    Habs have a decent development team now. Eiserman could be s good project to make his game more complete.

      I agree. It's on them to find out if he's willing to learn and if he is, he has a solid foundation with an elite skill.

      I think if Eiserman can have the same type of development as Caufield did in NCAA he'll be a force in the NHL

    You'll hear it here first, the Habs pick will be Catton or Iginla, maybe Lindstrom if he slips ;)

      Theyre not drafting Catton for sure.

    Seeing the videos from the NTDP with Hagens and hearing that he can go number one next year. Who do you think has more potential Celebrini or Hagens?

    • @bluechipprospect

      Wow, that's a question !
      I prefer Celebrini's game overall. He's more diversified offensively and a better more dynamic skater. Celebrini had almost a goal per game in the USHL as a very young D-1 player. I don't know if you know but that's hella impressive ! That's what Eichel and Matthews were doing in their respective D-1 season
      Now if you add the fact that he basically has no holes in his games and is a high end competitor, chances are Celebrini will be the best out of those 2 in my opinion.
      But one crucial bit of information is missing though and that's Hagens draft year of development.
      McKenna in 2026 is the one to watch out for. The guy is 16 years old and he's the best player on a team that has Cayden Lindstrom and Andrew Basha on it...

    Alright I asked this before. You’re going to the podium who you taking Cole eiserman or Berkly catton?

    • @bluechipprospect

      I take Catton. First, I have Catton at 4 and Eiserman at 5 so just on that logic it should be Catton.
      But it's also that Catton is a play driver that's a big time player in all 3 zones. What he's been doing on his own in Spokane is nothing short of impressive imo.

      Neither one will be top five, so the Habs may have a shot at Eiserman . Catton they will not pick, they already have way too many short guys

      In that order:
      1. Demidov
      2. Catton
      3. Lindstrom
      4. Dickinson/Levshunov
      5. Eiserman
      6. Yakemchuk
      7. Iginla/Buium/Parekh/Silayev

      I don't think there's a huge chance Demidov is there but if Michkov was available at 7, Demidov could be available when we pick.
      A lot of the same issues are there. Teams can't go to Russia, he doesn't have a long contract but he could be forced to sign one to have time in the KHL or VHL instead of MHL. Then there's the fact that Putin is putting up new rules where young players who sign a contract will have to play in KHL for a certain amount of time before leaving Russia.
      So the risk factor is still there which could definitely make him drop a bit.

    Feels like a Caufield with a better shot but worst everywhere else.

    • @bluechipprospect

      Shot: Eiserman ≥ Caufield | more diversified
      Puck skills: Eiserman ~= Caufield
      Skating: Eiserman < Caufield
      Physical tools: Eiserman > Caufield
      Compete: Eiserman ≤ Caufield
      In a simplified way, that's basically how I personally see it.

    • @anti-uefa

      Plus, skating can be relatively easily fixed, compete may come with time/can be teached in some cases - but you can't teach size

    • @Blue-bv1ur

      @@bluechipprospect Except Eiserman barely uses his physicality like at all, he is a big project for the team that will draft him I think the habs are much better off drafting a guy like Catton/Demidov/Lindstrom or even Parekh.
      I wouldn't be surprised to see Eiserman dropping to 9th+ overall and he definitely wouldn't be the BPA at 5-7th where the habs are projected to pick.
      You are going to teach him how to skate, compete and use his body when he has barely improved since his D -1 (also regressed in some aspects) year so what makes you think he's going to pan out. (His ceiling imo is a 50pts guy with 30 goals and 20 assists) a decent 2nd liner.
      1. Demidov
      2. Lindstrom
      3. Catton
      4. Parekh

    • @bluechipprospect

      I disagree with a lot of what was said but evaluating 17 yo is so subjective. What I see and project might not align with what you saw and what you project.
      With that said, i don't see how a team will need to teach him how to skate, his skating is more than adequate imo.
      While he doesn't use his strength to send big hits, he absolutely uses his physical tools on the board, he uses his physical tools to lean on defenders and to play big on the forecheck. It's not consistent but as his game matures, and as he moves up and the game becomes harder, I don't see why his competitiveness wouldn't grow with it. It's never going to be a strength I think but I'm sure it'll be just fine.
      The last point I disagree with is that he hasn't gotten better since his D-1 season. It's something we hear a lot but I don't think it's true. If you watch him and you expect him to be a play driver making plays all over the ice and a 2 way force then yeah maybe you could see this season as a disappointment. But that was never Eiserman and he never projected that way.
      Has his passing got a lot better ? It really did.
      Has he learned to use his bigger frame to protect the puck and win battles ? He really did.
      Is he a better skater than this time last season ? Yes he is.
      Does he play more in the middle of the ice or in periphery of the net compared to last season ? Yes he does.
      Is he still a finisher that think shoot first ? That will not change. You'd want a better balance but you absolutely want that guy to shoot.
      So like you, I would take Demidov and Catton before him since I have them 2nd and 4th respectively, maybe Lindstrom too since he's a natural center but to me, Eiserman is definitely in that group.
      Jeez that was a long answer 😆

      Honestly, I have no clue how people get to that conclusion but it is what it is and they're all entitled to their own opinion.
      On the other hand, I look at the McKenzie list who's actually a poll of NHL scouts and he's ranked 4th.
      For me at least, I don't think there's 12 players that I can say are better than Eiserman in this draft.
