the FS skill tree is what i wud change, slightly.. lose the "spell focus", u want to lose mana, so as to have less then 100%, greatly improving the damage of ur Abyss. (and other tech, having that extra 15% base damge is huge). then also lose the "combat speed", most other dangerous FS assasins (and others) are running ala punshment these days. which is 20% more damage. and so often u use a burnout to engage(in a clump often) or run away, both situations where u spec dont wanna be taking 20% more damage. And now u have 2 more points to spend on things that give u more damage, like "kindle" longer smolders, compacting more damage on sucsse hits etc.. and heat it up or trial by fire, or whatever, imo
@MrProbstandrew I was looking at spell focus last night actually and I totally forgot about ditching zephyr cakes, I really appreciate the insight man, im gonna try out these changes!
I would change the ring, replace the burning with crippling to increase that slow. I also run void damage instead of fire to maximize damage on the abyss. I also use void damage on my runeglass instead of fire.
@DrunkinMonkey-vz7ih oh yes crippling on the ring would be interesting. Increasing the slow duration would be very beneficial. I'll have to give that try and as far void damage I've got a ring with void damage and leeching on I use here and there but as far as with the runeglass gems I keep those ignited because I use the same gear for my Finisher build and it would be expenses to keep switching them out but for build purposes yes the more void damage the better.
yeah, in my abyss FS build i also run void damage ring, instead of fire. and void runeglass etc too. the damage is better n higher and u get more vcalue outta voidalso cuz most have the highest fire resistance stats, but most dont have 20% void damage protection etc. can get a great hearty, leeching, void dam ring from gyps kiln @@Astrixx0

@Phiboi336 it's a must have for sure! You get so much damage from it, I'd also recommend running plagued crits on the staff instead of Flame attunement, that's what I'm going to switch to.
Gotta say been rockin something similar with heavy armor for a bit and the light version is a ton of fun. Sucks the game is so cancerous... Oh and a plagued crits firestaff w/ good traits is like 70-90k 🤣
It's such a good setup I've been a ton of fun with it! I can't wait to see how the build runs once all of these bugs are fixed. As far as with the Fire Staff, no doubt it's expensive however the Flintstick named Fire Staff is really good because you can add plague crits to it, you'll just be sacrificing Empowering Fireball for Vicious
