I'll bet you a nickel she doesn't: it's apparently been at least a day in Kansas, and there's mention that "they almost lost her". That might be enough to put a little gumption behind Auntie Em and Uncle Henry to stand up to Ms. Gulch. Also: my guess is also that, after a cyclone, the local government has a lot more to worry about than baby Toto, and has probably put that complaint way, way on the back burner. And who knows what happened to the Gulch property and to the lady herself. She might have more to worry about too.
"I was the only kid in the audience who couldn't understand why Dorothy would want to go home. lt was a mystery to me. To that awful black-and-white farm, with that aunt who was dressed badly, with smelly farm animals around when she could live with winged monkeys and magic shoes and gay lions. I didn't get it." - John Waters
It wasn't about going home as much as it was about family. Her Auntie M was just her aunt and caretaker because her parents died. But Dorothy realized her Auntie M was like her mother now. She realized she loved her, and missed her.
“Then she meets the scarecrow who insists people can talk without their brain and I’m just looking around at the world thinking that’s probably true” 😂😂 I do too
In the book the shoes fall off as she’s being swept back to Kansas inside another tornado, and they’re lost forever in the desert that separates their world from ours. Also ten points for the Twister reference, I snorted.
You laughing at the word "infarction"... 😆 The way you said "magic shoes" made me bust out laughing. RUN, FORREST, RUN!! 😂😂😂 I frigging love you, muffin! ❤️
The movie would have had a very different story if only there had been a latch on that basket. I thought you were going to say, "The stars of our movie today are ... the lady from the Folgers Coffee commercials." That was the Wicked Witch.
This is my mother's favorite movie, she was just 21 when The Wizard of Oz was released. Two weeks later Germany would invade Poland and Mom would never hear from relatives still there again. Mom was so sad when Judy Garland died. I myself consider Wizard to be in the top 10 greatest movies of all time. On my 70th birthday, I got to see it on the Big Screen for the first time ( seen it dozens of times on TV) The tickets went on sale and were all sold out in less than 15 minutes. As for the Wicked Witch of the West, Margret Hamiton set the gold standard on what a movie Witch should be and what all actresses since have aspired to. It movie making at its best. You can say what you want about the old studio system that was in place, they sure had the craft of movie-making down cold.
I believe she sees them all again in the afterlife and they’re watching over you and all got to watch the movie with her in the great beyond…or should I say over the rainbow?
58 years old and I had never noticed the handgun in Scarecrow's hand. Considering they played this every year through my childhood, that's pretty trippy to me.
This is one of your best! Maybe it's because I grew up watching that movie on regular old tv once a year. I was a grownup before I knew Oz was in color. We never got a color tv while I was still at home. Brilliant job!
Yeah, my parents too! They waited until I got married and left before they bought a color TV. I had to watch "Walt Disney's Wonderful World" in black and white, not in color. Such deprivation! BTW, I agree with the many folks who say that this is among your best of the best, MEF.
I just lost my Finn a couple months ago. It still hurts. I always said he was my little Toto. I miss him like crazy. Dogs are really the best part of this wretched existence.
In one episode, William Shatner played the Big Giant Head. Prof. Solomon, played by John Lithgow, welcomes him and asks him how was the trip. Shatner responds that it was awful and he had the weirdest dreams. Lithgow exclaims, "Me too!" I almost died of laughter after that exchange. Any twilight Zone fan (TV and Movie) would know why.
I know I've shared your channel with everyone I know and some I don't. You are Absolutely Fabulous!! I have choked on my coffee several times laughing at you and it was worth every sputtering second. Give Mama my love & condolences. Oops I almost forgot, thanks for all the laughter, I don't know you personally but...Love you Muffin! 😆
Oooh, if Jeb ever does TV shows, I'd LOVE to hear his take on AbFab! Even if just an Absolutely Fabulous special, or the film would be hilarious. Roast them Bitses!
"We're on our way to find some old man with the answers to all our problems"... Then they steal apples from a tree that didnt like it so he throws his apples at them... Wtf was the point of that"???... LOL (then they meet the lion)... "Lordy another one that that's got problems.. why didn't someone making this movie find some self-help books for these people"???.. Lmfao! Funny
4:37 - OMG, he does look kind of like Donny Walberg! 9:07 - That woman has way too much rouge on! 10:01 - That always bothered me, too. What's to stop the old bitch from coming right back and taking Toto again? Maybe public opinion, since everyone in town knows Dorothy was injured by the tornado and nearly died? Or maybe the bitch really was killed in the tornado?
I'm really happy my name is in the credits for this one. One of my favorite movies. (And I'm a Monkee fan too) This one was special. I hope you guys are doing ok.
"We're off to sing the same song, the song we've been singing all day!" :D
Man, that ear worm is STUCK IN MY HEAD ALL DAY!!! 🤣🤣🤣
"Ain't got no brain but still woke up and chose violence." I'm ded
how does this man not have 18 million subscribers?!
The algorithm is a mean sum'bitch. He should have that and more.
Not sure but I share with all my friends his videos
He’s too good for it
Methinks this kind of humor appeals to only a small slice of the youtube audience.
*^Jeb screams in Blanche^*
I lost it. 😂😂😂
4:52 "Weeeeeer're off to sing the same song" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Then something that involves our heroine and some poppies..."
Thank you for that pun.
Jeb is a master punster💛😃
“Dorothy’s in trouble, poppy exposure”
Sorry to hear about your dog Jeb. Tell mama we said that y'all are in our prayers.
😭🐕🐕🐕🐕
Please tell mama she, you, and your dog are in all of our prayers. Losing your best friend is hard no matter how old you are.
We love you Muffin!!!
Where in the video did Jeb say their dog passed?
"Bad '80s wedding dress.." This is TOO friggin accurate! 😂
My big fat gypsy wedding has entered the chat.
"The puffier the sleeves, the longer our love will endure." 80s wedding gowns all designed by Anne Shirley!! 💖💖💖
Omg I never thought about the fact Dorothy really does go back to square one at the end.
I'll bet you a nickel she doesn't: it's apparently been at least a day in Kansas, and there's mention that "they almost lost her". That might be enough to put a little gumption behind Auntie Em and Uncle Henry to stand up to Ms. Gulch.

@02:16 "i gotta go, dorothy. We got cows!"🤣

Psst same
How do expect a woman who was running the farm to dress?
Fun fact: the actress who played Auntie Em was very fashion conscious in real life.
Yall this a quote from John Waters. He was a kid when he thought this. Get a sense of humor.
@@levelup9547 It still opened a discussion. Chill.
“Then she meets the scarecrow who insists people can talk without their brain and I’m just looking around at the world thinking that’s probably true” 😂😂 I do too
Thanks for brightening up my Monday.... but I'll be singing this song all day.
In the book the shoes fall off as she’s being swept back to Kansas inside another tornado, and they’re lost forever in the desert that separates their world from ours. Also ten points for the Twister reference, I snorted.
The Muppet version is alot closer to the book
2:43 “That bad 80s wedding dress…” 😏 Princess Diana’s wedding dress!
You laughing at the word "infarction"... 😆
The way you said "magic shoes" made me bust out laughing. RUN, FORREST, RUN!! 😂😂😂
I frigging love you, muffin! ❤️
In the book, the Wicked Witch of the West actually had an umbrella, not a broom. Which did make more sense, and foreshadowed her sensitivity to water.
👍👍
MESSAGE FROM THE BIG, GIANT HEAD: Sorry for your loss, mama.
The movie would have had a very different story if only there had been a latch on that basket.
I thought you were going to say, "The stars of our movie today are ... the lady from the Folgers Coffee commercials." That was the Wicked Witch.
No one under the age of 60 would know that reference though. ☕️

Wow! That’s horrible for your mom. I always wondered about that being the same year…
I believe she sees them all again in the afterlife and they’re watching over you and all got to watch the movie with her in the great beyond…or should I say over the rainbow?
I am not a big fan of "musicals" except THIS ONE. This is a grand classic of old school film making! Can watch any time! 👍😊👍
58 years old and I had never noticed the handgun in Scarecrow's hand. Considering they played this every year through my childhood, that's pretty trippy to me.
All this time and I never noticed the Tin Man unwinding the rope to the Wizard’s balloon!
This is one of your best! Maybe it's because I grew up watching that movie on regular old tv once a year. I was a grownup before I knew Oz was in color. We never got a color tv while I was still at home. Brilliant job!

You should watch the Muppet version because it’s much closer to the book
Jeb's singing voice is downright angelic.
That fire puff severly injured the witch actress, too. She was in severe pain when she was in other scenes.
This movie is 100 yrs Old. You are not informing anyone anything new.
That movie set seemed to have been a total death trap. What with poisonous makeup, asbestos snow flakes, fire hazards; the list goes on.
@@JJ-te6txwas new to me!
HELP I wasn't expecting the 3rd rock reference, I love that show lmao.
"A young woman comes to town and kills the first person she meets. She then makes three new friends and they go off to kill again."
It’s the tin man and his sabotage for me lmaooooo I just can’t believe it
9:55 It was a dream of extraordinary magnitude.
I just lost my Finn a couple months ago. It still hurts. I always said he was my little Toto. I miss him like crazy. Dogs are really the best part of this wretched existence.
"but he's a crotchety farrrt" lol, who (in movie timeline) use to be James Franco
Oh man the Twister references are everything. Thanks for another laugh Jeb!
I love the Twister and Forest Gump references.
Where did Dorathy think she was gonna live when she got back to Kansas? Her house is parked in Munchkinland.
Toto got payed more than the lollipop guilds
Hi Jeb! Thank you for blessing my day with another video
How about "O Brother where art thou" explained for northerners?
You truly outdid yourself with this 1, Muffin! There wasn't a moment that I wasn't laughing my head off!
I know good and hell well Jeb didn't say they hear a little crunch! I'm drooling over here right now!
Im pretty sure the Twister took out Ms Gulch. Toto is a free dog.
This channel was recommended to me and now I can't stop binging. So funny; I love the light-hearted content and inside jokes. Keep it man!
1:40 Sh*t doggy. You smart. 😹
I love 3rd Rock From the Sun!
The Big Giant Head was in the TBBT I watched, just before coming here.
In one episode, William Shatner played the Big Giant Head. Prof. Solomon, played by John Lithgow, welcomes him and asks him how was the trip. Shatner responds that it was awful and he had the weirdest dreams. Lithgow exclaims, "Me too!"
I almost died of laughter after that exchange. Any twilight Zone fan (TV and Movie) would know why.
4:54 The Fellowship of Oz
Painful and Life-changing 😘
2:49 According to Wicked, her name is Nessa Rose.
So sorry about your dog Jeb! Thank you for taking the time to make us and Mama happy
Shouts in Blanche!... Haaaaaa!
Oh Jeb this is one of your best! LOVE IT!
Now I am going to be humming the same song all day too🤣
Best start to the week!!
Thanks for another great MEF Jeb. Love ya muffin ❤️❤️❤️
Was that “miss this house and that house” a twister reference?
Yes lol
I know I've shared your channel with everyone I know and some I don't. You are Absolutely Fabulous!! I have choked on my coffee several times laughing at you and it was worth every sputtering second. Give Mama my love & condolences.

This was amazing Jeb! I loved it and I truly hope it raised your Mama's spirits, even just a little.
It is amazing how Princess Leia is on every movie.
I knew he was going to say Lizas mama.
This is so awesome! Thanks for making my day!
My favorite film described by my favorite comedian. It doesn't get any better.
Princess Leia and the wicked witch, now there's a show I'd like to see.
The NKOTB jokes had me rolling. XD
YEEEEEEESSSSS!!! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!! THANK YOU JEB!!
Hagmobile😂😂😂😂
You should do "Somewhere In Time."
LOVE THAT MOVIE, so i agree.
The sepia tone comments are my favorite part 😂
"We're on our way to find some old man with the answers to all our problems"... Then they steal apples from a tree that didnt like it so he throws his apples at them... Wtf was the point of that"???... LOL
(then they meet the lion)...
"Lordy another one that that's got problems.. why didn't someone making this movie find some self-help books for these people"???.. Lmfao!
Funny
This is a perfect video for the Leia voice and I love it!
9:00 That's more true than you realise hahaha
Love Love love I can't wait for the next video 😆😆
Hey Jeb, love you muffin. Thanks for the vids. :D
I've never noticed that gun😳
2:07 Aaaa, that's a Twister reference!
I luv the video. How about matilda next.
Love you Muffin!
I love the Twister references!!!
That was funny. I love the wizard of oz and gave me a new prospective on it. LMAO
Looking at the world thinking thats true.... true.
“A Christmas Story”, please, if you can.
I never noticed the tin man releasing the rope before this video.
this was the best video so far
lol I've never noticed Toto getting scared by the tin man before
2:50 LOL My name is Trudi!
8:19 Dorothy could've done that to melt her in the first place.
I'm really happy my name is in the credits for this one. One of my favorite movies. (And I'm a Monkee fan too) This one was special. I hope you guys are doing ok.
heck yeah new video
Will you do Shop Around the Corner?
That was funny right there!
There better be a 'friends of Dorothy' joke in here or I'm unsubbing.
😂😂😂 yaaaas 🙌🏾
Heck yeah 3rd Rock From the Sun
Twister references lol
so good
Incoming message from the Big Giant Head
I’d love to see you explain the 2nd Wizard of Oz. That movie was a mess
I always wondered why this movie didn't sit right with me, besides Dorothy wearing shoes that didn't belong to her.
Missed you Muffin
The muppet version is much more accurate
The stuff that fell from tony Montana’s desk on to set was fucking asbestos y’all
00:10:50
1939 Masterpiece in same class as GWTW.❤
The books are much darker though.
