If this isn’t taken seriously, they will either fight against our own government or will stop fighting for us. This isn’t just in the Navy either. I was in the army for 9.5 years. We did as many admin readiness trainings as we did combat readiness my last tour in Iraq 11 years ago.
There is never a good time for leaders to micro-manage. If a 'leader' believes this, he or she is no more than a manager, not a leader. Leadership is a rare trait. Most who call themselves that are JUST managers operating at the level of their incompetence. That dude named Peter was right.
I agree, I found this answer milquetoast and not assertive enough. If there is micromanagement then there has been a failure of leadership along they way. Either the subordinates have not been sufficiently taught to perform their tasks or the commander hasn't been taught that you need to teach people to be proficient & stand back & let them gain the experience without stifling them.

I did 4 years all they cared about between 13-17 was getting your warfare pins. Nothing else mattered. Our chief would put better skilled ICs lower then the Bad techs all over the bad techs having the pins. Like Chief ive been on board 4 months no shit i dont got my pin but fuck getting that DCpo qual to help the maintenance 😤 yea i left. Did my time and left.
I would like to know who the service people think is the Commander and Chief can they answer the question No they can't.its a direct order that they took the code They speak of they know...
