    Been workshopping this for a while it has a good matchup into pretty much every top deck including stall. I think it’s unique enough to make it into a vid. I still want to find a way to work a lost vacuum in to make the hands matchup easier, other than that I think it’s almost the perfect 60 cards.

      @@arshmarmanarbob8054 I don't get the 3 Metang if you're only playing 8 M energies. Odds to hit any are so low, I don't think you should actually commit to such a thick Metang line.
      Also, having only one Bidoof, you really should not play two different Bibarel, because you'll always be forced to choose between one or the other (are you're usually gonna go for the draw engine and give up on the POGO one).

    The thing about stall or control is it's usually good for the game because it usually slows down super turbo decks and keeps the format honest. But Snorlax has minimal skill expression and it's not interesting to play and not interesting to play against. Also Erika's hospitality with a block ability in format was a terrible idea. They give us that, irida and fortune sister but refuse to print a supporter that discards energy. I just don't get what they're trying to achieve. Overall snorlax being so incredibly easy to play is a bad thing imo

      Snorlax is on par with high-level sudoku puzzles… if you’re not using every drop of intelligence and memory you have within you, you’re not playing stall correctly.

    16:08 this kind of thing happens to me every 3rd game, sometimes with back to back Iono all game. Thanks zard decks.
    this season it was mostly bricking the majority of my matches, or playing single prize decks that aren't relevant anymore into future box. the kind of turn 1's where conceding is just saving time.
    I don't hate Stall on it's own. I dislike stall because the ways to win in pokemon is so few, and the most effective alt wincon is deckout by stall, with great tusk the closest the games been to direct mill being effective since i got here. I love deck out win conditions, but the main alternative to KO blowout games with meta relevant success until this month was laxstall.

    You can't really say X strategy is good for the game when it feels miserable to play against. The game is played by 2 players, so 1) they both need to get to play the game and 2) since it's a game, they both need to have fun playing.
    So any strategy which removes the fun of the game or prevents your opponent from playing the game with you is not good for the game.

      I’m done trying to spread the awareness of how saving 2-5 spots in your deck in case of stall beats it EVERY time. I’m a stall player some weeks, and I promise you all of the smart players are beating me simply by adding a tool or an extra mon or an ability to prepare for me because they respect the current meta and are serious players (who also have a blast watching me stare blankly as I witness stall become irrelevant). It’s a blessing of a match up if you build your decks as if the meta is EXACTLY how the meta is. And, win-win, the best counters also function as better engines than what everyone is used to since SV came out and anytime you’re NOT against stall, you have 2-5 free fodder cards you don’t have to regret discarding for UB or vessel or discard-draw engines. Teddiursa stage 2 evo, baby gengar, patrol cap tool, dudunsparce, any of the 12 Pokemon whose ability is literally to switch to active or bench, jet, flutter, nemona/backpack/pal pad/team yell/cylene, hisuian fishy’s, klefki, lumineon hit and run, diancie with the common sense not to evolve anything plus a patrol cap plus an energy, copying all their supporters as attacks with mime, SIMPLY ADDING BABY GENGAR TO YOUR DECK just in case makes stall literally impossible to win with and gives you three cards to discard in your engine in ANY standard deck right now. 3 cards. Sacrifice three f’ing cards and you slaughter lax in 4 mins or less. You’ll be just fine with 3 poffins, 3 UB, 3 catchers, 3 switch carts, 3 comfey, three WHATEVER to add gastly/candy/gengar to your deck if your draw engine is worth a crap whatsoever.

    • @Savageaf303
      @Savageaf303 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@emberpowertcg7692 minior would certainly be the lowest-cost option as far as sacrificing room in your deck, that’s for sure. The problem is, they play so many Penny/Palpad/Team Yell/Cyrene combos that they can still effectively deck you out while you’re trying to hit KO’s on 150hp (often 200-250 with tools) with an 80 damage attack. Additionally, many stall players use an attacker option just in case (2 fire energy for ChiYu at the least) which will eliminate your minior and begin the milling. Also, anytime they Boss or Catcher you, you have to lose another energy just to get minor back up front. Whereas losing 2-3 spots for a Gengar line guarantees unlimited switching with a Mon who isn’t a OHKO by ChiYu so you can attack with literally any Mon you have in play to take out their active before they can even Penny it and deck you out.

    Block Snorlax needs to be banned. its at the point where you are either playing stall and winning, or losing to stall. Furthermore, not only does teching for stall make your deck clunkier and worse against non stall decks usually, but now stall is counrering the counters. Stall lists now have rad zard and luxray to take knockouts on tech mons and everything else under the sun to control with. It’s not like banning it will make the world sad either literally everyone hates it. Also think about the future. All the possible new sets and mechanics like mega evo and stellar tera types will just get bodied by stall like everything else.

    I’ll give you the absolute BEST reason to play snorlax: BECAUSE I play snorlax, I can almost guarantee a win AGAINST snorlax with any other deck. Because I know how they have to think. And I wish people would quit complaining… ALL you have to do is save a few spots in your deck for the mill-blocking tool OR Flutternane OR gastly/candy/baby gengar to guarantee infinite switching, OR a couple canceling cologne OR a dozen other options that make snorlax irrelevant. That’s the reality of the meta right now, so respect the deck that pisses you off and do away with ONE ultra ball or ONE Iono or ONE anything in a couple spots to add anti-stall cards. It’s not hard and if you’re a dedicated player at all, you’ll adjust to the reality of the meta every rotation and build like you’re serious. Or just go play casual expanded if you’re just trying to have fun. I don’t get most of you 💯

    • @Savageaf303
      @Savageaf303 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      PS: if you end up NOT playing snorlax, those anti-stall cards become discard fodder for UB, vessel, discard-draw engines, and more. When you build a deck around only cards that you need, every sacrifice sucks at some level no matter what.

    • @XanXinGames
      @XanXinGames 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is a 60 card limit, if you plan for snorlax stall, you lose to a lot more matches as you lose consistency, thats why snorblock is such a difficult deck style to play into, i too play snorblock and understand your side of the arguement, but at the exact same time, it becomes a matter of, should i tech for one deck, or play it normally and win against 80-90% of others, and obviously you would pick to go for the broad sword.
      You also have to remember these are content creators and want to share fun decks and ideas, tho, i dont think the ladder is a good way to do it, but power to this guy for trying.

    • @Savageaf303
      @Savageaf303 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@XanXinGames any meta deck that already uses candy, you’re using two spots for a gastly/gengar for unlimited switching. You discard much more than two cards playing ultra ball, vessel, many engines, pokestop, etc NO MATTER WHAT so if you’re not playing against stall or a mill, you have discard fodder that would’ve been discarded regardless. Considering the amount of tusk mill and stall going on right now, it evens out your matchup risk, even to include a patrol cap. 🧢 I’ve played into arceus league following this exact method and I generally win.

    • @Savageaf303
      @Savageaf303 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@XanXinGames PS Klefki takes one spot only and is useful in many situations across the ladder, shuts block right down. A copy of Turo or Cheren or Penny has a VERY useful presence in any deck to prevent a KO on a main attacker and also ensures you get to keep that klefki up front. To be completely honest, I absolutely do see where the reality hits that stall can be a huge 45 minute disappointment of how you spent your time on live. I admit it does increase the impact of luck over pure skill. But the thrill of fighting against luck with all of the creativity and ingenuity and volatility you can muster is::. Idk… just FUN to me. I guess none of us will ever fully be able to understand what it feels like to live with someone else’s brain, right? I get it, I do. People don’t want to put forth the time and effort it takes to prepare over and over different ways through trial and error just to fail after 45 mins of pacifism. And just to add to the discussion: "control" is a completely different matter. There's so much skill involved in playing control and constantly adapting to your opponent plays, those kind of decks are actually some of the most challenging to play or play against. Stall is just so shallow, in comparison to anything else.

    As an occasional snorlax player, first off I only win about half the time. If you want to climb the ladder all the way with snorlax, you absolutely have to play smarter than most all meta decks. It’s sequencing of about a dozen possible sequences depending on every detail from your opponents build to their plays on every turn. It’s constant card counting to know when to stall, when to mill with ChiYu, when to mill items if you play Luxray, when the opportune moment to play your only mimikyu is, anticipating their next play, and prize management. It’s only maximum 250hp IF you use your only ace spec cape. That’s easy KO.

      @Savageaf303 This is the most ridiculous and wrong gaslighting I've seen in a while
      I can assure u there are a lot of top players playing stall right now. it makes a solid % of the field at high ranks and in tournaments. It's 1 of the 4 "best" decks right now. suggest u watch someone like omnipoke and see how stall is being ranked and where it's coming in tournaments
      if ur playing at any upper level, u simply can't spare 5 spots just for stall and risk your consistency vs other matches. 2 spots won't do jack to save u from stall. so much so that azul (one of the best players in the world) played charizard without a single switch a while back just to accept he's gonna lose to stall because he understood 1-2 spots wasn't going to raise the % win vs stall enough.
      tord recently got kicked from a tournament for slow playing because it's against the spirit of the game. stall by nature is trying to slow play. It's an unhealthy design by its very nature

      @@vkdeen7570 I’m aware, I play lax in arceus league. But when I lose, obviously to another player in Arceus league, it’s someone who was prepared for me and there’s a LOT of them. And when I play my other decks (in arceus league) with a simple gastly/candy/gengar for unlimited switching, I never lose against stall. And many meta top tier decks play candy ANYWAYS so I’m only using two spots. And typically one or two patrol caps to prevent milling. Discard fodder as well. @Savageaf303 ppl online at that level are specifically tech'ing because snorlax is being spammed so much even for trolling. i actual tournaments u can't do 3-5 tech for only 1 deck that's isn't the s tier deck because it will be well represented but not everywhere like it is online.
      if u don't play candy already then best case scenario gengar is a 3 card tech that if 1 piece is prized you're done. if they play lost zone and knock u out you're done. a stage 2 "counter" to a basic deck is ridiculous
      the online is so toxic right now with lax everywhere and lax makes every game long... its bad design.
