- His Eminence, Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol talks about the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Machairas, Archimandrite Arsenios Machairioti, of blessed memory, at a presentation in memory of Fr. Arsenios at the Town Hall of Oriklini on December 15, 2013. Amongst other recollections, he describes how they met; the spiritual relationship they had; he sketches the personality of Fr. Arsenios; the talents with which he was graced; his accomplishments as Abbot of Machairas Monastery, and his exceptional spiritual state. His Eminence also goes on to describe some incidents concerning the accident with the helicopter, which occurred on September 11, 2004.
