Another studio master w/slate ! This is so much better than an edited GSN airing :-)

Well, Buzzr is even more heavy edited than GSN when it comes to rerunning Color WML, Color IGAS and even Color Beat The Clock.

This was filmed 2 years before Shirley Jones appeared in her most famous role, as the beloved Mom on "The Partridge Family", which is one of my favorite series then and now.

That may be her most famous TV role, but she's most beloved to generations of movie-goers for her roles in OIklahoma and The Music Man.

who sez Partridge is her most famous role ... I'd rate it about fifth

Her most famous roles were in musicals, Partridge is the role introduced her to children born in the mid 60s and later.

What a big difference between this and the cbs version of WML! Only couple of months away from the old show and boy is it a huge step in the production!!

I got to see some of the b/w ones on GSN, the difference is minimal

The syndicated version of WML is completely controlled by the producers, Mark Goodson & Bill Todman, instead of the CBS network in the original nighttime, live version.

Shirley Jones was still married to Jack Cassidy when this episode was produced. The divorce was in 1975.

I wonder what Charlotte's commission was on the yacht rentals? I mean, $12,000 in 1968 is the equivalent of $100,000 today! The presidents annual salary at the time.. She was definitely dealing with some heavy hitters..

I really enjoy seeing these color WML? episodes with the VTR slate at the beginning. If you have any with Bennett Cerf I’d really enjoy seeing those (I know he appeared on the color version a few times). Thanks so much for posting these 👍

I hated the rushed Mystery Guest segments in the color WML productions. The panel can't even get warmed up in two minutes.

If this episode was uploaded about 18 months ago, there were not 1 but 2 living panelists from this week. Now Anita is the only living person left from this whole episode.

@@markblass4490 I was only trying to explain the first comment. You are certainly correct that Shirley Jones is still alive. I did once meet someone who had been a regular contestant on WML about 1965, I doubt if he is alive today. All these shows are 50-60 years old so the number of living participants must be relatively small.

There is no way the panel didn't at least have some prior clues about the yacht agent.
Arlene's second question is does the product require some "decks-terity" and then Anita infers from the product not being in the home that it must be connected with the water. Not a plausible logical leap.
