      That was good of her. It did take me a while to work out how to do it in my head but I knew it had to be possible! My next brain teaser is how to work out making a diagonal granny square hoodie. I can't 'see' how I'm going to fit the sleeves🤷‍♂️ c x

    This technique is so amazing! I have never seen this method of joining the groups of V’s! Thank you for a great tutorial! I do want to try it with longer strips!

      Glad you like it, took me a while to figure out the method but it really works! I can't see there's any reason why you can't do longer strips as long as the length is a multiple of the width plus seam allowances, c x

      Just try it with some scraps of fabric to get your head around it and then you'll find it fairly uncomplicated, c x

      Just try it out first on a few rectangular scraps and remember not to sew right to the end of the seam. Once you get your head around it you'll see how simple it really is, c x

      Thanks Sarah, I'd never seen a demo for this design before so I had to work it out from scratch so I've shared all the little hints that I found when making it. I'd like to re-film it now we have better equipment but I also quite like the charm of our old 'office table and one man with a handheld camera' set up! c x

      Hi Lily, we're in the UK so all our projects are usually metric. finding a metric quilters rule is not so easy though, the one I've got is like gold dust!

    I never liked the herringbone pattern because all the patterns were done in parallel lines. But now I love it! I can't wait to make a true herringbone design! You make it so doable and I'm so glad I found your videos. You made a subscriber out of me! Thank you.

    Brilliant. Both the continuous rather than the "strippy" set and using the cut off points to fill in the other end. Glad you pointed out that those thould be trimmed a bit farther in to accomplish that.

      Start it small with some scrap fabric, and don't forget to leave a bit unstitched at the end of the seam. It is dead easy, honest! c x

      Realistically we ran out of time and that step, although not difficult, can be tricky if you're trying to rush it. It isn't necessary, I just do it because it saves the waste. c x

    I have watched this video until its nearly threadbare, I just could not get it. I'm new to Quilting. I did think I had it sussed only to find that I had made a mess of the final strip, ( I used a jelly roll and cut equal sizes of strips), quick unpick to the rescue it was red hot but I managed to resew the final strip, I just have to make sure I put it together with the other two. fingers crossed. thanks for this video, it finally sunk in. Ann

      Initially they were joined by trial and error! Took a bit of figuring out but this is the easiest way I know how, c x

    This was so much fun to sew. I’m making it into a large pillow for my granddaughter. I couldn’t figure out how to post my photo...but the center column is Kaffe fabrics and the outer columns are neutrals.
