun to be around. I’m so glad they’re getting spotlight, they absolutely deserve it. Big love to Carson and The Daoboys
The Fall mentioned, LFG! Beautiful movie. Loved this episode, made me wanna check out the band. Insane music, all over the place, love it. Also my movie rec list grew by a ridiculous amount.
It follows and under the silver lake also have the same composer. Richard Vreeland (aka disasterpeace). He is probably my favorite composer and his ost for fez and hyper light drifter are incredible. Awesome ambient projects as well
Glad these guys admire Mike Patton. He is one of the best frontmen/vocalists/musicians to emerge from the 80's music scene. That he is still making great music is a testament to how talented he is.
Dying at the soundbar and restraunt stories. Used to do similar in my first job in retail, would randomly play the intro to slade - I wish it could be Christmas on loop at random times of the year, absolute shop clearer.
The Callous Daoboys are fucking awesome, saw them in Bristol on their UK run. This episode was great and I even have a movie list now, thanks :) Ps I love the two truths and a lie, get to hear some crazy stories.
FUCK YES FUCK YES FUCK YES!! These dudes are so cool, especially Matt. (Not that Carson isn't also cool but I can speak more on Matt being cool.) ... Got to chat with Matt backstage after the second Dillinger Calculating Infinity 25th Anniversary show in Brooklyn (for context, I know Ben since we live locally to each other and he put me on the guest list with all-access), got to chat drums and shit. He's superrrrr chill. We both nerded out over ProMark sticks and Larnell Lewis.
XERATH!! Fuck yeah I had no idea Craig had a part in those albums, he's right when he says underrated metal band. I remember coming across them in Metal Hammer, and immediately fucked with them. I thought the production was good, and loved the orchestral elements
I left Denver around the same time they did to drive to Kansas City on the drugs tour but to Illinois In the exact same blizzard and it was in fact super shitty haha
Hallo Craig and [edit: Simon! Is Simon still editing? Omg I’m all over the place😅]editor (my ADHD just erased your name from my brain, I’m so sorry! 😭) I’m excited for this episode🤭 I also love the wacky stuff. I love Suffocate with the reggaeton breakdown. I fucking loved BTBAM’s Colors II because of how weird it is. Prehistory and Revolution in Limbo with the Latin passage is great. One of us is the killer is also my fav album, it’s so good.
Shoutout to Matthew's flawless posture the entire time
real good looking dude
drummers with insane posture get into heaven first
