Zvi Harry Nadel observed his disappointment with composer Leonard Bernstein's Jeremiah's Symphony's regression into comercial 'West Side story'. As I listen to the opening tritone in Lukas Foss' '13 ways of looking at a blackbird' onward, I realize Nadel's accuracy. Some of us were lucky to hear Foss conducting the Jerusalem Symphony for 4 years. At the time, together with Gary Bertini, voices calling in the desert.
I loved listening to this and getting to read the score! Are there any insights into the technical details of the recording? I would love to know more! :)

A blackbird won't be the same after this!
