    By far the best Echo FX review I have ever seen on TH-cam. Thanks!

    Screw it, ordering a tape core right now. I already have the Atlantic(which still makes me grin every day) but this editor makes the tape core even more useful. I was already buying the Roctary but I may as well get a tape core too because I will eventually anyway. NuX have been killing it in recent years. I don't know if the story about Strymon engineers going to work there is true but either way they're putting great gear out.

    Can you make a preset with reverb only? Thank you.

    • @Iodine74
      @Iodine74 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well. It’s three years later, not sure if you care about the answer anymore, but yes you can. At least in a way. The mix control doesn’t affect the reverb. So you can set it full counter clockwise, killing the delay signal, and then whatever reverb setting you had it at will come thru. So you have no control over the reverb itself on the pedal when not connected to a computer, but yeah you can have reverb only by killing the delay mix.

    Wow, this guys of nux are killing it! This is a great way to replace the Boss Re-20. They have to create a digitech Whammy clone

    • @kevinobryankob

      Nothing is going to replace the boss RE-20. both the boss RE-20 space echo stomp and the nux tape core are their own separate entities, and special for different reasons. 👌

    Can I change the expression pedal function to mix (wet/dry)?
    I want a delay that can provide a momentary (via expression pedal or not) delay to highlight only a certain chord or note while I press it down; have any ideas?

    • @zombiepantsyt5625
      @zombiepantsyt5625 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you could replace the foot switch with some sort of momentary switch on a delay pedal that has trails (continues until fades), or hard stop. Lots of modelling amps have the ability. Check out the Electro-Harmonix "Memory" man, boy, toy series of pedals, also line 6 delays. This type of feature is available on larger more expensive pedals in most cases, so it's probably a lot cheaper to DIY by modding a cheap/used pedal with a momentary switch button.

    • @MawSlithroat
      @MawSlithroat 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ZombiePantsYT Thanks man! By now I already figured out that I can make a loop pedal with both momentary and latch switches and have the delay always on plugged in. Doing that way I keep my pedal intact and can also control other l effects with the momentary switch
      If I hadn't come with that ideia before, your comment would certainly trigger the same ideia! So thanks a lot!

    • @MawSlithroat
      @MawSlithroat 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I build the loop to have the loop output always on and bypass the input signal while off, I believe it's possible to use even analog effects since they will be always on... I will try it! If I get it to work I'll send a demo of it

    • @redworm03
      @redworm03 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The dd-20 can do this. You just need an external momentary switch. You can hook it up to the expression jack and assign the function to on/off.

    Hello NUX people, I'm having trouble with the T-Lock forgetting my settings when I power down my pedalboard. Every time I power up I have to re-do my settings, and no presets are saved. This one aspect is very annoying, otherwise a brilliant pedal. Do you have a solution?

    Hi Nux people, I want to buy a Nux tape core. I like to know if I use the editor is there's a midi learn function on it? I like to use it with my synth or midi keyboard and it would be nice if I can control the editor from my synth or midikeyboard and not with a mouse. If not can you make it possible in the next update?

    • @philipellis7039
      @philipellis7039 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vigilius60 I read elsewhere that via tap tempo ( and the editor?) it can get 1500ms, it's just limited from the dial on the pedal. As information from Nux is so vague it's hard to know.

    • @philipellis7039
      @philipellis7039 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think I'm being dense here and need to re view the video. I think I understand that you can download the editor off the Nux site and plug your device into the pedal. This then gives you access to parameters not available off the pedal itself. Are these then saved? Just in the tone lock? Just to the whole pedal? Or can you adjust and save each of the 7 delay types on the big knob?

    • @Vigilius60
      @Vigilius60 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks and you are right: information from NUX are really too vague!

    • @nuxaudio
      @nuxaudio 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello Philip, we're sorry to make you confused. Cause the real Tape Echo delay time is less than 600ms, we set the pedal initial status as close as a real Tape Echo machine. For the Tape Core Editor, you could save all the parameter into the pedal. For example, you could adjust different retro head combinations with different notes into the 7 delay type presets and stored. Even you exit the Core Editor, it's stored and you could use it as you want.

    • @nuxaudio
      @nuxaudio 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      After you update the firmware and use the Core Editor to engage "smart tap tempo" (auto tap), you could set the maximum delay time to 1500ms.(That's the maximum memory of Tape Core dlx.) But if you tweak the real time knob, the maximum will be less than 600ms, the reason is we want to make the special pitch shift effect as the real Tape Echo while you tweak the time knob instantly to minimum.

    Hi everybody... I would like to use a bit of Reverb, just like the Rolland Echo... is it possible using this pedal or is it solely an "echo"?

    • @Clive007

      It has Reverb! Just use the Editor AND you can select which of the seven positions you want the Reverb on.

    • @erickpontes8155
      @erickpontes8155 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually no! You can save the settings made via software into the pedal.

    • @sirchtheworld
      @sirchtheworld 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On my mid-2015 Mac mini running OS Monterey ver. 12.5.1, I am able to save all settings into the pedal. (Power up the pedal connected via USB before starting the Editor software. To save the revised settings click the software SAVE button near the Selector. Then name the file and save that version to whatever folder on your computer. The same settings -- all 7 sets of them, one for each position on the software's SELECTOR switch -- will also be saved on the pedal. N.B. You can't just save one SELECTOR setting at a time. When finished, disconnect the pedal from the USB cable and close the Editor.) Note that, at least in my case, the revised settings do not appear to be alterable with the real knobs once the pedal is on my pedalboard and no longer connected to the computer. Easily changed back to factory settings with the Editor's RESET button, but it takes some back and forth between pedalboard and computer - saved as a number of presets -- for me to fine tune the settings.

      You need to turn off the device and unplug EVERYTHING. Then hold down the main footswitch, POWER IT UP, and make sure its connected to the PC, then in the fireware program upload the file and it should recognize the device
