- Let me share some super simple coloring techniques with you that will give you a great result no matter what medium you like to use. I am using Alcohol Markers, cause they are my fave. All the products I am using to make today's SHAKER card are from the latest release at the Not 2 Shabby Shop. Hi Carrie. Thanks for showing us this wonderful box full of goodies. I love all things beach and sea. I can't stop laughing at the Tropical Hippo Ephemera. I would love to have a cutout of the Hula Hippos that are 5 feet high in my craft room. That's a great way to start the day. I think your shaker card turned out perfectly and you color beautifully❤

Really pretty and fun! You were not far me when you were in Wa. State. Victoria BC is just above Port Angeles and a nice ferry ride on the Clipper to Seattle. You and your family should come visit Victoria BC one year. If you come in December, you’d be able to see our famous Butchart Gardens decorated for the holidays. It’s stunning and so much fun going through after eating supper. I’ve been once in December and we were there for about 3 hours and had a great time. Not often that we get snow here and if we do, it’s not for too long at all. Thank goodness for that! From spring thru fall it’s stunning with all the seasons growth. They have a fantastic gift shop, tea room and cafeteria. We have many other fantastic attractions too all over Vancouver Island. If you wanted to do whale watching tour, you have a choice of the big motorized raft/boat, but…if you have a bad back, I would not recommend it. It travels fast and really crashes against the waves. There is a cabin cruiser that also goes out. There’s also a fantastic whale watching tour up island in Long Beac area that has the cabin cruiser. I’ve heard that ones the best. Ooops sorry, got onto a long one. 😊❤️🇨🇦
Oh my word, we were in Port Angeles! We wished we would have thought it through more and had our passports in order, so that we could have gone to Victoria! We ate at Downriggers and watch the boats going over! I guess we just did not realize how close we would be when planning our trip to Olympic National Park. We loved it so much. I once went on a cruise to Alaska and we stopped in Victoria and went to a tea room. I also took a double decker bus tour. It was really fast, just part of the day. So, I'd love to go back! I wonder if we could take our RV on the ferry? We did the entire trip from Idaho in our RV. A little home on wheels. I love it. Now, I went long too! Thanks for the chat. I'm still trying to get out of vacay mode and back to real life, lol.
@@CarrieRhoades Wow! That would have been so cool if you could’ve come over to the island. You can see Victoria from Port Angele’s. Yes you can bring the RV over. Not sure what the BC Ferries would charge you. I haven’t been on the ferries since 2013. I don’t drive, so I usually walk on and off. Friends want to go to Vancouver city this summer for a day. 2 of us are senior citizens so it’s free for us Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. I always forget about that part, so haven’t gone to mainland to visit family in eons. Mind they haven’t come over either. Gas is over $2 per litre up here and even more on the mainland. It’s crazy! Price of furnace oil has gone up 4x in price in 3 years. I have small 90 gallon oil tank which doesn’t go far. I got it filled up from completely empty to 100 gallons, the price in December was just over $800. In March it came to just over $1,000! When I first moved into my trailer in 2006, it cost $300 to fill the tank each time. I’m exceedingly cheap and wear coats in the house a lot. I’m so thrilled we don’t get really cold temperatures here! The dampness is another story with living on the Pacific. I’ve got water in 3 directions near my place, just a matter of a few blocks. It is expensive here, but you’d get a lot of money back when you exchange from US to CAD. Hope you can make it here one day. Plan on coming for a couple of weeks so you can see a huge amount of the island. Google Vancouver Island. Victoria is on the southern most tip and we’re the capital city of British Columbia. We also have a rain forest here and a bigger one on the mainland. They’re very rugged so need to be able to do those trails. But we have wonderful trails all over. Have a good day. 😊❤️🇨🇦
