The K9 handler recognize change of behavior in the dog.. then the k9 will alert with a sit... the handler can choose to keep the dog going... if the dog is good he will drag the handler to the odor... been doing it 15 years.

Those border patrol checkpoints are bullshit. I had their dog "signal" to human bodies or drugs in my truck. I'd owned that truck for over a year at that point and it was owned by an old man who used it as his dump hauler. They tore my truck apart and had their dog scratch my paint and they found absolutely nothing. They profiled me being a 23M driving from big bend and being from halfway across the country. I waited 45 minutes while they tore my truck apart with nothing, not even an apology. I'm convinced their dogs don't signal to anything and it's all pseudoscience. Their profiling.
So yeah hard pass on being a Rat against fellow co workers and friends etc. Couldn't pay me to be a internal affairs rat.. that job has to be hard enough with fellow officers liking you and having your back, nvm when they go outta their way to ignore the calls, respond a little slower N so on.... Ian gettin touched by a guard because he looks/sounds/dresses like a 14 year old with tattoos & glasses 😂 .

I enjoyed this guest, Ian. I lived and worked in Corpus and would ride my motorcycle to Brownsville periodically to eat Mexican. This is where I discovered Barbacoa. The place was grandfathered in whereby they cooked the cow head in the traditional way in the ground with wood leaves …I can’t remember exactly the process but these cow cheek meat made delicious tacos. Then I had to go through BP checkpoint on my way back to Corpus. I had nothing but good times in Corpus and riding around southwest Texas on FM roads. Ride to eat BBQ or tacos.
