As a kid I had a few of those transformers. iirc, Sound wave, Thrust, Hotrod, Metroplex, Astrotrain, Onslaught and twin twist. I had a childhood friend that owned almost all of them, even the sets that transform in a larger one like constructicons and stuntbots or something. It's amazing how much engineering went into these things, all those hinged parts, textured and formed etc. The quality of the plastics you don't see that anymore.
I still have all my G1 Decepticons, including Megatron, Soundwave, the original 6 seekers, and the Constructicons for Devastator. It sounds like I'm bragging, because I am...lol ...(Just kidding, I don't mean to be a d-bag!)
oh stunticons and the aerialbots, each could transform into the big combiner like how the constructicons could into devastator, and also the giant single transformers like omega supreme and metroplex rocked
I love it when they make them like they were back in 84. I loved ALL the original AB and DC's sadly they ended up getting rid of the metal parts. Now not all looked good in both forms, but Megatron as a Walther P38 was incredible as a gun, Soundwave was awesome as both, same a most of the rest....Awesome...
Soundwave and Shockwave for the win! Those two were Megatron's most loyal ride or die followers! XD But Soundwave and his cassettes were the best sub-team as the cassettes were more loyal to Soundwave than Megatron specifically, making Soundwave one and his troops one of the coolest units, and don't sleep on his voice! XD I love how this MP-13 version successfully portrays Soundwave's ability to store all of his team (more than one in this case) within at the same like like a Carrier vessel or something - Ravage, Laserbeak, Rumble. Eject! Eject! Eject! XD Beautifully done! If they successfully made this into one of those transformable robots that was this complex\\detailed, could you stand it! XD
my fave character in the cartoon.. i love Transformers since i was a kid n had many of their toys (including Optimus Prime with his trailer, and Megatron in full metal version, which is insane when transformed into a gun as it looks so so real)…but most of my collections are mostly Soundwave n his cassettes soldiers😅…. i’ve lost count how many Soundwaves i got made from different companies…

First of all - whoever designs these transformable bots are TOTAL GENIUSES!! 2nd, you gotta be pretty damn sharp to remember how to transform them all as well lol - so kudos to you too Sir! 😎👍 Now in other matters.... if one tries to imagine that there was something REAL like this out here in the world, that's the 1 part of the Transformers cartoons & movies that I never really liked; how the Autobots strove to endear themselves to to the puny worthless humans and tried to protect them. WHY?!?! The humans were ALWAYS after ALL of the Transformers, and would even team up with the Decepticons in an an effort to DEFEAT & CONTROL the Autobots, not realizing that the Decepticons were going to wipe the humans out as soon as the Autobots were defeated. But meanwhile... ANY ONE of the Transformers was powerful enough to DEVASTATE AN ENTIRE COUNTRY!! This SINGLE Decepticon - "SOUNDWAVE" - could dominate THE ENTIRE PLANET if he wanted to. He has the ability to tap into & control ALL forms of digital communication, his 3 drones can cause earthquakes, do reconnaissance, and can transmit anything visuals & audibles they see back to him INSTANTANEOUSLY, and because of their advanced tech - I'm sure the signals would be UNTRACEABLE, UNHACKABLE, and possibly without range limitations. I'm also sure he could use Earths resources to create LIMITLESS numbers of extra drones with even more abilities. So there would be absolutely NO REASON for ANY Transformer to be friendly to a human. Just take Earth over and smash any silly human that gets in the way... like we do with ants. We don't even think about ants - we crush HUNDREDS just walking down a sidewalk and aren't even aware of it lol.... until they become too numerous and start getting into our homes and SWARMING on a dropped crumb. NOW we break out the cans of RAID and POISONS and try to eliminate the ENTIRE COLONY inside & AROUND our home!!! Some even pour molten aluminum into ant hills, then remove the ENTIRE COLONY as a giant hunk of useless metal; then just to look at it and say.. .(Wow, that's cool huh? 😯 .. Then throw it away!) lol.. The Transformers would SURELY look at humans the same way. ESPECIALLY the smug mouthy ones like that Army General that was screaming at Optimus Prime in the movie. OMG... How did Optimus not just SLOW ROAST him with radiation??? I would have! 🔥😁🔥 Probably a good thing I'm not an advanced cybernetic life form the size of a skyscraper huh?? 🤔..... or AM I?? 😳
I got the Blaster Autobot 40th anniversary G1 reissue this year. Very good reissue been hunting for a soundwave so I can have them fight it out on my AV reciever.

He was an only child so of course his parents bought all the transformers for him. He even had the GI Joe naval ship and he had Castle Greyskull
I own one, the CDs self transform when dropped flat on a surface. It’s an older one too, but I didn’t keep the passport sheet. I’m sure it should be easy to find online

Fact. When i was a child i longed after soundwave G1 because well, firstly, its a transformer! And secondly, i didn't have a Walkman, loved music and sweetly believed that the toy actually played real tapes..
Soundwave always was one of the 'simpler' bots to make/transform. Where they could improve is if he could actually have Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage and Ratbat all inside at once (yeah not gonna happen I know) and also play music. Music can be mp3, would be fine.
I have this one, along with Rumble, Ravage, and Lazerbeak, but I also splurged and got Frenzy, Buzzsaw, and Ratbat as well. I never did manage to find someone with Beastbox to complete the set, however... ... ... ...it shames me...
I have sound wave G1 good thing the tape was left in it the cat purchased second hand store and the dino bots shash and grimlock no boxes but still like them.
I’m not familiar with every version, but this is such an improvement. I was hoping for a version that has genuine, microcassette playback. I think pocket rockers could make a comeback if people who reviewed transformers played pocket, rocker, cassettes inside soundwave and blaster.
