Hi. Could you explain in detail how you hooked up the guide wire to the station in such narrow conditions. Manual states you have to take the second end of the guide wire go past the station and hook it up from behind with 1m of the wire at least in the back. How did you do it? Thank you
Hi yes I had to bend the rules a little to fit the little fellows base in that tight spot, but its actually quite flexible, sometimes you need to take the wire out of the centre channel and lay it underneath so you can off set the base plate, then test it serval times to make sure it docks nicely, in this video I show my wiring in more detail th-cam.com/video/tTD3KANNRaQ/w-d-xo.html
@@johnhall6538 thank you very much. So from what I saw in the video you provided its not necessary to leave 1m of wire behind the station, you made a 90degree angle and hooked it up
Hi. Is it possible to make an area - "no go" area if it has guide wire running through that area? Or the only way to stop robot going to a certain part of the lawn is to physically wall it off?
The ZR does not use GPS to navigate the lawn it uses random algorithms. The wire is only used for the robot to return to the charge station th-cam.com/video/HEfC4L3Mft8/w-d-xo.html
Would love to have one of these in Hawaii. 🙂

How deep in the ground does the guide wire go?
3cm, Wire can be surfaced mounted if secured to ground with plastic nails securely.
@@ambrogiouk Thanks. Just got the ZR. Trying to understand how the radar works to avoid obstacle. 😎
@@RussellHogan the radar works similarly to the automatic radar sensors in a car
@@ambrogioukThanks. Would not the wire get cut when you scarify your lawn?
@@RussellHogan care would need to be taken and the position of wire noted where the wire is installed
wasn´t that not sold as a GPS lawnmover, why is the wire there. That is fake sale.

It is a radar mower, not a gps
Yes it uses radar to identify garden obstacles and presence of grass or no grass @@YDS19zz
