It seems like everyone relates to the song in some way or another. my relation with this song isn't exactly a popular one but as a musician I listen to this because it's about the raw power of the instrument. the combination of different instruments playing their own special part to make an amazingly mellow and heartfelt melody is what makes me cherish 10 Years' work. You never fully get to know a band unless you listen to their Acoustic versions, only then will you truly hear their raw talent and struggles behind the voice. Right on.

As a father of two girls with autism. I've drawn a lot of inspiration from this song. I know it's about something else, but this song speaks to me about many of the struggles I have helping my kids through autism. Read up on autism then listen again. Am I stretching the message of this song too far? Great song!

I'm only 24 but I've seen a lot of crazy things in my 24 years of being alive, and this song just made think about...I don't know people who don't have it that good as America (use) to have. You watch TV and see all these countries in chaos, people killing people, kids starving dying, and you got groups and organizations of people who are hell bent on causing harm, pain and death to others, for joy. That's what this song made me think of. People who like to cause harm to other people out of joy do not deserve to live and I try my best to be a protector of the weak sick and/or poor.

I do agree with what you're saying and I do know that people interpret songs in different ways. However it's sad that people don't know the main meaning of this song. People hate addicts and put them all into one category. But some of them are trapped and addicted even though they don't want to be. I haven smoked weed in 5 months so I can land me a good career that a deserve without my habits deciding my job selection. I have smoked weed non stop from 13- 25 so this is my first time really without it. My other habit ive had for 7+ years but i never saw it as bad because I was always able to afford 2-3k a month without thinking about it. Now that shits hit the fan for me and I wish I could even make that a month right now. So this past 7 months has shown me how dependent I was on opiates since I started back in 09. People that never used cant understand. The high is immeasurable and the pain from withdrawals are just as immeasurable.

Then after 8 yrs we got back together though it was rough the couple of yrs due to my past legal/financial/ mental issues. She wanted to move forward and i was scared as well as low. For i wanted to give her everything she deserved but i failed :( Now she is pregnant with the guy that took her from me only 4 to 5 after we called it quits.

I was in an abusive relationship and was sexually harmed.. left with a child and thought I found the love of my life .. he wanted to start a family of his own and wanted anther kid to the family.. I gave my all and now left looking like the idiot with two kids .. even though all my intentions were pure and good..
