I'm planning on getting a Samurai starter army from Warlord Games so this will be very helpful for painting all of those minis.

Pre-ordered this game a few days ago, realised "oh right, I'm going to have to paint them... OH *@&# I HAVE TO PAINT THEM"
I have reasonable experience painting, but the models I've painted have been mostly flat coloured armour pieces with minimal detailing required. I've never had to paint something that had a visible face before, so it's great to find a tutorial that's not only helpful, but specifically tuned to the game I'm looking at.
    Thanks!

i got the complete bundle ordered almost as soon as it went up. I'm so excited to get my copy, and the geisha assassin just looks so cool, with her sly expression.

Dude I just ordered a bunch of Samurai, this will help a LOT! Mind telling me what Citadel paints I could use for this?

A little inspiration for my Dragon Empire kickstarter. Nice work, as always. Cheers!

Excellent video - makes painting Samurai warriors a little less intimidating for me!

is this an official test of honor mini from their website? It seems to be higher quality, especially the katana, than the ones on their site which is why I'm asking

honestly, it is correct for the flags, but i'd like to point out a few things:
Samurais had very different clothes each since they came to war with their own material.
Ashigarus on the other had maight have had some sort of standart equipment as shown on your pic... but i doubt it displays the accurate "uniform" since they are few original sources about it...
I met this exact document before and it seemed to be merely a sample of skins for some computer game... not a reliable source imho.

i dont know how you can tolerate army painter's line of paints after using all the other brands. their consistancy is so lacking and breaks up horribly. even in this tutorial it looks like you werent really enjoying them.

I didn't look like I was enjoying them?
